I am glad you did the trail trip! I was born and raised in Seoul and even I literally lived at just next to the wall but I never knew there is the trail. I was just playing with other boys climbing up and down to the walls when I was a little child. Thank you for your video. it was reminiscent of my childhood.

I know this video is mostly about the hike, but I’m impressed by how well you are pronouncing the Korean words without knowing the language. When you said “sukjeongmun gate” I was able to google it hangeul (korean characters) and came up with the right result.

At the top of Inwang Mountain, there are two photo zones where you can see the Gangbuk(north of the Han River) area of Seoul.
Unfortunately, the view of Seoul cannot be seen due to the foggy weather.
If you climb Mt. Inwang at night, you can take a wonderful night view of Seoul.
I am enjoying your visit to Seoul videos.
I hope you enjoy Seoul and Korea.

Lovely videos, Tia and Cheveyo! You guys are probably the first youtubers to show this trail, I think! I'd highly recommend cycling along the east coast of Korea as well - the east coast shoreline is very nice, and the beaches are so pristine as well. Gangwon Province (which is a northeast province in Korea) has sheep, windmills and a nice surfing culture, and it's so underrated. Looking forward to seeing more traveling videos! You've earned a new subscriber :)

      @OnePackWanderers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

We much prefer seeing a country as you describe it, so thank you SO much for the Gangwon Province recommendation. That seems like something we'd love to do.

    • @bethanykim3076

@@OnePackWanderers :D I'd highly recommend checking out the Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm, Alpaca World, and as for cities, either Sokcho or Jeongdongjin (both cities have fantastic shorelines, and the air is cleaner than in Seoul). Yangyang also has a surfing culture with more friendly english signage (another city in Gangwon province). The KTX (Korea's bullet train) probably takes you to many of these places from Seoul. There are also the Pyeongchang Winer Olympic sites (like the ski resort and etc) in Gangwon, as well! (South Korea hosted the Winter Olympics in 2018). I will continue to support your travels!!

Hanyang(Seoul)doseong was doundary of Hanseongbu, the capital
of the Joseon Dynasty, as the city wall built to protect the capital city.
Built in 14th century, the wall experienced massive repairs and mends
in the 15th, 18th, end 19th centuries. Especially in the early 15th century,
the earthen wall was replaced by a stone wall end the entire
18,6-kilometer section became a stone wall. The stone blocks of
Hanyang(Seoul)doseong remaining at the foot of Namsan Mduntain
today show dynamic diversity in size and form.
This demonstrates how Hanyang(Seoul)doseong continued to be
managed with various construction techniques of the Joseon Dynasty

7:09" The inside of the line is the real Seoul 630 years ago. Until just 40 years ago, Seoul absorbed the surrounding areas into Seoul, giving it its present shape and size.
It's amazing to see that you can do it well without English instructions. It is not an easy map even for Koreans. I look forward to the next update.
