My ex broke up with me three weeks ago and today I went No Contact after she told me she has met a new guy online and they were going to meet. I told her I could not do that as I still had feelings for her and not to call me unless she changed her mine. She protested but I held my ground. I have always answered her calls in the two years we have known each other not missing one call in that entire time. Therefore, I felt as if she did not believe me when I said goodbye. I was correct as she called me at bedtime. I did not answer the phone and it was possibly one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my life. My hands were shaking and my chest felt like it had the weight of 1000 pounds upon it. Coach says they have to feel the emotion of missing us. I cannot be the backup plan for my ex and I cannot allow someone to think it is okay for my feelings to be disregarded. And yet with that said, it scares the hell out of me she is gone.
@@andrasziegenham6766 Hello. As Coach Craig has said many times we may begin to see the relationship differently once we enter into No Contact. My ex was gone just long enough for me learn to not accept certain behaviors from her. I was no longer interested in her as much as I was interested in myself and my personal growth. I reached the point was she was no longer worthy of me. She has tried to reach out numerous times but I have fully moved on.
In my case I don’t expect my ex to reach out to me, he told me when he’s done with a relationship, he’s done. These videos help remind me to keep strong and not reach out. I’m just trying to heal, move on and keep my self value and dignity in tact. 🙂

I know that there was alot to learn in relationships. I knew none of this stuff, until she left. Been in no contact for a month and a half. I have excepted that she is gone for good, and I am focused on personal growth and dating new people! If she reaches out one day maybe I will be available maybe I wont be. I know that holding out for her is a waste of my time. On ward and upward!
2 weeks out I was still an emotional wreck and physically sick... I'm now 5 weeks out and it still sucks but it's clearly getting better... there are still days that I'm not sure I will make it through but those days are less and slightly less physically painful. Sick to it and each day will get a little bit better. My relationship was 5 years and abruptly ended... seemingly out of now where... the first step is always the most difficult but keep going.

Breakup/no contact have been more than 2 months. It’s still hard to get over this breakup and to live without him. This is the worst pain ever. I’m dying inside. I feel hopeless now. I’ve been working on self improvement but some days I don’t have energy to move on and push myself. I really hope he reaches out to me soon 🙏

Everyday I wished to die instead of waking up every morning and dealing with the pain and missing the person who I couldn’t be together anymore. For my situation, there has been no contact from the person. But everyone’s situation is different. When people told me, time will heal all wounds. I didn’t believe it. But time helps.. just be honest I’m still thinking of the person (and having a dream of the person and their family very frequently). But I keep trying to live my life instead of living in the shadow of the person and in the past. I know no words helped me to reduce pain and to make me feel better though. Stay strong!
It’s been three weeks and no contact. I try to keep myself occupied with work and hobbies. I go to the gym two hours every day. Yet I’m still being consumed by the break up. This totally sucks

No contact is not about the ex, is about you helping yourself out of the whole. While you're at that and put them on the side, then they miss you (if they loved you at all).
Thank you. My Christmas was ruined as he told me a few days before that he met someone else after I broke 2 months of no contact. I felt like I was going to physically throw up by the fact that he tried to casually replace me with a random person instead of working things out which made me feel completely worthless. I think it might be over now because of a few things he'd said later on in the very sparse communication we've had. I told him I guess he's still looking for greener grass then said that the grass isn't greener on the other side it's greener where you water it...Possibly a little passive aggressive I know but it's true in my case as he was generally quite avoidant which makes the whole him looking for someone else thing even more baffling as he already had something pretty good at home he just didn't want to look after it. He'll probably have to treat a few others the way he treated me for him to realise that behaviour is not gonna fly with anyone with a brain and self respect!

There are many reasons as to why he contact you. Idk your relationship but in general: 1. The girl he dump you for didn't work out (if he was in a relationship after the break up) 2. He wanted sex from you (if you both ever had a intimid love and that he realize he couldn't get that). 3. He is confused (with life, job, family, etc.) 4. He could be a narcs that just Hoover. 5. Maybe he does want to work it out but since you pull away, he may have think you don't love him anymore like you used to so he may have try to just be friends.

