in one of my plays that have now disappeared i to thin air, a married moth that had one child cheated on her hubby and got preggo but he does know, he caught them in bed lol. he was upset, went out for drinks and hooked up with a younger small (adult) girl that happens to be their neighbor😭 she also got pregnant 😭😭😭😭 but i’m not sure who the dad is because she explores often

A thing I like to is to make saves focusing on teen subcultures. I'll divide Newcrest into different economic areas, with one part being the poorest, one middle/upper-middle, and one rich area. Then I'll have broad categories for teen types using the club system. The first time was the popular kids/jocks, the nerds, and the edgy/artsy kids. Another time I doubled the amount of kids and made six subcultures, adding the good kids, the losers, and the artistic kids, with each group being opposed to one of the others (the nerds and artistic kids didn't like each other, which made less sense than the other animosities). In the first game the edgy kids and popular kids were encouraged to be mean to each other, and both groups also were encouraged to be mischievous to the nerds. I would base the depictions of the kids on both the subculture, but also their economic status. With more kids in the second save (I had two kids in every household) I had a different combination in every household, which meant that there were three households where the kids from opposing groups would be together for more drama.

Vacation home pro-tip: You can build residential lots, then categorize them as "retail". The lot will register as incomplete if you decide not to place the retail lot requirement item (a register) but your household can purchase the "house" and visit indefinitely as though it were a vacation home. What's more, if you DO place a register you could run fantastic garage/ estate sell gameplay lol. Just a fun thought! If you don't wanna do any of that, just tuck the register away out-of-sight in an unreachable place, like the attic (roof space) or wherever. That'll get rid of that alert sign over the lot in world view if you care about icon anesthetics and such in game.

I once had a couple that got married because of their families, they didn’t really love eachother. They got a baby but then the woman felt trapped so she left the man and the baby on their own. She changed number and didn’t even left a note. She took most of the money and bought a house in sulani. The woman met a girl and got married and the man raised the kid om his own without knowing where his old wife was. The kid grew up only with his dad.
For “sleepovers” In sims I make a extra kid and lock them in a separate room with the door locked but with everything they need, then I let them out just for the “sleepover”

Finally! Someone who understands how the Sims is supposed to be played. I get kind of surprised at the amount of people who have claimed that the Sims is super repetitive and boring, claiming there's nothing to do, and while yes TS4 can be lacking, the game is only as fun as your imagination takes you. I'm currently doing a story of 4 different royal families based on each Occult (Vampire family, Mermaid family, Spellcaster family, and Human family), and it's fun letting this story play out. I've done other stories of triplet sisters who were separated at birth after their mother died, and they find out they're secretly Spellcasters destined to become the new Sages of the Magic Realm. I've done another story of a Mermaid princess who was banished from her ocean kingdom and is forced to live amongst humans. Honestly possibilities are endless, and I hope you do another part because I love your ideas also and haven't laughed this hard from a video is so long.
Piggybacking off your suggestions:
- if you want a holiday home - buy a retail lot, don’t put the cash register in and keep it as a generic build, lock the doors (the only thing you can’t really do is cook properly)
- You can actually do a speech for a funeral if you have the city living podium and place the urn next to it and there’s an option to do one
I was playing a normal family... Then the fiance of my Heritage burned and well... She is a ghost and now tries to becoa human again to start a family and keep the legacy challenge going xD
i did tried to kill the sister which is a child and get the older sister which is the adult now bake amorisia(cooking skill lvl10) and revived the younger sister lol. its a long journey

As for the holiday homes, you were able to get multiple houses in the Sims 4 and it WAS AMAZING.
Best gameplay I ever had was when I switched it up. I had a young adult vampire raising his teenage human brother. He was a guilty drinker so everyday after school the little brother would go fishing and look for frogs so the older brother could make plasma packs. The vampire brother couldn’t leave the house during the day so he supported them by writing gothic romance novels. I still add the two brothers to almost every game I play.
Watching this while starting a new save and making every human sim a vampire. Every single one.

Nahhh... My way of doing a life like that I have about 8 to 10 kids (as much as I could do). Then I just don't pay attention to the oldest and then the oldest moves out. Then everyone grows older. When each of them are about teens... I DIE. Then I play as one of them and see what happens :)

Does anyone else do a cult house? One man, you convince women to move in have children with them. Only to keep the girls and first born boy to keep the cult going? I usually make the lot off grid and the cult has to be very green and make lots of crafts to keep funding. It is horrible and I love it.

you’re awesome for this. i have so many holidays in my game and i use a height mod for the first half of the teen life stage so they can have their own preteen stage! they usually have braces/higher voices in this stage too. when they reach the midst of their teen stage, i make them look more 16-17 than 14-15 :) imagination is also key to having fun with sims gameplay

Couple of ideas: trans sims! Children visiting their parent after divorce on weekends. Giving CAS made sims random levels of random skills (eg via MCCC) to determine their interests. I also like to go to the change world mod once in a while to marry off some townies and/or make kids for them

