I'm a novice only a few days in myself...however I can point out that's not simply a consonantal ch, like kaf, but het which is a gutteral or sometimes known as a consonantal vowel I believe. The gutteral is aspirated enough we might not discern it with the vowel as an English speaker except for the throatiness over the vowel. I think about how the diphthong in Leah sounds really quick, it's a new vowel sound. Maybe מח becomes m'kha like that but with a gutteral consonant in the middle instead of a silent one at the end. Idk, hope someone who knows anything can say... Kinda wondering if the wrong form was used? מַחְבֶּרֶת transliterates as machberet while the one in the video seems to be transliterated as m'khaberet. Pretty close to an English speaker either way.
The letter Nun comes in 2 forms one in the begging/middle of a word which looks like this נ and one in a final form this happens only if the letter Nun is at the end of the word. In that case the letter Nun looks like this ן this is where you might confuse it with the letter Vav which loos similar but shorter, it looks like this ו. (more like the size of the letter i in English, where final Nun is longer and goes down more) hope it was helpful good luck!!
@@old-sage Thank you! I think I simply need practice discerning those differences. I've been working at this for almost a month and feel like things are going pretty slow. I am hoping to get my brain around it soon!

HOW COME YOUR LETTERS LOOK LIKE NO OTHER HEBREW LETTERS IN EXISTANCE
The way to read words in Hebrew looks like to read words in Arabic. It's from right to left.
I need clarity on the difference between a vuv and nun, they seem to look the same in the lesson. I'm sure there is something I'm missing. Thanks!

נ ן Nun
ו vav is shorter
( I ) this is a nun that you use only at the end of a word.
The regular nun is this נ
שלום
