    TLDW:
Starting from 51%, the 45W charging is 3 minutes faster than the 25W charger.
Starting from 1%, the 45W charger needed 65 mins to get to 100%. Seems 25W charger would do it in about 90 mins, so 25 mins slower.

I'm very curious onto your battery temps , i noticed from my end , whenever i charge it via SFC 2.0 , it charges rapidly at 30w+ however once the battery temps hit 37c it starts to throttle down to 13w charge , which doesn't take long btw , only about 2 mins or so for it to overheat.

I actually just bought a really cheap $10.00 45W GaN brick it works great (hopefully it doesn't blow up) and I've been using UGREEN usb-c to usb-c cables for years. The cables are awesome, nice and thin and have a braided sleeve, they're good for up to 60W. I paid $13.00 for two cables back in 2020 but they've increased the price to $18.00 since then.
On another note it's pretty stupid that Samsung uses 45W super fast charging but only includes a cable rated for 25W. They talked about getting rid of the charge brick for environmental reasons but now you have to buy a brick and a cable both of which contribute to more plastic being thrown away from the packaging.

protect the battery is really gimmick and nonsense; i always charge all my device's batteries to 100% and have no problem with it or whatsoever for years
what truly harmful to battery is low battery where u keep getting it to 20% and below or always charge it when it hit the low battery notification
to really protect the battery or have longer lifespan, always start charging at around 20+% or 30+%

Love your videos. I have a note 8 that's has been charged to 100% since purchase. Still runs fine for over 2 days. You can easily override the protect battery, so it cuts off at 90 or any number you want. charging to 100% does not harm the battery, it's leaving it plugged in after that point. The trickle charge creates heat which does harm it. I have mine set to cut off at 95%

Seems slow, my s20 ultra charges from 1% to 100% in about 60 mins on 25w, and 1% to 100% on 45w charger in 56 mins. Charging speed has gotten quicker over time. Will wait until Samsung bring out 65w plus. Really need 100w, which they tested many years ago.

When I had the S21 Ultra, I purchased the 2.0 fast charger using the thin cable that came with the phone, and the phone charged a continuous 2% per minute, right up top the 85% mark.
My S23 Utra also charged the same, at 2% per minute.
But just recently, I used the original cord that came with the charger, now it shows 2.0 when charging, but it's still 2% per minute up to 85%.
No difference in the time or %, all the same.
I will try charging to 100, just to see, if it slows down from 85%.

  • @Fergs88

To preserve the life of the battery in the S23 Ultra, it is best to charge your phone twice a day - morning and evening. The best rule of thumb is the 40%-80%. Charge under 40; stop charging over 80. NEVER charge while you're sleeping. The battery life will diminish greatly if left to keep charging anytime after 100% has been reached.

When he plugged the second cable in, then he had super fast charging, as the charging light changed to blue ". The colours indicate the charging speeds.

Sorry to say it, but Samsung still sucks at charging speeds! I have an S23 Ultra and it amazed me with the slower speed rates by comparison with other brands like OnePlus, Oppo or Xiaomi, wich by the way it fully charges in less than 30 minutes from 10 to 100%. So yeah Samsung sucks at charging their phones.
