Hello, good tutorial.
I would have had a part for power supply source which is defined by jumpers which are not inserted by default.
I agree. I din't know I needed to put in the jumpers and I got a message saying; "unable to read tmc uart 'stepper_x' register IFCNT". I have been struggling for a few days to figure out that I didn't have the jumper installed. @Ed's 3d Tech Please edit this video and mention the need to choose a power source for the stepper drivers using the jumpers.
The v2 board leaves off jumpers, I think v1 board has them
is there a way to wire and configure the software to run external stepper drivers for some closed loop nema23 motors?
Probably. But closed loop stepper might only be good in an earthquake zone.
@@EdwardBraiman its for a dead industrial 3d printer. nema23's are required for the application sadly, and since closed loops are pretty much as cheap might as well get good motors.
Really wish someone would put out some marlin tutorials...
Made on last night a place on Patreon. Should be available in a couple weeks on TH-cam.
Also currently Marlin firmware does work well on the Manta series of board yet.
