We in Texas envy your rain.. We are in a drought. I grew up in western Wisconsin. I'm curious: where was your Midwestern home? We may have a lot in common.
Hi Brook, I was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Adolescent / teen years in a blue collar suburb outside of Cleveland, university in Indiana and Ohio, adult years in the ghettos of Chicago. Thank you for asking.
Here is another book you might look for: Medicine and Surgery of South American Camelids Murray F. Fowler 2nd Edition Iowa State University Press 1989 FedEx ships internationally if you can't find these on the Internet.
I once had a good friend (better than I knew) who was from Cleveland: Joyce Bencina, Slovenian. Problem children (crias) 10-15-24 Camera kissers, Beautiful eyes, soft muzzles: Problem kids, we fear. We would kiss and pet. We are crazy about them. Will they grow up crazy? We sure hope not! BMS, ABS Are a real threat. Cuteness overload.
I got my PhD from Indiana University. I did all my research and class work in Indianapolis at the medical school, then rode the bus to Bloomington to complete my degree. Was that your alma mater too? My degree was in Biochemistry, specifically Neurochemistry. What are you?
Okay, I began my studies at Ohio Wesleyan in weather science, but I discovered punk rock and joined the college radio station. After year one, I transferred to U of Evansville in Indiana to study media / communications (but really, I spent all my time at the college radio station). I drove to Bloomington to see R.E.M. play on their first tour. I promoted a few Bloomington bands... After a few years behind the scenes and as a DJ on the radio, I realized there was little to no magic -- music was treated as a product to sell, so I left the radio world. After another couple of years of pondering about a job that suited my morals, I studied literature, poetry, creative writing, and secondary ed at Cleveland State.
