Love the looks of the soma, it looks fantastic! Unfortunately they no longer have the red color frame, they have a blue or green which I don’t like and they are out of stock anyways! I saw the series but is nice to see all the built in one video, cheers!
Thanks! Yeah, I’m not huge fan of the blue or green compared to V3 red frame. I caught a cold this week and it trashed my voice. So no voiceovers or taking head videos. I have another one in the can that’ll drop on Sunday. Much more informative content to come!
Hi there,Been enjoying the great info. I am new to bike packing. I am planning a Pacific Coast trip in September. From Portland to San Diego. I have a 3000.00 ish build budget. I think I’m sold on the Soma frame set but not positive. How would you roll with this distance and budget ?
At the time of this video I had White Industries 46/26. Worked like a charm. I’m now using 48/28 because I wanted a bit more speed in the flats and on those long descents here in the Wisco Driftless region.

I have a ton to say about this that the comments section won’t do justice. I’m going to make this into a video. Look for it soon!
What size chainrings did you use?
