Naotoshi Shida, one of the all time greatest animators really put in his back the Marineford animation. He did the Luffy vs 3 admirals, Luffy vs Smoker and like 6-8 scenes in the arc 🐐🔝

The OST when Luffy appears in front of the three Admirals is one of my all-time favourites in One Piece. For anyone curious, it’s called “Counterattack Signal - Appearance of the Straw Hat Pirates” from the Strong World OST, that also appears when the Straw Hats bust into Golden Lion Shiki’s Palace to save Nami. Such an awesome OST.

I think it's important to clear that Luffy wasn't even looking at the admirals, he was only looking to Ace, even that he knew that he wouldn't win, he still tried to reach his brother even if it costs everything. I think his mental health at this point was really low and he was just really desesperate.
In that "gomu gomu no", you can see his mouth move exactly like a real person sating those words would. All that feeling poured into the voice acting by the dubber, goated

The metal wall that Whitebeard couldn't break was actually discovered and produced by Wapol. It's not really a spoiler since in the manga they already showed his story on the cover pages. But they do adapt it much later as a shorter segment in the future.

Current Wano arc animation is smooth af. The lighting, details, everything. It’s not as consistent as the Marineford arc animation, but it’s definitely a lot better
@@djw3512 you didnt get what i meant, It isnt about the animation quality, Its about It looking less and less like a pirate anime, and more and more like Dragon ball, with literally super sayan auras in luffy vs Kaido. I really miss what one piece fights used to look like, something more raw. The manga deliver It perfectly, the anime wants to be Dragon ball and that just saddens me a lot. You can have great Power fights without needing to make It like Goku and vegeta fighting, and marineford is right here to prove my point.

It's a bit much to show trapped pirates that are being finished off by volcano meteors, cannonballs and boiling water to the general public. It's not exactly a heroic navy victory.