But it's best you reply back in a relax way if you get what I mean. This is all my opinion, take it as a consideration but not literal. I'm not expert like coach but I'm going through a break up too and haven't heard from my ex gf for 3 months. Since he initiated the contact first, there is a good chance that maybe he does love you and Still text you even if you push him away. Idk your relationship but I am assuming he isn't mean, abusive, nor bad person. If possible, you could try to meet up and see how things go from there. But don't take my advice, just keep it in mind as a side thoughts.
I was in a relationship for 18 months where we lived together. I was her main financial supporter and as I am a little older and knowledgable I worked with her academically whereby she gain a 1 year scholarship to study overseas. We were very much in love in our 18 months and agreed to marry when she returned. In the first two months everything was ok, but conversation was becoming flat. So I went over and stayed with her for two weeks and everything was how it was - beautiful. However, middle of the visit we had a bad argument, but we sat down and discuss it and worked it through. Well at least I thought we had. The rest of the trip was still perfect and there was a lot of romance. When it came time to leave we discuss marriage and we were both excited. I left. Two weeks has passed and her interest was gone. No interested in talking communicating anything. And said our argument was too much. I new something was very strange from how she went so cold so quickly. I asked her if there was someone else, she replied no. I new she was lying so I took a week off work jumped on a plane and flew 16 hrs to confront her. We ended up sleeping together for 3 days in a hotel but something was different and someone kept calling her phone. I did the worst and checked her phone to discover that she had started a full blown relationship with someone else.- sharing photos blowing kisses, pages and pages of sweet messages. `But here on the other-hand she is laying with me like we are still lovers. I confront her and she admitted to it and said that we are over. Just like that that she likes this new guy. I left immediately, and she just vanished off the planet with no explanation. Its been two months and I am still absolutely devastated, I said we were going to get married in several months and I love you. We text for the first time in two months. I could fell the guilt of her texts. I stupidly told her I still love her with everything. She told me to stop as its hurting her. She said she thinks of me and I have come to her dreams almost every-night in the past two weeks (not sure if god or bad) but she said if I really love her, please forgive her and move on with your life. Please move on and be happy.

I spent some time with my ex last week (our second meetup) it was so much fun. We went to have lunch...went to the beach...and hooked up...no sex...but a very good time. He said he enjoyed every minute of our hangout. I also heard from his mother (his grandmother passed away and I sent flowers to the family) she thanked me for the flowers and told me he mentioned our hangout and she was happy to hear about it. Is that a good sign? Telling his mom we saw each other? It feels like a good sign. Hope I can send a true success story eventually. ♥️

