I used to play FM3 and FM4 when I was a kid, and today I've found out that I can play FM7 without an XBOX, right on my PC. So now I searching everything about FM7 in 2021 on reddit and youtube, to decide if I really want to spend my free time to play FM7.. Thank you!
Checking in at 2024. Forza 7 is just as playable as in 2021. Though they haven't fixed the bugs with the achievements on Xbox consoles, as well as that one track that people say the lane out of the pit stop is blocked.
Thought I'd try it again on Series X and LGCX TV. This game really holds up well. I'm not sure if and when they improved force feedback, but it is spot on. Can't wait for 8 now!
My favorite thing in this game is to go into the track day lobbies and just have fun, there's something special about being able to hone your skills and have fun at the same time. I just did close to 70 laps at Daytona in a custom C63 and tweaked it quite alot, Its just fun to be with others and race and stuff!
The FM games have always had that nice balance between sim and arcade. Which isn't a bad thing. Other racers lean too hard towards one or the other for my taste sometimes.
I still play FM7 almost daily. Yet I don't really consider myself a gamer... I can take it seriously for a couple weeks, then get drunk and race like shit for a couple weeks and still have fun. If FM4 is the ultimate simcade racer, FM7 is the second best simcade racer ever... I think it would be a lot more highly regarded if FM4 wasn't so good. I don't play any other games so maybe I'm biased.
I am very picky about racing games. I think the Need For Speed games are okay. They are fun arcade style racing, some being better than others. But I like realistic racing games more, such as Forza, and Gran Turismo. Unfortunately, Gran Turismo 7 just didnt cut the mustard for me. As much hype was put behind that game, it was still bland by the end of everything. The only thing that made me like it a little more was the VR compatibility. That made the experience a little bit cooler but shameful that thats not an option in career mode. Forza on the other hand, I feel is as good as a racing game is going to get. That is if you're looking for realism. I have played four Forzas; 1, 4, Horizon, and 7. Horizon 4 is above "okay" but I felt like it was missing something. But 7, 7 gave me everything Ive wanted in a racing game, and that includes making the vehicles appealing enough to where it tempts you to go out and actually go car shopping. Ive only played with a normal controller, not a steering wheel and pedals, so I know im not getting the fullest experience. But I'm still fully enjoying it. There isnt too much of anything really negative I have to say about this game. This is a must have for all auto racing enthusiasts. It has a little bit of just about everything
I loved FM2 back then. Right now I'm downloading FM7 from the MS Store. Was planning to get GT7 for my ps5, but after seeing what those scumbags pulled off with in game purchases and shady always online aspects I decided to skip that all together.
If it wasn’t for the complete ass online experience filled with rammers and dirty driving , this would be the best car game ever made, for those of us who like the competitive side of it, it’s a deal breaker and I’m so, so sad, because I love the customization, which is leagues better than GTS. There’s a reason GTS was featured at the Olympics.
Fully agree. I'm considering buying a PS5 just because of all the rammers and I have played just about every hopper there is. It's just one big ram fest. GT is way better than Forza.
The game has calmed down a lot, if you go into party’s with friends or play alone and get a clean lobby, it’s a lot of fun. The ban spree by turn 10 has cleaned the game up

If they was gonna wait till 2024 to release another forza they could of atleast kept updating this game..no reason we don’t have 2021 cars or 2020 cars considering they don’t plan on releasing another one for another 4 more years
I'm in a minority when I say this but I think fm7 is probably one of the best forza games. Fm7 has features such as the auction house and divisions that work really well at times. Not to mention turn 10 did a great job of helping turn fm7 into a competitive game with Forza race regulations. I think a lot of what gave forza 7 a bad rep was the problems it had at launch. Now it's a solid Forza title and if anyone buys fm7 it will help fund the next Forza Motorsport title to be even better.
I just finished a Grand Prix that gave the sweats. I play on the hardest difficulty for the genuine challenge, but the AI was SEVERELY unfair in this particular set of races for some reason. It kept ramming into me, and at some points even knocking me off the track/making me spin out, it could turn take any turn perfectly. But the thing that made my blood boil was the fact that, for some reason I attribute to be nothing other than divine intervention, who ever the three leading cars were had nitrous because I couldn’t catch them no matter how hard I drove my car. And I’m not talking about them keeping a second or two ahead, I’m talking about pulling ahead about 15-20secs in like two turns.
I feel this man. I have all assists off on controller and manual as well to get those tenths on every corner but the AI in some classes has impossible acceleration when you’re catching the lead group. Cockpit view is truly beautiful though

