    I really like polydrops and their commitment to aerodynamics and their design. The efficiency they've achieved with their trailer is amazing.
    That said, my wife and i have been on dozens of car camping trips and I'm very satisfied with using the model y as a mobile bedroom. A hitch attached cargo carrier can alleviate most of the storage issues you went over in the early parts of the video.
    So when i think about what i would want out of a trailer, if i were to add one to our setup, it's a nicer galley kitchen, a shower and a bathroom. A teardrop-sized trailer that pops up to give you a sheltered, full size bathroom with hot water shower and maybe some solar on it too would be ideal. Have yet to see anyone pursue this concept yet though

    Thanks for the detailed video on Tesla Camping. There is one issue with the comparison of power used with and without the trailer. Since you made the power consumption comparison between driving at 70mph without the trailer and 55mph with the trailer, your viewers really have no sense of the true difference. Just increasing speed from 55mph to 70mph increases the power consumption a good amount, and that does not even account for the trailer. For a fair comparison, the car should have been driven at a constant speed (ie, 55mph due to the Polydrop limit) with and without towing the trailer. The true difference would be more like 40-45% higher power usage (appx. 100Wh/mi more) with the trailer. People should also be better aware of the speed limit of the trailer, which will lengthen the driving time of many trips. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice little trailer. People just need to be aware of the disadvantages. I've driven across country in a Model Y, towing a small, covered U-Haul trailer. The weight of the U-Haul trailer full of stuff is comparable to the Polydrop's weight but not as aerodynamic. Towing that small U-Haul trailer cut the range of my friend's Model Y down to about 120 mi, which made it quite challenging at times to make it to the next charger. Using 100Wh/mi more with the Polydrop is something to seriously consider. Word to the wise, test your car's range with the Polydrop or any other trailer before taking it on a trip so that you know what you're getting into.

    Didn't know they had a shorty. Saw the All Electric version many times last last year on YT. Please do a review on your Dometic fridge, show how much actual food you carry in there. Not many reviews show real food being packed in. Almost all reviews use bottles of water, that is not helpful. Love to know your thoughts on the fridge. Thank you!

    Great trailer -- should be adapted to every single car currently made by any means necessary.

    I ditch propane when I'm camping I just use roadpro cooking appliances which are all 12 v. Elephant in the room is that there is no bathroom, I'll stick with my NuCamp 320 thanks.

    What pushed me over to camping trailers vs tents was after the 2nd day of rain and no way to dry my tent it’s not fun. If I’m backpacking ok, then there’s an upside, or if the weather is always perfect that works too. Otherwise it’s not fun. 😂

    I have a 2023 RAV4 Hybrid AWD Limited and am looking for a compatible camper trailer. I like the P19 Shorty, but, it seems to be nothing more than a $13K+ pull-behind bed, no options for sitting inside comfortably (like during a rainy day). Tent camping is much much more affordable but the trade off I suppose is the convenience of not having to set up a tent, wait for it to dry, and pack it back up. I suppose the P19 would offer better bear protection than a tent.

      Hello!
      Thanks for your comment! Comparing a camper trailer to tent camping is kind of like comparing a car to a bicycle. They both serve a similar purpose but offer completely different experiences.
      We are committed to providing an energy-efficient solution in the RV market, letting customers travel freely with less effort. That's why our P19 Shorty has significantly heavy insulation and unrivaled aerodynamics. This is something that sets us apart from just a rolling bed on wheels.
      I hope this clarifies our mission and the value of the P19 Shorty. Feel free to ask any other questions you might have!

    Any matching tent that connects to this camper?

    • @TeslaRaj
      @TeslaRaj  ปีที่แล้ว

      No but I am maybe a good suggestion to them. Like connectors to the door and is above ground by little legs. But it would affect inside unit insulation

    Propane? I expected a solar cooker 🤣
    I'll wait for the review after a week under rain

      Reality does rather thwart the wind/solar cult.

    Raj. I'm disabled bro. My house burnt down. I didn't realize when I moved in there was a previous fire. I inhaled soot. Lost the use of my arm and couldn't turn my head. Been homeless (motel hopping) 2 months. Arm started working again slowly. I've got a Prius Persona 2013. I'm in College. What campers can I tow with my Prius? I also have a 2004 Ford Taurus just sitting. I'm trying to sell it. But push comes to shove I could tow with it. (I'd rather sell it, and buy a truck n trailer). Should I just pay my car off and buy a small RV? I'm so confused man. It's so cold. I can barely use my shoulders. 2 rotator cuff surgeries. Anyways bro. Making a battle plan for me n the dog. Love n respect. Was looking at these too. Meerkat Camper

      Something like this is like buying a boat, it's for those that have money. Also like boats, they probably have decent resale value.

    Magnetic shades would be much better than the snap-on shades.

    It might be a leap to pay over $15k for this trailer vs just trading the Model Y for the Cybertruck. Sleeping in the bed of it would offer many of the same convivences, albeit without side views.

    Hey Raj, I just checked out another TH-camr that actually turned off "Trailor Mode" while driving and was able to engage "Auto Pilot". You may want to confirm if that's possible...Let me know!

    • @TeslaRaj
      @TeslaRaj  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes it is. However it could be dangerous because AP cameras will give false alerts of something being present when it’s just the trailer
