Meanwhile, I always thought that the hand that picked up The Master’s ring was Lucy, The Master’s wife, considering that the woman who did actually pick it up (real name Miss Trefusis) had red nail paint like what Lucy wore. Ironically, both Lucy and Donna (amongst several other major female characters from the revived series, including Missy) were believed to actually have been The Rani, a renegade Time Lady who has also faced off against The Doctor a few times (and even worked with The Master in her first appearance).
For the monks, I actually thought that they might have been survivors from The Fires of Pompeii, because that episode has a special connection to the Doctor because he copied the Roman father’s face. Not true, but kinda cool, I feel.

Graham would have been better if he was really the Master, not the Doctor. We were just coming off of Missy's redemption arc, and the Master taking on a human identity and inserting himself into the Doctor's life as a Companion would have followed that progression, letting the Doctor get to know and like Graham and see him as a good person before learning who that good person used to be.
I can't believe nobody has put forth the theory that The Doctor and River Song have a child together . The last part of Silence in the Library, where The Doctor says "There is only one way I can tell you my name." before her death, and earlier in the same episode, when River says " I have never seen him this young." Maybe she knew 14.. And the biggest clue of all is in The Wedding of River Song, when the Doctor asks River " Who are you?" She replies " I'm telling you, can't you read?" and points to the crib/cot. She is the mother of his child, it's a family crib with the family history on it. The Doctor reacts like a lightbulb goes on.. He says " Ohh..we" ( and makes kiss noises ) and then giggles with delight. From that point he treats her very differently. It was also River's cot, as Amy and Rory live in the TARDIS, Thus the old embroidered memento shaped like a leaf. My bet is the only way the Doctor can tell someone his name, is to make a new life, a baby, with them. I would guess the child is born following the Husbands of River Song in those 24 year long night..
I do remember the pregnant River theory - in "The Impossible Astronaut" both she and Amy feel sick after seeing the Silence, but others don't. At the time it was suggested that this was due to being pregnant, as Amy was/wasn't pregnant.
Of these all I really really like the Midnight TARDIS one! I agree it shouldn’t ever be confirmed lol but I love the concept! Maybe if a future story hints it super vaguely
Ok I'm not gonna lie! But I actually believed that the 11th Doctor was actually the father of Amy and Rory's daughter, until it was actually revealed that Amy had been kidnapped just after conceiving Melody (a.k.a River Song), and it turned out that Rory was the father.
It mimicked everyone but eventually focused on the Doctor probably because he was talking more than the others, spoke directly to it using the most complex phrases allowing the entity to adapt to him, and was the one spending the most time near it (the others kept their distance).
Personally, I'd love it if Graham were the Doctor! As a matter of fact, when Clara told that Cyberman _she_ was the Doctor, I believed it and was all for it! And Mr. Walsh and Ms. Coleman would both make excellent future Doctors. Regarding Rory being the Master...if it were true, I hope it would be a version that had finally shaped up, saw the light, and was truly the Doctor's friend again. 😊
I don't see anything crazy about thinking the Doctor was the father of Amy's daughter, given the way she literally threw herself at him since day one (well, day two if you dismiss day one as little Amy). She was even still ready to go to town during her own wedding reception.
Had they fleshed out Clara character a bit more interestingly, I could believe she could have been a regeneration of Jenny, the Doctor's Daughter. (either past, or future, or travelling backward in time like River, but not letting on that fact).
While I'm not sure the Master-Rory theory was ment to be correct, there HAS to have been some dropped story line involving Rory being something else than he seemed. There were far too many seemingly intentional implications that something was up for this not to be the case, such as the headache-thing, and when he accidentally said they "used to" travel with the Doctor while still doing it.
The "used to" in the god complex is a symbol that he considered his and amys life to be beyond the doctor. At that point they live their domestic live and only occasionally travel in the tardis. Most of their journeys together are in the past ("used to") and only very few are in the future. This is not a reference to rory being something else, but just an acceptance that he is growing out of this phase of his live. The doctor himself realizes this in this exact episode.
@@alexandercharizard3617 It's a decent thought, and I do seem to remember Rory saying so as explanation. But I don't know, I always felt the phrasing was a bit of for that to be the case (which possibly could be just bad writing). Also, there are other situations as well, mostly those commonly used as support for the MasterRory theory. But yeah, in the end it's speculation.
Some of these make a lot of sense, and given that Amy's baby was going to be a "time baby" it still kinda makes sense. I'd say at least 3 of these don't remotely qualify as "crazy" theories lol.
The timeless children made the timelord's regeneration ability a genetic trait stolen from the timeless child rather than being a result of being conceived in a Tardis. Hence unpalatable as it may be this change seems to point to the Doctor being River Song's father since she was able to regenerate and he was the only one around with this genetic trait - unless of course Rory really was the Master.