As I sat there in frustration-induced sweat; with the hypnotic swirls of simulated tire smoke engulfing the screen; only to be replaced by the checkered flag. I couldn’t help but feel…empty. I’ve accomplished what I sought to, yes. But the journey had reached its end. The battle was done and with it my desire to keep playing. With this I say goodbye to Forza (at least until Horizon 5 lolol)
I'm not a real big racing game type person, but what led me to enjoy Fm7 was the "Rock n Roll in the garage" aesthetic. The soundtrack with the Hard Rock and Blues vibes is amazing and makes the time inbetween races enjoyable. I always found the clean, showroom vibe in other racing games to be boring and it put me off from sticking with it.
i was an early buyer on PC. for every one thing they did right, they did 1 or more things wrong. inertia being the single biggest problem with the engine as a whole. if you dont already own it, dont bother. theres essentially no penalty system to deal with trolls or griefers online, so every single race you have to deal with people that should have been aborted. at this point, id say its best feature is that its no longer for sale. the concept for forza motorsport is fantastic. i want to love the game. but the execution leaves me longing for a frontal lobotomy.
I really like the game, the sound, sense of speed, steering wheel animation (unlike ACC), breadth of cars, tracks. Maybe the only think I would change is the tyre screeching when braking, I'd like it to be a smooth decrease of speed like in ACC or F1; I feel like I'm drifting all the time.
I guess we wont talk about the continous black screen during the multiplayer lobby which in turn prevents you from selecting a different car or making changes... If you are considering buying the game specifically for the multiplayer aspect, then buy, Gran Turismo. It's much more realistic and people drive properly in GT unlike the rammers in Forza. I'm even considering getting a PS5 just for that reason alone. That's how bad it is.

The servers are lively but if you're choosing public lobbies, always choose non-collision 'ghost' racing. The trolls and maniacs are all here, in this game. It is the worst of online racing.
Been driving in game on for a titles since 2014 on my forza hub app And let me tell you I can drift like a mofo and I see a lot of you new guys getting in the way in open drift or learning to drift don’t feel bad keep trying you will get it soon, btw I have like 2 drifting vids if any newcomers would like to see , I’m not famous not self promoting
This game isn't worth the price even today. If you have an Xbox One, you'll have more fun and a more specialized experience in FM6 or especially FM4 on Xbox 360.
hi i'm in new this game. When i go to free play i cant change maps there is only drag race. Do i have to complete something or unlock ? How can i select maps in free play mode ?
I still play GT5 and GT6, however I wanted a sim racer for the PS4/XBO generation. Gt sport has no offline capabilities, so Forza 7 seems to be my only option right now. Anyone know if this games career mode is fully accessible if not connected to the interwebs? I'm buying the disc.
I heard that it's almost impossible to play it on PC because most users have compatibility problems with Windows 10 (which is quite ironic...) as the game only works for very specific Win 10 versions and sometimes it is required a clean installation of Windows 10 before being actually able to play... is that true ?
Maybe those issues when the game was first released, for my personal experience I’ve been playing it on pc (Windows 10) for a long time now and I never had any issues with it
Hello. I bought fm7 on release. Installation was terrible, I had many bugs while playing. But now? Perfect installation and no bugs or crashes. Performance is better. I have 180 fps on max settings in fullhd. 70 fps in 4k upscaling. Cpu: i7 7700k gpu: rtx 3060ti os: win 10 pro 64bit. It runs also good with my old gtx 1060 6gb
So... this game is unavailable DIGITALLY, but you can still play it if you can get the Disc... even more of the reason im dreading the day they completely do away with disc drives and all physical games
I got a Radeon 6800 back in November and the game just played like crap. Not smooth at all even at high frame rates. I don’t know id it’s been the Radeon updates or forza 7 updates but the game as of July 2021 looks amazing. Finally smooth clear motion and the graphics even look better. For awhile I was still getting a better experience on the Xbox one x
Forza 7 multiplayer hoppers are filled with corner cutting cheaters and sneaky rammers who always try to win races but are nowhere near the top of the leaderboards. Why? Because they are not really fast respectful racers but like to think they are.
the game from a single player point of view is a flop, you have to spend credits to test drive cars in free play, cant choose the exact tracks you want to practice on, most cars are locked out and require a ridiculous grind to access them, and the loot boxes are a joke, no more +/- credits for difficulty ie having guide line on or off / stability and all that you need to spend credits to unlock them. i have countless hours playing every other forza motorsports game but 7 is a complete flop and to put the nail in the coffin the shaky cam effects in 3rd person every time you even bumped a nother car was enough to give me a headache