I had two guys living together as roommates, polar opposites to each other however. One was evil and one was good and friendly. One was also a vampire and another a spellcaster. I made a big story out of it where they kept out of each others way at first to keep the peace, because the fact that neither one had the funds to live alone so this was there only choice. During that time the vampire went on a lust fest, where he was a serial romantic and had so many romantic partners, which fitted his personality perfectly because it showed he didn't care about getting caught and about other people's feelings. At some point towards the end of their first year living together the vampire dies from the sun and something compels the spellcaster to do whatever to save him. People thought he was crazy because this vampire had no good qualities worth saving, but the spellcaster didn't care, something unexplainable had him continue this quest to bring him back to life. It took him weeks and months of grueling training to find a spell that could summon the dead back to life. After that the vampire was immensely grateful and they found a new form of respect for one another. Even friendship eventually. After the vampire came back he straightened up a little bit, I guess you could say both the influence of the spellcaster and coming back from death gave him some sort of conscious. He ended with all his relationships and just stuck to one. Meanwhile spellcaster got into an engagement after having put his life on hold for the vampire, and by this time it was towards the end of the second year. At some point the vampires and spellcasters bond grew into something unusual, unexpected and unbreakable where the influence of the spellcaster came to have the vampire retain some humanity. He became a better person because of him and they eventually married coming towards the end of the third year when the spellcaster realised it wasn't his fiance that he wanted in his life, but that of the vampire. That has been my favourite household I've created so far. All about polar opposites coming to appreciate each others differences and come to fall in love after a length of time after having discovered what the unexplainable bond was.

1. Vampire sim with a spellcaster sister and an alien sister
2. Relationship with Vlad (the grand master vampire)
3. Make Vlad move in and make the spellcaster sister and Vlad hate eachother, making my sim need to choose between husbando, and sister
4. The sister and Vlad use their powers to command each other to be mean to my sim, while the alien have to grow up, with no help and watch all this drama unfold

(spellcaster is a teen, alien is a child, Vampire is adult)
recently the vampire sister gave birth, but ever since she gave birth, she hasn't cared for anyone but her husband and herself, due to her husband manipulating her and her family by using his powers so that they would go against eachother. The sisters take their nephew once he's a toddler, and runs away, (they steal like 500 dollars on they way, their sister/mum is rich.) and I go off from there

Yeah there are like violence mods, zombie apocalypse, slice of life, a lot of different mods. Just have to look around for them. See if any of your favorite YT simmers posts about any. Be careful, make sure you get it directly from the creator though and not a middle man website.

My current household is a gay couple with an adoptive daughter...one of the dads is jealous. The other is bisexual and knocked up their roommate in the shower while they were at University.
Since I chose their personalities and aspirations at random they're very different people. One has the chef aspiration and is active (the jealous one), the other one is lazy, flirty and wants to hook up with lots of people. So one ended up slim and muscular, the other one ended up fat and with an affair kid.
Now the affair kid is living with the couple, but the jealous one simply doesn't have a relationship with the son, but is besties with the adopted daughter and teaches her cooking, gourmet cooking and piano (don't ask why this combination came about). The other one is a sahm dad who tries to have good relationships with both children - but the adopted daughter is being hostile since her brother is an affair child, so she keeps aggravating her flirty dad - as well as her brother's mom whenever she comes by.
I like to send the flirty one to beaches and karaoke bars and such and then see what he'll do. So he has several flirty relationships - and might get another affair kid eventually.
The jealous guy with the cooking aspiration got a golden uni degree and is working while the other one quit uni and started working to raise his kid. The mother of the kid was an evil and lazy sim so I figured dumping her child on the baby dad out of selfishness was appropriate.
So there I got a perfectly troubled family.
The jealous sim's vegan sister who wishes for a big family meanwhile married a perfectly nice guy, became a housewife, had 4 children...and then her husband managed to burn himself to death trying to cook. Now she somehow has to raise 4 children, 2 of them toddlers, living in a tiny flat. The teenage son is working part time but has no time to build skills, the child has a horrible relationship with the toddler twins and the toddlers frequently make messes and annoy the others in the house.
It's the most fun I've had in a while playing those 2 families.

I love these ideas! If anyone is hesitant about doing something different, keep in mind it doesn't have to be permanent. If you don't like how a new path is going, revert back to the old path. Or create a new save file for the new lifestyle changes. You can always go back to the old save if that's more comfortable. Thanks for all the great ideas!

I once made a single mother with no money and then went to make her a gold digger and black widow: I tracked down the wealthiest men in town, married them ( and their delicious piles of money) one by one and then locked them in a room til they starved to death ... rinse and repeat.
I was doing that challenge where you start out with zero funds and are supposed to end up with 1.000.000 Simolions. It was fun for a little while but got boring rather quick though ... and honestly, she was so cold that I started disliking her and gave the whole thing up after a few days lol :P No matter the game I always end up giving up on evil gameplay because I get detatched from the characters and lose interest.
You could always go the complete the serial romantic aspiration, which requires you to hook up with lots of people, and then kidnap all your hook ups and keep them in your basement as your own woohoo slaves. (Did I did this? Yes. Did I planed it? No. Did I deleted the save when one of my prisoners escaped? Yes.)

Second my Sims family will be prefect wealthy nice house, then all of a sudden daddy gets Auntie pregnant ,the daughters gone goth, Mom moves out with most of the money to the city, they take in their half brother/cousin, and the goth daughter gets a goth girl friend.
btw this was in one day and with just one household.

In my main game, I had a married couple that was pretty cute, but Ruby failed her first day of job. So she simply decided to, you know... leave her wife and go live in a different town, change her look, style and even name, and also change job. Oh and she also divorced her wife. And soon she will have a child- I find that a BIT chaotic and I love it.

Btw I wrote the last one down in my Sims 4 ideas note, but I added a little bit of something, I wanna on a scale if 1 to 10 how much I added. So yeah, she hooks up with her friends dad and she gets pregnant, yeah whatever, but she comes back to another sleepover hoping to use protection this time, she hooks up with ANOTHER family member and...the same thing happens.
