- Recently, a web series named Aspirant depicted the story of three friends who were preparing for UPSC. Therefore, we will tell you about IPS officer Akash Kulhari whose success story is no less than a reel story. Akash Kulhari is from the Bikaner district of Rajasthan and his story is very inspiring.
Additional Police Commissioner of Kanpur, Akash Kulhari is a nightmare for criminals. He was expelled from school after getting low marks, but he did not give up. With hard work and determination, he cleared the UPSC exam.
Akash Kulhari said that he was very weak in his studies during his childhood. So many times, his parents had to face problems because of his poor performance. In an interview, she said, “I was expelled from school after the 10th result came, but I did not give up.”
Akash Kulhari's early studies started at a school in Bikaner. In the year 1996, he passed 10th with only 57 per cent marks. After which, his school expelled him and didn’t give admission to him because of his less score.
After getting low marks in 10th, Akash Kulhari's father got him admitted to Kendriya Vidyalaya Bikaner after a lot of hard work. After this Akash also worked hard and secured 85 per cent marks in 12th. After this, he did B.Com from Duggal College Bikaner in 2001 and M.Com from School of Social Science from JNU, Delhi.
While studying at JNU, Akash Kulhari also started preparing for UPSC and passed the civil services examination in his first attempt, in 2006. During this, in 2005, he also did M Phil from JNU.
Akash Kulhari had told in the interview, “After graduation, I had two career options in front of me. The first was that I should do an MBA and do a job in the corporate sector and the second option was to prepare for civil services. My mother wanted my children to serve the country by becoming officers, so respecting the mother's wish, I decided to take the civil services examination. When I got success in the first attempt, the younger brother also chose this path, he is also an officer today.

My father was an IPS officer. He retired from the Director General of Police rank. In my humble opinion IPS is the toughest service that is out there.

Sir, I want to know how to the things which are not visible and to learn remove that obstacles coming while preparing we give lot of time and lot of disturbances and mostly people who know us without our knowledge sometimes do illegal ragging, am a normal middle class family girl but to prepare and all I see people some are sending animals and irritating the family and we are facing difficulty were we stay tp go out and to biy anything and mostly money thiefs also .
