    That showerhead is a handheld one if I am not mistaken so you can just pull it off the mount and rinse yourself off. I have one in my shower. I don't think you need to bend over and squat to use it (I am chuckling at visual of it in my head). :)

      We also get the feeling of missing out when we travel to places. I think it is an unavoidable part of travel. To really know a place one would need years. But it is also a wondrous feeling, stepping off the train in a completely unknown city.

    Another wonderful video, Tia and Cheveyo! If you guys are still in Korea, I hope that you'll try some cheap Korean buffets where you can try many different local dishes all at once! I'd recommend Han jeongsik generally for a really authentic dining experience (where they bring out 20-30 side dishes all cooked with various ingredients), but since you are traveling on a budget, it might be worthwhile to look into some driver's restaurants that also serve buffet foods! While being cheap, the foods are often of similar quality. Hope you've been having a wonderful experience traveling through Korea and can't wait to see where your travels take you guys next.

    When we translate Korean letter into English Aphabet, 'ㄱ' is 'g' like 'g' of girl and 'ㅈ' is 'j' like 'j' of joy. Therefore the name of the place is not yonki but gyeong-gi-jeon(경기전).

    This may sound like an odd question, but I saw you using chopsticks and recalled Tia saying you travelled with a pair, what brand are they? I have a set of Snow Peak Wabuki chopsticks that I love, but having another travel set would be nice.

      We just have a plain old all-metal pair. Just looked up the set you have, and they look very nice! Jealous haha

      Currently we use an iPhone 13 Pro for almost all the shots. For some time-lapse shots we use the DJI Action 2. Hope this helps!

    The reason the door is low means that you must bow your head to enter. Bowing your head indicates humility.

    How do you keep your tee shirts ironed in a back pack

    • @OnePackWanderers
      @OnePackWanderers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah I wish we could keep them ironed 😅 But our strategy is just to fold them as quickly as possible after they get out of the dryer (if we can find a dryer).

      How do I get a T card for travel on buses and trains plus
      Can I use my uk iPhone and SIM card from England

    • @OnePackWanderers
      @OnePackWanderers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      At every train/metro/bus station they have little machines where you can purchase/recharge a T Money card using cash (Korean Won). The currency exchange booth at Seoul airport offers pretty fair rates to get cash.
      You can use your UK iPhone but you will need a Korean SIM card, which you can purchase in the airport for a fixed rate depending on how many days you need it for (it’s $60 for 30 days for example).

    That portrait is one of a few remaining out of Chosun dynastys king portraits. Most of them were burn in Korean war in 1950(?) when we run away to Busan. Happy to see that through your youtube. 🙂 Hope to have happy memories in Korea!

    Really love your posts - been following since you arrived in Thailand. A question (which you don’t need to answer) - Are you planning on going to Japan if it opens up for individuals as opposed to tour groups? Waiting it out in Korea?

    The low gate makes you put your head down when you enter. And you show some respect to the owner of the house in that way.
    Those houses were for the people of higher class of society in ancient Korea.
    If you visit palaces, you can find much lower gates.
    Hope you guys enjoy Korea a lot
