My husband worked as a CPS Supervisor for 20+ years. Hearing you sing this song with such passion brought back many memories of foster care children and the many cases he worked. I’ve only seen him cry three times and hearing you singing this song…I have now seen him cry for the fourth time. He said if only birth parents could hear this song, he would hope and pray it would touch them and change their child’s life.🙏🏼

Gail. I appreciate you sharing this story with me. I remember sitting in the studio when recording this song, having to pause mid recording because I was getting emotional singing it, imagining what it would be like without my sweet dad around. Husbands and wife’s BOTH have such crucial parts in the lives of their kids. I hope and pray for the same thing your father does 💕

It is a beautiful rendition of this song. I immediately felt the distance I feel from heaven... and fell quickly into a baritone descant that easily flows with this song as a prayer for how to pray to feel closer to Father... how I don't often feel I am strong enough to bridge the gap I create(d). Your voice reminds me of a sister I lost. She had that quality of soft honesty. Thank you.🥲