Considering the power Rose gets from absorbing the Heart Of The TARDIS, nah it's definitely plausible that amy getting/being pregnant while traveling in the TARDIS could result in a "time baby." They also said before "The longer someone travels in a TARDIS, the more 'time particles' will be around them." or something. Doesn't 10 use the old school red and blue 3D glasses to see them on himself and Rose in the New New New New New York on New Earth or whatever? The Timeless Child doesn't get to retcon better stories lol. If anything, I hope it gets retconned. Same reason I don't consider Captain Marvel canon to the MCU.
Well stated! I'm not fond of "The Timeless Child" holographic novel, either. (I'm pretty sure The Master concocted it, which makes me suspect that he's as good a writer as he was a Prime Minister.)
"Rory... the man who dies again and again... the man who never stays dead... the man that's better then most men... the man who is better known as the master instead..." IF IT WAS REVEALED THAT IT WAS HIM HE SHOULD SAY THAT! RORY SHOULD SAY THAT!
One thing I have been wondering about all these years that during the story Time Flight where the Master envelops the Zerophin collective into his Tardis, that after he repairs the part the Doctor had given him, how powerful should his Tardis be. In after stories makes no mention of this nor is most of the time not present unless you see it in The Trial Of A Timelord series. Otherwise it isn't seen again with The Mark Of The Rani or Survival.
When David Tennant was hit with the Dalek shot, at first I was concerned, but felt he'd just been winged; not enough to kill. But when he went full-on into regenerating, it was so utterly unexpected, I quite literally leaped out of my chair shouting, "𝙉𝙤𝙤𝙤𝙤𝙤𝙤...!!!"
I actually wish regenerations in NuWho happened more like this. It's weird for them to be mortally wounded but then just go on for days/weeks (in some cases like Tennant and Capaldi) before actually going through the process. It's just one of many things NuWho ruined about regeneration along with the destructive power of it (makes no sense, especially to the extent Matt Smith's Doctor's regeneration did to the Dalek ships), the ability to heal others, and being able to regenerate at any time even without injury. The Doc could shoot energy from his hands at any time to get out of scrapes if he had to.
Are we gonna ignore the fact that at the "The 11th doctor is the father" part they said "But it put the notion of any romance between the doctor and amy to *bed* " Are we just gonna forget that?
What if Doctor/Ruth was actually The Doctor's Daughter? It kinda makes sense. Their DNA would match because she was cloned from the Doctor's cells. Jenny was born in a War so that would make her more like Ruth. She would model her Tardis exterior after her father's to honor him. It would look different inside because she never actually went in. But, why would she call herself the Doctor? Maybe to honor her father. Maybe to remember him. Or maybe it's one of the only things she remembered after her regeneration. The name Doctor. It also explains Why the Doctors don't know about their past lives.
The Genesis of the Daleks has a different origin story to the The Daleks, which were introduced in Hartnell's second story after An Unearthly Child. Watching them months (maybe a year or two) apart rather than four incarnationsm meant that I noticed it. I originally thought different people had written it forgetting what had berndone before. Seems the Terry N wrote both, so maybe he forgot. In universe, the discrepancy could be based on History is written by the Winners.
Let's be honest, 13 going out with "tag you're it" is Chibnall's best writing for Whitaker, sad it came at the end. I honestly wished the writing for 13's seasons had been better, I was all for a female Doctor had the writing been good also I would have loved to have seen an interaction between 13 & River Song, that, in the words of River would have been "a whole different birthday". Though that line always stuck out to me, knowing what we know about River and the Doctor and how they never meet in the correct order, is she alluding to a past birthday celebration with the Doctor in they have an adventure with River as multiple incarnations? Certainly would make for a cool anniversary special or even Christmas special idea, hell it could also mean that perhaps River has witnessed one of the Doctor's regenerations and it happened on her birthday I could imagine that the self confessed "perfect psychopath" would thrill at the idea of witnessing the Doctor's change. Oh well fun to speculate but is probably just River fantasizing over meeting multiple Doctors at the same time or just a throw away line that isn't meant to go anywhere.
I'm not sure about the conspiracy theory side of it (don't take it personally, I feel that way about all of them ;)), but I 100% agree regarding the "Tag, you're it!" line. That said _so much_ about her! Self-assured, confident without being too arrogant, and with a great sense of humour! Up till then the men had been reluctant at best, but she even went with a beautiful smile. And she didn't burn up the TARDIS like other NuWho docs insist on doing!
12:03 David Tennant regenerated back into himself, and then shunted the remaining energy back to Handy, the severed hand. Matt Smith's incarnation recounts this in Time of the Doctor.
Unfortunately the timeless child plot has made regeneration genetic which unfortunately means yes river is the doctors child , she can’t have time lord powers unless it is genetic
Thank you for sharing these theories. If I come across a fellow Doctor Who fan that spouts these theories. I will make every effort possible to have them sectioned.
