I miss For Today so much in times of darkness their lyrics were really used by God to speak to me

For Today is THE music I ALWAYS come back to when it comes to being focused on WHAT MATTERS in the gym. 💪 🙏 God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good.

I think Mattie has reached many young people through his music that may not have ever been reached otherwise. God bless him for bringing the word to the young people that may not of ever been to church or even heard the true word. If even just one soul is saved it’s worth it, but I’m sure he has brought many to know Jesus! Great job!!!

I discovered For Today with my high school metalcore band years ago. A million things happened; I lost what little faith I had and spent years in utter darkness. It wasn’t until very recently that I was suddenly moved by The Spirit in a way I had never felt before, which I credit to the fervent prayer from friends and family. Coming back to this band really made me acknowledge how important their impact was. In a scene comprised of overtly satanic/antichrist bands, they preached hope louder than anyone, and that is NOT lost today! So glad to see Mattie Montgomery’s preaching journey. His sermons are very powerful, and it does my heart good to know that the band’s preaching was sincere. “Breaker” still swings harder than most anti-Christian metal/hardcore out there. ✊🏼

wow we should exchange contact information like email or something what you just wrote is what I'm currently going through after 20 years of spiritual warfare basically. It's funny I saw this band in 2010 in Fort Collins Colorado I remember flipping them off there's even a video of my hands that go up and you can see my wristbands in my middle fingers and he just kind of chuckled about it I secretly listened to them to avoid being judged by my peers and they made me tear up a lot because I knew I've just been running from God and now I'm 31 years old and done running i listened to one for today song and it made me cry my eyes out and made me realize what's going on. I definitely have felt that movement too It's crazy for today hasn't been around in forever and they're still changing people's lives.

It is kind of funny though before I found God again I was already getting irritated with people who are constantly like screw God and all this stuff they seem to talk significantly more about religion than the people in religion lol It's like you could see past their bs Well we can because we've been in that spot If you put that much time and energy into not liking something there's a reason typically i would know its me lol

I think for today saved more people than any other ministry in the last decade, period.

I had the pleasure of getting to see Mattie and For Today play several times (4 or 5 I think) and he’s one of the most down to earth people I’ve ever met.

Wish people would leave u alone about all of it though.
Like this, u wouldnt have to go around it all of the time.....until YOU make a DECISION to do so
... and i wouldnt have to feel like Truth HAS to be told everytime i stumble upon something like this.
U know it Mattie... its a Greater purpose than just the two of us
    Be blessed
    🙏💪
Ur preaching are awesome by the way (for the ones i heard. Keep up Mister)

That’s a statement I can get behind. I don’t want to be the reason that people think hardcore music is cool I want to be the reason people think Jesus is cool.

I believe that anything Kingdom sons and daughters use to bring people to Jesus is God's work.

In the same line of logical thought that he makes about not being able to say something isn’t allowed because the Bible never speaks on it doesn’t mean that it is either. Let’s not be hypocrites with our own argument.
But let’s play this game. The psalms are heaven worship songs. If you don’t like worshipping the way the psalms were delivered, you won’t like what’s going on in heaven and that’s a fact. And if you don’t like that form of worship then you don’t like God’s prescription for worship because the Bible is God breathed. If you don’t believe that then there’s really no reason to talk because then you don’t believe in Jesus because he is the Word.
All of that is not to say that you can’t make hardcore music spirit filled but in the end, it’s his kingdom not ours. It will all be about what pleases him not what we prefer.

So prostitution, pornography, human trafficking, can be kingdom minded? These are jobs that pile do to provide for their families.
You gotta be real careful with the words you choose because when you take the role of shepherd, you take the responsibility of what others do with what you say. That’s a biblical fact with eternal consequences.

Kanye is not a true believer and his music is not about the God of the Bible.

The best way to be a witness is to publicly proclaim and show it for them to see and belive, the word made flesh. Scattering seed to harvest as many as possible.
