I first started doing the store idea a few years back, with a collector sim who raised all the plants that were in the game, except alien, up to Perfect in his garden. He made herbal remedies, and with icemunmun's Canning Station mod, he made jams, sauces & preserves that he sold in his little country store, along with hand crafted items from the woodworking table. This was before you could just buy seed packets and harvestables. You had to actually collect the plants (which, BY THE WAY EA, MAKES IT MORE FUN! Yeesh.) so it took me a long time to find all the harvestables (well all the ones in the game up to that point anyway. More have come in since.). And then bringing his skills up enough to make his products worth a lot of simoleans. I played him for months of real time and was never bored with it. That's what's lacking in Sims 4 really. It's too easy to make money, it's all just handed to you on a platter. We have to make challenges for ourselves to make the game more interesting. Sims 2 & 3 were tough! That's what made them satisfying to play. I wish the current Sims team understood that. If they're the same ones in charge of Sims 5, I don't hold out a lot of hope. :P
I remember I was CONSTANTLY broke in the Sims 1 and 2 - and it was so fun! Unfortunately, the Sims Team is trying to make the game more accessible to new players. So, my hopes aren't too high for The Sims 5 either.
@@elizabethpapadimitriou No, you have to have Get To Work to have a retail store in the game. But Get To Work is totally worth having. The three careers that come with it are fun to play. I loved playing a scientist, especially. And it brings aliens into the game as well as the retail stores. City Living came with a street sales table, and so did Jungle Adventures. So you can sell items if you have the table. But owning and running a retail store has been my favorite thing I've done in my game, so I recommend Get To Work. :)
They just need options. For example, if you don’t like burglars...no problem, disable them in game options. Just give us easy, medium and hard instead of just noob settings.
I don’t understand how Joe and Jenny are half siblings - step siblings completely - but they don’t share a parent so they’re not half siblings. However I love this idea!!
My recommendation is to make a story around it. For example (this example will only work if you have Dine Out and Vampires): A vampire must live a double-life, vampire training and such at night, and running a restaurant in the day time. While doing this he is trying to not let people know he is a vampire by disguising himself well and making clever excuses to not do certain things (like go out to a park in the daytime). But as time goes on it gets more difficult to do so. This stress affects his performance managing his restaurant which makes him have to have a decision: Keep hiding it or tell people about it?. This scenario does take some serious roleplaying but that's one of the best things about The Sims
Yeah, but it's still pretty boring when you're the one completely controling the story. It's too easy to have a perfect life, and if you don't want them to live it then you have to make them less succesful on purpose which is again - boring. Sims 4 is a total flop
I have a secret vampire whose main career is being a musician, and a Spellcaster (witch) who is the vamp's sister and is a writer by day. Trust me, that sort of situation is FUN to play
It's important to know not every one of us could buy the pack when they were released, get instantly bored and then jump to sims 3. Some of us are still playing sims 4 and this video is relevant.
Sometimes I put like 20/25 sims locked in one house with extreme violence autonomy activated for them all. Then I just watch who is the one that will outbeat them all and win the competition. I actually write down who dies first, second ... and by whom they are killed. So in the end, I see sims that killed like 5 and sometimes the winner that only killed the 2nd place.
@@jesussaves5692 we’re talking about EA, the greediest company on earth, stop giving them money and they might just make a full pack, and not a half baked one.

Currently I’m playing a rich black family, the storyline is that a beautiful women fell in love with a vampire, but their families do not approve of them. So they ran away to Del Sol Valley, and they become CEOs of a big company, eventually they moved and had a child who happens to be half human, vampire, and are planning another. The twist is that they keeps slaves (😏) for the vampires of the family in a basement under their house, and nobody knows about it, which is why it’s a big secret.
Download mods, even simple ones. I got a mod where children can do laundry using the washtub and they can use the garden and cook it’s for like historical gameplay but it’s also fun for modern gameplay when you want to have a farm that grows bell peppers using child labor while the one adult in the household drinks “juice” all day and yells at the children when they don’t want to work. I also have Mc command center and with mc command center you can make it so kids don’t have to go to school but they can still go if you choose so the kids aren’t getting any education and they have to farm all day :)

So I found this video after watching FGG's more recent videos and her normal voice threw me off, haha! I thought it was a different person entirely! Love both aspects of FGG.
I've never gotten bored of The Sims 4, even before I added mods to the game. Creating drama and sims with specific objectives is what I do and I find watching daytime family shows like Jeremy Kyle (UK) or Jerry Springer (US) has helped come up with ideas for drama in the past. I always say to players, if you're bored you haven't likely found everything there is to offer. I have 3/4 of the packs and still haven't unlocked all collectables, caught all fish, unlocked all recipes, maxed every skill, reached the top of all career branches or made it beyond 4th generation.
I love making weird families. I had a husband and wife who had this weird ass house and kept having children and it was honestly so much fun, especially on short lifespan.
another idea if you’re bored: grilled cheese there’s a full grilled cheese aspiration (I’m not even joking, look it up if you don’t know about it already)
You can also try to complete all collections or even better: complete the aspirations of ALL premade sims Little edit: complete the collections can be a pain, because (at least in my save) there's items that doesn't appear! I spent in-game weeks to find a common snow globe to complete this collection!