Craig have you ever had an avoidant dismissive that keeps returning ..and then leaving at the same time every year? We have been on again off again for 5 years. He is divorced in his 40's.
You have to consider your emotional health if that’s going to work out on the long run like the coach has said before 90% of relationships will fail sadly. I was also in a on and off relationship with an avoidant and I was being delusional and distorting reality that it would workout but now I’ve realized how toxic we were to each other and it was just not going to workout anymore.
My 6 year old son is so attached to me and sad with wife leaving me.i am so furious at her and can’t stop unleashing my feeling about it to her! I'm in the beginning of a relationship, and I will not be able to call her for a few days after an Amazing time with her (yes sex as well as hours of talking on the couch watching videos discussing favorite books, dreams, and on and on 10 hours straight we lost track of time) on August 8-9th. Me and my ex dated for 4 years. We have now been broken up for a month. I hear from her friends and family that she does want to get back together with me and she misses me. When we broke up it was because of space, we haven’t texted in a week but we Snapchat eachother just because she would like to keep the Snapchat streak. It’s at a very high number. This is essentially how she “ reaches out to me” everyday. Should I go no contact and break the streak and ignore her snapchats? Carry on with nc till it's something substantial and tell her you're not interested in being friends as you love her she can contact you if she changes her mind. Hi guys. Does no contact have an impact if I initiated it? My ex rejected me 2 months ago for someone else. She was desperate to remain best friends and keep talking, but I said no as it’s too painful, and 2 weeks ago went to NC. I’m really struggling and lost without her, we were best friends for 5 years before being together.
Went NC for a few days. I was weak and reached out. Apparently she was wanting to reach out to me and was happy I reached out to her. She has a hard time expressing her feelings. We spent time together kissed and parted ways because I needed to go home to prepare for the next day. I have gone NC since Monday (now friday) because she didnt give any sign of getting back together. Seems shes unsure of the breakup but she cant figure out what's wrong. She really misses you, but dont freak out! She is just trying to gain your attention or maybe she just wants to see if you stalk her. In your experience, will an avoidant who pulled away reach back out or are they the exception? I respected his choice and have not contacted him. It's been almost 2 months. We never had a fight or bad word. He originally shared Lots of deep emotion and love, then pulled away. I now know I'm an anxious and have decided to work on myself.
Certified Relationship Coach I know exactly where you are at! My avoidant and I were together a total of twelve years, once for eight years, and again for four. Exactly the same as you, no arguments, bad words or misunderstandings. I could tell he was getting really close to me in February (closer than normal), and in mid March, he bailed. It has been five months now, and other than seeing him at work, there has been no contact. Oh, and he picked up with another lady at work about two months ago. Good luck to you, because this truly sucks.
My ex is avoidant and he has texted me three times in less than a month now even trying to encourage conversation with me, so they can definitely reach out.
If my last reachout was me kinda asking for a closure conversation ("what did I do wrong? Can I just listen to your side?" etc.), and they told me "when i'm not busy", did I screw myself for the future? What if they reachout later and accept to the convo, should I suggest instead to a date or something lighthearted? Something that doesn't pertain to resurfacing blood under the bridge. I reached out about two weeks ago, have no clue what damage has been done for the present or future.
Since the break up already occur and that you wanted to understand what you did wrong, then you shouldn't (imo) set a date. You already agree to the break up to give her space and time. Setting a date right after is like pushing her as if you're saying "I can change" which many of us do after our ex break up with us. So if she did meet up with you, you should act normal, cool, calm, and collective. Try to understand her as to why the break up happen and try to learn from it for you only. You want to understand so you can change and fix your flaws. Not saying your partner doesn't have flaws but it suck that they don't see their own flaws and only recognize your bad side. Which mostly women are guilty of and yet they feel justified and feel "better" or "free" once they break up with the guy. Although the guy may and is guilty on his part.
I'm just stressed out about how I should read her intentions when she reaches out. I was a month into no contact when I offered that conversation. I'm concerned about how I should react if reaches out months (like waaaaaayy later) later agreeing to a conversation like that (which is kinda just pointless by that point). Cus months later its like we're both new people, so why even bring up the past. You know what I mean?

But since she didn't reply back for a month or little more, it's hopeless. As in she see it but didn't reply to it and hope that you forget about that message. Which is kind of rude but at least your ex didn't block you everywhere. But work on you and try to achieve success in life for you only. I heard people say that "you are born alone and you will die alone" which is true in the means of who love you is you. And people can leave. I'm not going to tell you to move on because that's literal bullshit to tell somebody but try to move forward if you get what I mean. Obviously you won't forget your ex but in time you will miss her as she might miss you. You know her better than us. I hope she doesn't take advice from her friends or family because it shows that she can get control and get manipulated easily. Ofcouse friends and family should say what they want but she should take it base on consideration and not literal. They shouldn't be the one to say or tell her what to do because let's face it, her friends doesn't have a good relationship and give their negative insight on yours and that influence her. Her parents, they may not like you just because you're dating her but if she knows you deep down then she will consider coming back and learn that both of you matter and not the outside party as much. If you are abusive or bad in a way then maybe the break up is good. I'm not expert like coach but imo it's better to focus on you. Let time make her miss you. Fix yourself, some other coach say that the reason why the ex break up with you is because you move out of your path and make her a priority which leads to neediness, cling, etc. And also it is because you weren't the guy you were when she first fell in love with you. But yeah it's best to work on you, don't put too much hop into her coming back because it will only hurt you.

bongkoy Lim post break up I had time to reflect on what the potential reason for what the argument that led to the breakup was all about, as she was indirectly telling me she wanted me to move in with her and her kid. I resisted as i thought it was too soon and she was communicating it cryptically. Once I thought I'd figured out what the hell was going on. I went over to fix the problem and offered myself to the both of them, despite my beliefs... how about that for a grand gesture! Still got rejected. I don't regret it and kinda happy she didn't accept as it's obvious now that I was right haha! Save your gestures for when it's deserved, not for negotiations or bargaining... the bar will only get higher. Know your worth.

