Some people just are not informed or know much about Louis Vuitton. My favorite one is when they think the monogram is never upside down. Great video with some helpful information. Loving your jewelry today!!!
Great video. I've definitely heard some of these. Not LV, but someone once tried to tell me that my Hermes scarf was fake because they couldn't see the pattern as well on the back side.
Awesome video Autumn!! 👏👏👏 A woman recently commented on a *preloved* LV unboxing of mine that came with an older style dustbag. She said the dustbag “looked made in China and I could spend a little more to make it look authentic” just because it’s not the current style of dustbag. 🙄🤦♀️
So informative. Great video! Had me turning all my bags along the canvas to see what you were showing, and didn’t even notice that one side was upside down until watching this😂
the neverfull handles are also sewn to break away without ripping the canvas if the 300lb weight limit is exceeded so it can be easily fixed❤ louis has the worst gold plating now🙈
Autumn, thank you for this. I learned so much, as I always do from you, all important things to tuck away. I was especially relieved that you addressed the red glazing. There have been so many examples in my bags only, where it’s so different in appearance. For that reason, I really dislike it.
I recently went to one of the LV boutiques and there were bags with paper (like thin nice card stock) tags. I didn’t ask if this was new or not, but they did not have the LV button like logo hanging from the tag like the fake ones. Anyway, when I do shop pre-loved, I always get them authenticated! Great video Autumn!
I agree with you on the quality going down at LV. I purchased a dupe (to see if I really liked the style), and it seemed like a pretty good dupe, except the hardware was a bit bright. I went ahead and purchased the same bag at the LV store in San Antonio, and when I compared the 2 bags, the hardware was the same. 😒
Was there ever a bag like the pochette metis but with a pocket on the front? I don't think I've ever seen one, but saw a pic of someone wearing a bag like this and it definitely seemed off to me.
While your Neverfull looks symmetrical and well made, I can't imagine paying thousands of dollars for "sloppy craftsmanship" as you admit with their modern day quality issues. I guess vintage and preloved are the best ways to go nowadays, unless you're into replicas, which I don't think are anymore unethical than their authentic counterpart brands, (who have been caught taking advantage of immigrants with extremely low wages, almost slave labor in the "luxury" countries that they label on their bags, or manufacturing in China and then importing materials to be assembled in the luxury countries just to be able to claim the label 'made in France', which is not the same, etc).
I have 2 multicolor speedy bags. 1 has date code of 2003 and the other one is 2006. The fonts of the S Locks on the front pockets of both bags are so different! Which made me initially think the latter bag is fake... but clearly hardwares are also not consistent even with same design bags (wish I could show the photos here)
I have an older Speedy that has the brass zipper in it and for the longest time I didn't carry it because it would make my hands stink! I'm not sure if it was what they treated it with or what, but it finally wore off. I bought it brand new from LV and I certainly didn't expect that LOL.
Thanks for all of these hints. I bought what I think is a really good fake bag (second hand at a thrift store so it was really inexpensive). There are several reasons I think it is a fake but there is one reason that I’d like to ask you about. Is it true that all metal on the real bags will be marked with the logo or LV name including internal rivets? In the bag I have the rivets say high quality leather not Louis Vuitton.
Autumn, I loved this video so much. I learned a lot. So I have a mixture of authentic and non authentic and I also sell my authentic bags online. There’s just one problem I have difficulties with knowing for sure which dust bag is authentic so I just don’t include it in the sales 🤦🏻♀️. There are some that are just bad and you know, but there are some that are in fact truly good ones. Can you show us some authentic dust bags? Thank you
This video begs me to recommend the 2015 episode of Broad City called "Knockoffs." It is uproarious fun and though I do not know you, I feel from watching your channel that you would love it.
All these things really needed to be said! FACTS! Thank you for the shout out! ❤
whoever said the lv is never upside down hasnt seen many louis bags at all have they😂
I think that's true.
Some people just are not informed or know much about Louis Vuitton. My favorite one is when they think the monogram is never upside down. Great video with some helpful information. Loving your jewelry today!!!
Great information and 100% have heard all of these myths. Great examples.
I really enjoy your videos. You’re so knowledgeable and thorough and calm and articulate. And love your green collection.
Thank you. :)
Great video. I've definitely heard some of these. Not LV, but someone once tried to tell me that my Hermes scarf was fake because they couldn't see the pattern as well on the back side.
And, they obviously are very wrong!
I always enjoy your videos and learn so much. Thanks for sharing.

Incredibly helpful. Tysm for doing this. Have a beautiful day
Love this video!!!!!! I learn something new about LV great content🥰
Thanks so much! Real eye opener. Got a bag at consignment think it was fake. Not sure now 😫
It's really hard to tell sometimes. There are some excellent fakes out there.
Thank you 😮 I learned alot😊

How did I not know that!?!
I had no idea!
Great video! You will save some folks a lot of headaches!
Thanks for the insight and information 😊❤
Great information! Thank you for the video.
Excellent information-thank you!
All these bags are beautiful
Fabulous video, Autumn!! Very helpful! ⭐️
Thank you. :)
Great information - thanks.
Great info as always

Great info. I never use the shopping bag or box to determine authenticity, even if the packaging looks real.
Any hints about hardware? Do all LV rivets have the name or logo for example?
Not a myth: everyone thinks they’re an expert 😮😮
Thanks for such an informative presentation.
good evening autumn🌈🌞
Good afternoon from the west coast!

Great video! Thanks for the shout out by proxy 😊
Thanks for this video. I don't know all there is to know about LV (the lingo, etc..). But I just bought a Neverfull. I will appreciate it more now. ❤

That was fun 🙌

It's a Monceau
I can’t find a date code on my vintage Louis Vuitton Chantilly anywhere!
Did you look inside closer to the seam? Should be imprinted on.

I have a French Company Speedy which is approximately 40 years old. It is still in great condition.
I have an older Speedy that has the brass zipper in it and for the longest time I didn't carry it because it would make my hands stink! I'm not sure if it was what they treated it with or what, but it finally wore off. I bought it brand new from LV and I certainly didn't expect that LOL.

I'm not an authenticator so I can't say for sure but I've never seen LV hardware that says "high quality leather."
Good reps copy everything they can that is real. I assume that locks of authentic bags come in a box because it did on my rep speedy.
There is no picture on your video!
I tried it and it works for me. Maybe try refreshing your browser or try a different browser or computer.

LV/ French company bags are actually made with "treated" (painted) leather instead of Vachetta; They also have Brass plated hardware...
I bought a Montsouris backpack with seriously crooked buckle. From the website. Returned.

❤❤❤
Louis Vuitton is 6 squares down from the zip/edge
❤
Sometimes the fake look better than the real thing😮
Hardware..another reason to buy vintage.
❤