This game is perfectly fine for single player. You get cars constantly and you can drive any car in any track in the quick race selection. Even the high end cars which are the only cars that require a big amount of credits its not that bad if you’re playing against higher AI difficulty (extra credit %). Also, the cards system is pretty broken and you can get a crazy amount of credits from one quick race if you’re using the right cards. Its a pretty good Forza, I would say the best before Motorsport 4

short answer,no. in short the game is like shit wrapped in candy paper. Unless you get a proper steering wheel and pedal set up and take time setting the feel of the set up the game itself is bloody slaugh to play with. The handling and Ai are horrible in comparison to previous entries. Weather model is scripted so its not really a dynamic to begin with and the weather effects kick in almost instantly making already abysmal driving mechanics even worse. Recommended: buy during sale. Recommended use,torturing gran turismo and simracing fans:3

Added note: This game is VERY well optimized. A old school 980 ti or 1070 will get you 4k 60 fps.

After selecting Free play click RB to go to the setup menu then select race setup, under it you will find the maps and the game type as well

I don’t know id it’s been the Radeon updates or forza 7 updates but the game as of July 2021 looks amazing. Finally smooth clear motion and the graphics even look better. For awhile I was still getting a better experience on the Xbox one x
I'm tired of the P.I system, it makes me max every race and ultimately makes every car feel the same.

Forza 7 multiplayer hoppers are filled with corner cutting cheaters and sneaky rammers who always try to win races but are nowhere near the top of the leaderboards. Why? Because they are not really fast respectful racers but like to think they are.
is there anyone out there that likes to race rather than ram and crash? if so, drop me a pm, i won't hold my breath on that though.
It's buggy then and whenever but the supply of different cars is the best part and on top of that, great physics.
the game from a single player point of view is a flop, you have to spend credits to test drive cars in free play, cant choose the exact tracks you want to practice on, most cars are locked out and require a ridiculous grind to access them, and the loot boxes are a joke, no more +/- credits for difficulty ie having guide line on or off / stability and all that you need to spend credits to unlock them. i have countless hours playing every other forza motorsports game but 7 is a complete flop and to put the nail in the coffin the shaky cam effects in 3rd person every time you even bumped a nother car was enough to give me a headache

This game is perfectly fine for single player. You get cars constantly and you can drive any car in any track in the quick race selection. Even the high end cars which are the only cars that require a big amount of credits its not that bad if you’re playing against higher AI difficulty (extra credit %). Also, the cards system is pretty broken and you can get a crazy amount of credits from one quick race if you’re using the right cards. Its a pretty good Forza, I would say the best before Motorsport 4

Choose a car you’ve driven in real life and drive it at similar speeds. Pretty disappointing compared to other games. Great to blow off steam tho.

in short the game is like shit wrapped in candy paper.
Unless you get a proper steering wheel and pedal set up and take time setting the feel of the set up the game itself is bloody slaugh to play with.
The handling and Ai are horrible in comparison to previous entries.
Weather model is scripted so its not really a dynamic to begin with and the weather effects kick in almost instantly making already abysmal driving mechanics even worse.
Recommended: buy during sale.
