@@bdach88Civivi’s premium brand, WE Knife, makes knives far superior to benchmade anyway. For the price of a bug out with s35vn, you can get the same blade material with milled titanium scales. I also have $25 sencut knives that came with a better edge and fit and finish than my buyout or mini griptillian. But you do, keep paying more for less.
I buy knives I enjoy using, and honestly I enjoy using my Civivi, CJRB, and Kizer knives as much or more than I enjoy my Spydercos. Spyderco is good, but many budget options available right now are great, regardless of the price

Kinda of crazy that a BM bailout is within single digit percentages of what a Sebenza cost less than 10 years ago. For scale a BM 940 was roughly $160 and a small Seb was $320 in 2014ish.
Received my first Stitch last week (black aluminum auto with apocalyptic stonewash non serrated blade), and tbh I'm a bit disappointed with the whole knife in general. It came sharp but put my own edge on it, and now it's super sharp but not that slicey at all. Idk if it's because of how thick the blade stock is, but it does not cut well at all. I love the ergos of the knife and love the blade shape, but don't think it's gonna be a knife I keep. sucks cause I originally planned on acquiring one of each non serrated model, but I don't think I'm even gonna keep the basic black one.

The Banter YESSS, Ben is a thoughtful designer. Asking this seriously but, why are so many drawn to per colored plastic??? Absolutely in love with the ZT 0350 jus wish they'd come back wth 0300. : )
disappointed that there's only two options for the wharncliffe baby banter. I have a g10 handle version of the old baby banter and was thinking about picking one of these up too but I'm really not a fan of micarta.
1. lets normalize calling Sencut, Civivi, We, SFG brands, Son, Father, Grandfather brands. For two brands like CJRB and ARTISAN brother / sister brands 2. lets go back to calling blades that are flat on the bottom wharncliffe and if it has a slight curve sheepsfoot. it doesnt matter how the blade wraps around the top. not reverse tanto though. that blade shape name doesnt even make any sense. It would be an inverted tanto atleast. Reversed would be the 2 corners of the cutting edge closer to the handle. 3. cyber-muk was dope,
I have yet to have ever owned a spiderco military type, and the blade looks really good,, but I don't ever feel it's worth buying a budget version as I have plenty of budget knives. I worry that I am not having potentially the best in modern utility without it though. (I mean,, we just don't carve wood anymore, so the swiss army style blade tip just isn't as important)
I recently acquired a bailout in the woodland green scales and a 3v blade with the glass break bail pommel.. does benchmade sell the non-glass breaker bail pommel for those of us who might want to switch without buying a whole other knife ?

Hey DC. I carry a fixed daily in cross draw. I am going from wearing a belt daily to suspenders. Any recommendations on how to still carry a fixed blade besides in the pocket
Love your videos. Magnacut has really made a big impact in the knife nerd world, which I am a part of... But... What knife steel would you recommend if I don't need rust resistens but ability to hold an edge and toughness. Greetings from Sweden.
@jedin3756 If you're looking for good edge retention and toughness without caring about corrosion resistance I'd recommend M4, 3V, 10V, Cru-Wear, or K390
@jedin3756 No problem man. I saw that you're from 🇸🇪! Some of my favorite knife steel comes from there by a company called Sandvik! 14c28n is the steel and many companies use it. Greetings from the United States 🇺🇸
3v doesn't have very good edge retention, 4v does. 10v, k390, s90v, 15v, maxamet, Z max, s110v, S125v, S390, M4, rex45, Rex76, Rex121, Zdp189, hap72 and many more all are incredibly long edge life steels.
Pardon the soon to be quite verbose comment to follow, but in my defense, y’all asked for it. K? K. For a knife like the Amirite, my personal rule still applies. If it is a profile, however similar to or reversed of the American or Japanese tanto, that includes only a *single* continuous sharpened belly (flat or curved) for its edge (no visible or feathered transition), it is not a reverse tanto. Bunka, sure. Kiritsuke, definitely. Cleaver with appropriate preface such as acute or obtuse depending on angle deg. at the tip, especially for taller blades, you bet! Just not “reverse tanto”. It’s just too broad, or has been used too broadly, to be truly useful. I have a knife by Babish in my kitchen that looks very close to the Amirite, called a “Clef” (a portmanteau of cleaver & chef). Just food for thought. For the Sencut, the blade shape is very sea bird bill to me, especially pelican or seagull. Might be a different enough identifier from the typical sheep’s foot/wharncliffe/reverse tanto conversation. You can add modifiers like “compound” for multi-ground bellies, and “snub nose” for shorter blades. Actually, many of the more interesting blade shapes I’ve seen recently put me in mind of bird beaks, especially where there’s a rise just above the point and/or raised jimping just forward of the pivot. Or dragons. Especially where serrations are involved. 👍🏻
That MSI really has my interest peaked moreso than any new knife I can think of in a good while, but it's just too big for something I would really want to carry often. I hope they come out with a mini hitting the 3 - 3.25ish mark. Would buy immediately.
"Rhinocerized sheepstoot.." I practically fell out. That was exquisite.
Im stil waiting for him to cut his finger while saying "fingersafe" 😂
Civivi is killing it. Every knife of theirs I see is significantly cheaper than what I’d expect. They’re like the opposite of Benchmade. 😂
So true!
Yeah if someone wants China produced crap that doesn’t have to follow no strict epa regulations that all of the American made knife manufacturers as to
Easy to be less expensive when you’re paying essentially slave wages to the Chinese factory workers.
Yep cheap steal and made in china. Definitely the opposite of benchmade

Yes, Jagt is Hunt in Danish. 👍
I think Thomas should define the blade shapes on your website. I like the cut of his jib!
Coolest thing on the table this week? Surprisingly the tomahawk. Have no use for it of course, but it looks so badass.
But it costs $525 and the sheath is sold separately for another $60. Such a price-gouging joke.
That mini banter is a killer. I want one
I got the mini praxis version with damascus and wood handels for 50 bucks an i am really happy about it, its my first nice knifeguy knife
@BlackSavvvagethe spyderco’s your probably talking about are limited editions that are probably 15x the price of this guy’s mini praxis

From the view of the praxus while in your hand it would make a fine fixed blade. There again there may already be and I missed it. If not there you go

The Civivi Traxler shape looks like the Grimsmo Norseman (minus the hollow grind)
Howdy again! As well as with the Tiger will be adding the Amphibian to the Stitch to make a awesome triple play!

The purple Baby Banter is PURPLE CANVAS MICARTA.
Ooooohhhhhhh
Im hoping we get a "Mini" Microtech Stitch someday, would love to see it with a 7" or even 6.5" OAL

I think the makers are just trying to troll you guys with some of these blade shapes. 😂
That new we😮 knife could be called a richMuck. It is very reminiscent of a Nessmuck

People will love these Microtech. Microtech really stepped up their game. Great job.
Like mine a lot. Maybe a bit too large for me and not my favorite clip but very well done.

The Nazca would compliment the stich very well.

The Amirite would be Reverse Tanto (K-Tip) “Kiritsuke” same exact shape Japanese Kiritsukes are made in.
I think if that WE Ignio were in the Civivi price range I'd be tempted.