My ex broke up with me three weeks ago and today I went No Contact after she told me she has met a new guy online and they were going to meet. I told her I could not do that as I still had feelings for her and not to call me unless she changed her mine. She protested but I held my ground.
I have always answered her calls in the two years we have known each other not missing one call in that entire time. Therefore, I felt as if she did not believe me when I said goodbye.
I was correct as she called me at bedtime. I did not answer the phone and it was possibly one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my life. My hands were shaking and my chest felt like it had the weight of 1000 pounds upon it.
Coach says they have to feel the emotion of missing us. I cannot be the backup plan for my ex and I cannot allow someone to think it is okay for my feelings to be disregarded.
And yet with that said, it scares the hell out of me she is gone.

@@andrasziegenham6766 Hello. As Coach Craig has said many times we may begin to see the relationship differently once we enter into No Contact. My ex was gone just long enough for me learn to not accept certain behaviors from her. I was no longer interested in her as much as I was interested in myself and my personal growth. I reached the point was she was no longer worthy of me. She has tried to reach out numerous times but I have fully moved on.
In my case I don’t expect my ex to reach out to me, he told me when he’s done with a relationship, he’s done. These videos help remind me to keep strong and not reach out. I’m just trying to heal, move on and keep my self value and dignity in tact. 🙂

I know that there was alot to learn in relationships. I knew none of this stuff, until she left. Been in no contact for a month and a half. I have excepted that she is gone for good, and I am focused on personal growth and dating new people! If she reaches out one day maybe I will be available maybe I wont be. I know that holding out for her is a waste of my time. On ward and upward!
No contact is hard I pray and gather strength everyday😭 it's week 2 now.
2 weeks out I was still an emotional wreck and physically sick... I'm now 5 weeks out and it still sucks but it's clearly getting better... there are still days that I'm not sure I will make it through but those days are less and slightly less physically painful.
Sick to it and each day will get a little bit better.

Breakup/no contact have been more than 2 months. It’s still hard to get over this breakup and to live without him. This is the worst pain ever. I’m dying inside. I feel hopeless now. Everyday I wished to die instead of waking up every morning and dealing with the pain and missing the person who I couldn’t be together anymore. For my situation, there has been no contact from the person. But everyone’s situation is different. When people told me, time will heal all wounds. I didn’t believe it. But time helps.. just be honest I’m still thinking of the person (and having a dream of the person and their family very frequently). But I keep trying to live my life instead of living in the shadow of the person and in the past. I know no words helped me to reduce pain and to make me feel better though. Stay strong!

Thank you. My Christmas was ruined as he told me a few days before that he met someone else after I broke 2 months of no contact. I felt like I was going to physically throw up by the fact that he tried to casually replace me with a random person instead of working things out which made me feel completely worthless. I think it might be over now because of a few things he'd said later on in the very sparse communication we've had. I told him I guess he's still looking for greener grass then said that the grass isn't greener on the other side it's greener where you water it...Possibly a little passive aggressive I know but it's true in my case as he was generally quite avoidant which makes the whole him looking for someone else thing even more baffling as he already had something pretty good at home he just didn't want to look after it. He'll probably have to treat a few others the way he treated me for him to realise that behaviour is not gonna fly with anyone with a brain and self respect!
Its funny because tonight i had a dream that i texted her and I woke up, said to myself: "This must be dream!". Then checked phone and phew... it only was a dream. :D
i dont have any abandonment issues all my family are there for me and always have been. but my god how hard is no contact. i did have a couple of slip ups which obviously ended up badly. they love knowing that you are still around and thinking about the. so now i am diligent and fully no contact no social media no phone number no whatsapp nothing.... 6 years we were together off and on so not going to be easy

There are many reasons as to why he contact you. Idk your relationship but in general:
1. The girl he dump you for didn't work out (if he was in a relationship after the break up)
2. He wanted sex from you (if you both ever had a intimid love and that he realize he couldn't get that).
3. He is confused (with life, job, family, etc.)
4. He could be a narcs that just Hoover.
5. Maybe he does want to work it out but since you pull away, he may have think you don't love him anymore like you used to so he may have try to just be friends.