Me during the video: Oh that's great ideas there! It makes me want to play the sims again! Me at the end of the video: start my 5th playthrough of the last of us 2
I made a house full of young adults that were all in STEM careers, they each had to be a certain level in the career by the end of the year or they got kicked out… this was especially fun because I had get to work so I had a scientist and doctor which was fun to toggle between the two in one house house. It was almost like a competition between the sims and they had to fight for their spot in the “genius house”
here’s a fun thing: move everyone out of your world (except for your starter sim because that will corrupt the file) and bulldoze all the lots from at least one location, then start the game from scratch
Oh, the store idea is good. I tried it before watching this, and it really does add to crafting. only downside is that once you actually fill up the store shelves? You don't really need to craft anymore since you can just restock the item. I was stupid and put way too many items in there, though. If my poor Sim isn't restocking, she's working checkout. The Spellcaster with her own witchy store is awesome, though, might steal that.
FGG has come a long way! We get new ideas from her all the time. It would still be fun to see an updated video dedicated for these kinds of play ideas again. :D
I have a couple sims that live off of busking and gardening, so it's great to hear more ideas in that aspect. In my latest family, the girl skipped school and busked at the club in brindleton bay or whatever it's called every day to get money to eat. It's boring starting with enough money to make living easy so I overindulged on the house on purpose so I'd have a reason to work :P And now her garden is so successful the family is naturally rich again with nannies and maids lmao I might get the packs you mentioned just for the shopping aspects, rn all I have is the pet packs and nifty knitting and I've been trying to decide which ones to get next
My favorite is the make the most disfunctional families I can. Mom and dad, five kids, dad dies, mom sad, older sister has to take care of kids, continue. Or another one: single mom, two kids, mom dies, kids go to live with mean aunt, run away. You see where I’m getting? It’s sooo fun
i used to play a challenge made for sims 3 where instead of kidnapping the town, you are a teen who has been kidnapped and needs to find a way to break out of her holding cell and to make money and finally escape you don't even need to play this as a kidnapping, you can play it as a sim with super abusive and neglectful parents too
Solution: Get mods, because EA could never! Seriously though, for the game show one, get the extreme violence mod, turn on autonomous killing, and make it so the last person alive in the household wins the money 😈
I think it’s like 1K in USD even with the base game being free. Base game was only 50USD, so it wouldn’t put a massive dent in the amount all the DLC cost.
Coming from 2021, I did not realize that her voice was so beautiful back in 2020. And that is a compliment by the way. I also love her new funny voice.
I'm currently working on filling up every lot with my own sims and businesses. 90% of the households are LGBT and the desert place has a bunch of homophobic Karens. I have a lot of resturants, Libraries, and even family-owned pet clinics! Can anyone tell me how to use the University pack better? I just don't get it.
I recently built an apartment complex which had 5 different families - a student living in a studio, a couple with one kid living as artists, a new mom with aspirations to be journalist, a sexy bachelor, and a happy looking depressed landlord's son who inherited the building. Managing all 5 families in one lot was exhausting and exhilarating.
1 1/2: Give your sim multiple boyfriend's/girlfriends without letting the other sims you are dating know you are dating other sims lol. That'll give you a challenge.
I made my wife in Sims 4 and found her a nice girlfriend but then they died of old age before they could have kids... When they where gone I was just left with an empty house and sadness I deleted the game off my PS4 and never played it again. Maybe I'm just a simmp.

You can also try to complete all collections or even better: complete the aspirations of ALL premade sims
Little edit: complete the collections can be a pain, because (at least in my save) there's items that doesn't appear! I spent in-game weeks to find a common snow globe to complete this collection!
My sims generation gameplay is literally my family of crackheads. They keep me happy, when my computer isn’t lagging due to the CC I’ve added...
Me during the video: Oh that's great ideas there! It makes me want to play the sims again!
Me at the end of the video: start my 5th playthrough of the last of us 2
wow it's so strange that you used to speak so calmly and now you just show your chaotic self :DD
I finally forgot about Part 2. THANKS FOR REMINDING ME ABOUT JOEL. *cries angry tears*
Me: **causing a mass killing by having everyone swim until they die**
Also me: *i'm bored*
I got recommended this video and I bought the sims yesterday I’m definitely not bored of it yet
DONT REMIND ME OF THAT SCENE IN THE LAST OF US PART 2 (I finished it already so it makes it less sad BUT STILL)
I made a house full of young adults that were all in STEM careers, they each had to be a certain level in the career by the end of the year or they got kicked out… this was especially fun because I had get to work so I had a scientist and doctor which was fun to toggle between the two in one house house. It was almost like a competition between the sims and they had to fight for their spot in the “genius house”
The Sims 2 is still my favorite. I felt like it had so much substance
I LOVE running retail in sims. I open a new retail with every pack (if possible). Right now i'm running a fruits and flower shop, I grew them.
