So before getting back to touching one another intimately, there is some repairing in the marriage that needs to take place such as repentance and forgiveness from God and her and witnesses to the marriage and prayer of to strengthen him and her to eliminate that situation from reoccurring.

I haven’t finished this entire video yet, so maybe he addresses it later on but I would add that corporate American values are not compatible with living the life Jesus has for us. The sad reality is that most industries, even those who claim to serve such as healthcare or education, are increasingly being ran in such a way that profits are the most important goal with little consideration to stakeholders, students, patients, etc. The system itself is broken. Unless you are the CEO, you have little margin to make your own decisions about your work. This bleeds into our homes. I grew up in a family that owned a small business and see the stark differences. While there are pros and cons, Corporate America has starkly different goals than we as Jesus followers. The divide is increasing and I find myself looking for some line of work that is more in line with the rhythms of Jesus. Greed at all costs is not it. I wfh as well so it’s not being physically present that is the issue. This type of mentality will drain your soul. Even if you don’t do your work for those reasons, the company mission will exhaust you. You’re not steering the ship.

You gotta be real careful with the words you choose because when you take the role of shepherd, you take the responsibility of what others do with what you say. That’s a biblical fact with eternal consequences.

In the same line of logical thought that he makes about not being able to say something isn’t allowed because the Bible never speaks on it doesn’t mean that it is either. Let’s not be hypocrites with our own argument. But let’s play this game. The psalms are heaven worship songs. If you don’t like worshipping the way the psalms were delivered, you won’t like what’s going on in heaven and that’s a fact. And if you don’t like that form of worship then you don’t like God’s prescription for worship because the Bible is God breathed. If you don’t believe that then there’s really no reason to talk because then you don’t believe in Jesus because he is the Word. All of that is not to say that you can’t make hardcore music spirit filled but in the end, it’s his kingdom not ours. It will all be about what pleases him not what we prefer.

I think you hit upon 2 crucial things: 1) As a White youth pastor at a Haitian church in Fla, I very much understand the struggle of Blacks outside America fitting in, right away, within the Black culture. I had Caribbean Black friends in high school echo the same sentiment. I think the key term is "right away". Eventually, they did fit in well with the African-American culture as well as the White culture. Rap & Hip Hop have a lot to do with that. I imagine a White American might fit in better, RIGHT AWAY, in an African nation than an African-American for other reasons like novelty and uniqueness and social stygmas. The African-American culture, like every culture, needs to remember it's His Blood over our blood. 2) You are relating the exact reason why WOKE-ism is very relevant. You are where you are b/c of a White family that cared. What if you had not met that White family or that White family didn't take you all in; then what? You'd be struggling to break thru a White-centric culture just like my Caribbean Black friends, and the tenets of WOKE would then make better sense to you. Indeed, in many ways, your family had an easier time breaking into success and whatever than many Whites, not to mention Asians, Arabs and Hispanics.

People are burned by the Money church's. You have church's that have motivation speeches and not biblical teaching. Church needs to stop being a business and get back to becoming a place for gathering of believers. Evangelism is going out to help people see the Lord Christ. The Church is the gathering of fellow believers to worship, encourage, teach, correct and bring glory to God. People are not educated on biblical truth but rather there own understanding and liking.

My only challenge with conversations like this (not just this dynamic couple; but many others) is that the wife dominates the conversation. Yes we want to hear the wife's perspective and her strategies for restoration. But the majority of interviews I have witnessed the wife goes full throttle and in some instances talks over the husband.....just a viewpoint shared in love.