But it's best you reply back in a relax way if you get what I mean. This is all my opinion, take it as a consideration but not literal. I'm not expert like coach but I'm going through a break up too and haven't heard from my ex gf for 3 months. Since he initiated the contact first, there is a good chance that maybe he does love you and Still text you even if you push him away. Idk your relationship but I am assuming he isn't mean, abusive, nor bad person. If possible, you could try to meet up and see how things go from there. But don't take my advice, just keep it in mind as a side thoughts.
I was in a relationship for 18 months where we lived together. I was her main financial supporter and as I am a little older and knowledgable I worked with her academically whereby she gain a 1 year scholarship to study overseas. We were very much in love in our 18 months and agreed to marry when she returned. In the first two months everything was ok, but conversation was becoming flat. So I went over and stayed with her for two weeks and everything was how it was - beautiful. However, middle of the visit we had a bad argument, but we sat down and discuss it and worked it through. Well at least I thought we had. The rest of the trip was still perfect and there was a lot of romance. When it came time to leave we discuss marriage and we were both excited. I left. Two weeks has passed and her interest was gone. No interested in talking communicating anything. And said our argument was too much. I new something was very strange from how she went so cold so quickly. I asked her if there was someone else, she replied no. I new she was lying so I took a week off work jumped on a plane and flew 16 hrs to confront her. We ended up sleeping together for 3 days in a hotel but something was different and someone kept calling her phone. I did the worst and checked her phone to discover that she had started a full blown relationship with someone else.- sharing photos blowing kisses, pages and pages of sweet messages. `But here on the other-hand she is laying with me like we are still lovers. I confront her and she admitted to it and said that we are over. Just like that that she likes this new guy. I left immediately, and she just vanished off the planet with no explanation. Its been two months and I am still absolutely devastated, I said we were going to get married in several months and I love you. We text for the first time in two months. I could fell the guilt of her texts. I stupidly told her I still love her with everything. She told me to stop as its hurting her. She said she thinks of me and I have come to her dreams almost every-night in the past two weeks (not sure if god or bad) but she said if I really love her, please forgive her and move on with your life. Please move on and be happy.

I spent some time with my ex last week (our second meetup) it was so much fun. We went to have lunch...went to the beach...and hooked up...no sex...but a very good time. He said he enjoyed every minute of our hangout. I also heard from his mother (his grandmother passed away and I sent flowers to the family) she thanked me for the flowers and told me he mentioned our hangout and she was happy to hear about it. Is that a good sign? Telling his mom we saw each other? It feels like a good sign. Hope I can send a true success story eventually. ♥️

Craig have you ever had an avoidant dismissive that keeps returning ..and then leaving at the same time every year? We have been on again off again for 5 years. He is divorced in his 40's.
You have to consider your emotional health if that’s going to work out on the long run like the coach has said before 90% of relationships will fail sadly. I was also in a on and off relationship with an avoidant and I was being delusional and distorting reality that it would workout but now I’ve realized how toxic we were to each other and it was just not going to workout anymore.

I'm in the beginning of a relationship, and I will not be able to call her for a few days after an Amazing time with her (yes sex as well as hours of talking on the couch watching videos discussing favorite books, dreams, and on and on 10 hours straight we lost track of time) on August 8-9th. Me and my ex dated for 4 years. We have now been broken up for a month. I hear from her friends and family that she does want to get back together with me and she misses me. When we broke up it was because of space, we haven’t texted in a week but we Snapchat eachother just because she would like to keep the Snapchat streak. It’s at a very high number. This is essentially how she “ reaches out to me” everyday. Should I go no contact and break the streak and ignore her snapchats? It's not hard once you throw everything in perspective. It was super painful the first week or two. It's going on 14 weeks It's a little painful. But it's not that bad. I just don't know why I'd want to do this again.