Yep, the family tree is what I’m always after. Genealogy is my gameplay 😎 👌🏻
Sometimes what you do is chaotic and I love it, but number 2 genuinely seems very cute !!
0:15 L E N N Y ? I S T H A T Y O U ?
LENNY MY BOAH!
here’s a fun thing: move everyone out of your world (except for your starter sim because that will corrupt the file) and bulldoze all the lots from at least one location, then start the game from scratch
1:22 that is extremely complicated. I had to look at it several times to understand😂😂😂😂😂😂
Katie walking in on her husband cheating on her with he daughter-in-law: *_L a r v a_*
That first one was something I did out of curiosity once the family tree was added, I can vouch for it’s fun aspect.
Why do I always stumble across a dramatic SIM video 😂 great vid though
FGG has come a long way! We get new ideas from her all the time. It would still be fun to see an updated video dedicated for these kinds of play ideas again. :D
THAT ENDING I WAS NOT READY
Update: There is now 80 packs worh around 1.2k to 1.6k depending on where you look
She was so calm.... is that really you?
I know Sarah sounded so fake like legit her voice was so different
I have a couple sims that live off of busking and gardening, so it's great to hear more ideas in that aspect. In my latest family, the girl skipped school and busked at the club in brindleton bay or whatever it's called every day to get money to eat. It's boring starting with enough money to make living easy so I overindulged on the house on purpose so I'd have a reason to work :P
And now her garden is so successful the family is naturally rich again with nannies and maids lmao
I might get the packs you mentioned just for the shopping aspects, rn all I have is the pet packs and nifty knitting and I've been trying to decide which ones to get next
I would watch so many episodes of a sims game show
That first family had my head spinning. Had to watch it a few times and it's still confusing lol
I love making a Backstory for my sim families
That idea with the shop is literally so fucken good. Thank you for that
that first one was crazy😭
My favorite is the make the most disfunctional families I can. Mom and dad, five kids, dad dies, mom sad, older sister has to take care of kids, continue. Or another one: single mom, two kids, mom dies, kids go to live with mean aunt, run away. You see where I’m getting? It’s sooo fun
Lol this is a great video! New sub here ♥️
i used to play a challenge made for sims 3 where instead of kidnapping the town, you are a teen who has been kidnapped and needs to find a way to break out of her holding cell and to make money and finally escape
you don't even need to play this as a kidnapping, you can play it as a sim with super abusive and neglectful parents too
That family tree was just as confusing as the Joestars’-
the joestars arent confusing though
Amazing!! I’m gonna make the most drama, plastic, complicated and messy family!! It’s gonna be chaotic with my mods.
Solution: Get mods, because EA could never!
Seriously though, for the game show one, get the extreme violence mod, turn on autonomous killing, and make it so the last person alive in the household wins the money 😈
When you turn your sims game in Crusader Kings! XD That family tree is too complicated for me ^^
Why did you have to hurt me with that last clip?! I havent even gotten platinum yet because im still too sad to do another playthrough
I am in LOVE with the fact that you used the music from The Sims 2 Pets❤️❤️❤️
Why’d you make me watch that scene again. :( I’d almost forgotten about it.
HELP- THE ENDING WHEN JOEL GETS SHOT LMFAOOOOOOOO
Wait why does Fake Gamer Girl have a normal voice here???
She's a man don't fall for the trap 😂
Discovered your channel yesterday and i haven't stopped watch since
You are amazing❤️
**Me only having the dogs and cat pack**
came for The Sims 4 but subbed because of the Last of Us Part 2 reference! loved that game. thanks for the ideas, they were awesome!
What to do when you get bored with The Sims 4:
1. Buy The Sims 3.
Seriously. You won't be bored with this baby.
I only play one family and there's always a bunch of cousins and stuff. It's a lot of fun. I can throw a party and it's just family that comes over
Before it went free it was over £600 for everything in game not sure what it is now
I think it’s like 1K in USD even with the base game being free. Base game was only 50USD, so it wouldn’t put a massive dent in the amount all the DLC cost.
I have another idea:
Make a survival show (like squid game) in the Sims 4 when ur bored
Fun things to do in sims 4 on playstation : unlock trophies.
1:10
Wait what
This is good and deserves so much more recognition
“When you’re bored of it”
You mean the whole time you play it?
1 1/2: Give your sim multiple boyfriend's/girlfriends without letting the other sims you are dating know you are dating other sims lol.
That'll give you a challenge.
1:28 almost made my brain shut down completley
I made my wife in Sims 4 and found her a nice girlfriend but then they died of old age before they could have kids... When they where gone I was just left with an empty house and sadness I deleted the game off my PS4 and never played it again. Maybe I'm just a simmp.
You've got so many creative ideas for TS4, I wish I did. I gave Nancy Landgraab 6 children, all by different fathers...I'm sure Geoffrey was like "Where the fuck do all of these children keep coming from, and why do they never look like me?"
I havent played the sims in like 3 months it’s so borringggg
Ikr I just got sims 3 and I’m addicted to it
