At the very outset, i would like to congratulate the Architects , Workers , and Visionaries who conceived the marvelous idea behind the conceptualization of a much needed State-of-Art Convention and Exhibition Centre complementing already existing ones in Delhi. I having worked as a Senior Manager in India Trade Promotion Organization and have been instrumental along with my erstwhile colleagues and co-workers in successfully conducting various Trade Fair Related Projects in Pragati Maidan as well as Participation in Overseas Fairs; i would like to reiterate time and again ITPO was not just a hub for hosting exhibition but IT PLAYED A SIGNIFICANT ROLE IN STORAGE AND DISSEMINATION OF TRADE INFORMATION SO VERY VITAL TO ANY INTERNATIONAL TRADE RELATED ACTIVITY; the erstwhile Business Information Centre (BIC), as well as the erstwhile National Centre For Trade Information(NCTI) in Pragati Maidan, was a virtual Source of Assistance to a whole lot of budding Exporters in SRATEGIZING HOW TO VENTURE INTO OVERSEAS MARKET by CARRYING OUT A VIRTUAL MARKET SURVEY FACILITATED by BIC AS WELL AS NCTI. All though this may not be an appropriate occassion to state yet i would fail in my duty to all my erstwhile colleagues WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED THROUGH THEIR SWEAT AND INTELLECT FOR FURTHERING INDIAS CONTRIBUTION in INTERNATIONAL TRADE by virtue of serving in different capacities in ITPO.; whole lot of important STAKEHOLDERS like ITPO RETIREES are LANGISHING FOR WANT OF POST RETIREMENT MEDICAL FACILITY IN ITPO.