Carry on with nc till it's something substantial and tell her you're not interested in being friends as you love her she can contact you if she changes her mind. Hi guys. Does no contact have an impact if I initiated it? My ex rejected me 2 months ago for someone else. She was desperate to remain best friends and keep talking, but I said no as it’s too painful, and 2 weeks ago went to NC. I’m really struggling and lost without her, we were best friends for 5 years before being together.
Went NC for a few days. I was weak and reached out. Apparently she was wanting to reach out to me and was happy I reached out to her.
She has a hard time expressing her feelings. We spent time together kissed and parted ways because I needed to go home to prepare for the next day.

I’m in to a week & I’m finding it difficult
In your experience, will an avoidant who pulled away reach back out or are they the exception? I respected his choice and have not contacted him. It's been almost 2 months. We never had a fight or bad word. He originally shared Lots of deep emotion and love, then pulled away. I now know I'm an anxious and have decided to work on myself.
Certified Relationship Coach I know exactly where you are at! My avoidant and I were together a total of twelve years, once for eight years, and again for four. Exactly the same as you, no arguments, bad words or misunderstandings. I could tell he was getting really close to me in February (closer than normal), and in mid March, he bailed. It has been five months now, and other than seeing him at work, there has been no contact. Oh, and he picked up with another lady at work about two months ago. Good luck to you, because this truly sucks.
My ex is avoidant and he has texted me three times in less than a month now even trying to encourage conversation with me, so they can definitely reach out.
If my last reachout was me kinda asking for a closure conversation ("what did I do wrong? Can I just listen to your side?" etc.), and they told me "when i'm not busy", did I screw myself for the future? What if they reachout later and accept to the convo, should I suggest instead to a date or something lighthearted? Something that doesn't pertain to resurfacing blood under the bridge. I reached out about two weeks ago, have no clue what damage has been done for the present or future.
Since the break up already occur and that you wanted to understand what you did wrong, then you shouldn't (imo) set a date. You already agree to the break up to give her space and time. Setting a date right after is like pushing her as if you're saying "I can change" which many of us do after our ex break up with us. So if she did meet up with you, you should act normal, cool, calm, and collective. Try to understand her as to why the break up happen and try to learn from it for you only. You want to understand so you can change and fix your flaws. Not saying your partner doesn't have flaws but it suck that they don't see their own flaws and only recognize your bad side. Which mostly women are guilty of and yet they feel justified and feel "better" or "free" once they break up with the guy. Although the guy may and is guilty on his part.
I'm just stressed out about how I should read her intentions when she reaches out. I was a month into no contact when I offered that conversation. I'm concerned about how I should react if reaches out months (like waaaaaayy later) later agreeing to a conversation like that (which is kinda just pointless by that point). Cus months later its like we're both new people, so why even bring up the past. You know what I mean?

I hope she doesn't take advice from her friends or family because it shows that she can get control and get manipulated easily. Ofcouse friends and family should say what they want but she should take it base on consideration and not literal. They shouldn't be the one to say or tell her what to do because let's face it, her friends doesn't have a good relationship and give their negative insight on yours and that influence her. Her parents, they may not like you just because you're dating her but if she knows you deep down then she will consider coming back and learn that both of you matter and not the outside party as much. If you are abusive or bad in a way then maybe the break up is good. I'm not expert like coach but imo it's better to focus on you. Let time make her miss you. Fix yourself, some other coach say that the reason why the ex break up with you is because you move out of your path and make her a priority which leads to neediness, cling, etc. And also it is because you weren't the guy you were when she first fell in love with you. But yeah it's best to work on you, don't put too much hop into her coming back because it will only hurt you.

bongkoy Lim post break up I had time to reflect on what the potential reason for what the argument that led to the breakup was all about, as she was indirectly telling me she wanted me to move in with her and her kid. I resisted as i thought it was too soon and she was communicating it cryptically. Once I thought I'd figured out what the hell was going on. I went over to fix the problem and offered myself to the both of them, despite my beliefs... how about that for a grand gesture! Still got rejected. I don't regret it and kinda happy she didn't accept as it's obvious now that I was right haha! Save your gestures for when it's deserved, not for negotiations or bargaining... the bar will only get higher. Know your worth.