There's another theory that John Frobisher from the Torchwood Children of Earth series is actually a Chameleon Arch disguised Twelfth Doctor. The theory posits that after Clara "dies", the Twelfth Doctor tries to run from his grief by sealing away his psyche for a bit. Like a holiday or something. The TARDIS sets him up in early 21st century Britain as John Frobisher, a civil servant with a pretty mundane life but ties to the PM due to his innate need to stick close to "fixed point events" that might need a helping hand. He finds a wife, has kids, and becomes embroiled in the 456 conspiracy. The Doctor's inner subconscious keeps fighting with Frobisher's over going along with putting children at risk for the PM's plan, resisting and becoming somewhat increasingly erratic. He even goes overkill against Torchwood, because The Doctor's knowledge that Jack and Torchwood are the real deal manifests as Frobisher "wanting to be sure". Eventually after the Prime Minister orders Frobisher to submit his children to the 456, he has a mental breakdown. The Frobisher personality has struggled with the increasingly bizarre and traumatising events the past week, and The Doctor's psyche is trying to force its way out to deal with the situation and save the children. Frobisher ends up killing his children and wife to spare them from the 456, and The Doctor's psyche/self-preservation instincts kick in to knock himself out before the final suicidal gunshot can hit its target. The PM's staff wondering where Frobisher and his family have gone would investigate and (internally) announce they were found dead.Supposedly some mishmash delirious Frobisher/Doctor personality almost entirely fuelled by self-preservation and mindless determination to get back to the safety of the TARDIS would then (amidst the confusion and chaos) slip out of the clean-up by the government, and stumble back to his TARDIS, collapsing inside. He'd awake much later, confused about what's transpired, but conclude it was likely a residual effect of the memory loss device employed with Clara. The theory doesn't really hold up, but only seems to exist to answer two questions: Why does Twelve (whose resemblance to Caecillius, another Capaldi character in the Whoniverse was strongly focused on) not have a reason for looking exactly like Frobisher? And why didn't The Doctor get involved with the 456, especially considering kids were at risk? The Chameleon Arch putting Twelve as Frobisher who becomes a focal (but tragically unwilling pawn/victim) part of the 456 crisis answers the first, and supposedly the Tenth Doctor (the active one at that time specifically)'s TARDIS would have instinctively known from the timelines to steer clear of a future version of itself and a disguised human version of the Twelfth Doctor going through some shit (and unfortunately letting Ten know about human kids getting abducted and abused for decades or longer would have just complicated matters dramatically). There's too many plot holes with the theory, but it's one I've seen circulating around regarding Frobisher.
Hm, if the Tardis can disguise as a human, I wouldn't mind if this "Tardis" is actually Clara and Ashildr, you know, doing their "long way around" trip to Clara's death...
@@chubby_deity3143You might be confusing the Chameleon Circuit with the Chameleon Arch. The Chameleon Arch is a derived technology from the Chameleon Circuit that the TARDIS uses to blend with its surroundings. The Chameleon Arch transforms a TimeLord into, essentially, a human being-not just in appearance, but also genetically, as shown in the “Human Nature/Family of Blood” storyline, where the Family of Blood was not able to locate the bio markers of the Doctor while he was using the Chameleon Arch. The use that the OP mentions is completely in line with what the show has done on-screen with the device.
Jack is River Song, post-nanogene facelift. Too many parallels between the two, and their obsessions with the Doctor(s). He is immortal, and after a few centuries, he gets a “facelift” thanks to nanogenes, in order to avoid meeting himself, avoid someone else, or just because he felt his old face was boring. Simple transition to a female form and “Hello, Benjamin!” He then tracks down the Doctor once more, playing coy about their previous times together and the chase begins anew. I may have put enough thought into this to write a short fanfic. *whistles innocently* Alternatively, Jack is the child of River and Doctor, which explains why 9/10 humored him, but brushed off his flirtations. … Amy & Rory’s timeline is an alternate time bubble, created by Kovarian/Silence/W.Angels/Random Villain (House?) The whole arc is not involved in any other Whoniverse project, past or present, and very self contained. Sure, we see Daleks, Cybermen, and whatnot, but other than SJA: Death of the Doctor, we don’t see 11’s run reference anything else he’s done, unlike every Doctor before and since, Library excepted. Ok but can we all just collectively imagine how heartbreaking it would have been if Journey’s End was David’s actual regeneration? Spending all that time pining after Rose, he finally reunites with her, only to be gunned down by a stray Dalek - regenerating and then going through the usual process of post-regen amnesia? The pain Rose would have felt as he stared into her eyes with no recollection? 😭
We he regenerated from the 9th Doctor into the 10th he recognised her straight away so I don't see that. Also, when he did regenerate into the 11th he didn't suffer from amnesia.
Most of these fan theories were terrible. LOL. Anyway, is the speculation about the Doctor being the father of Amy's baby really considered a "fan theory"? The show was constantly hinting at it, and by hinting I mean it taped the idea to a brick and was smashing it into the viewers face over and over. People were intended to suspect exactly this.
With the Doctor vanishing, because they stepped onto the circle, and now Sutekh been the only one in charge of the TARDIS, what if Sutekh started manipulating the perception filter in order to push everyone away from Ruby and force her to commit suicide therefore getting rid of her for ever. With both Ruby and the Doctor gone, Sutekh has nobody to stop him from taking over the universe. If he was attached to the TARDIS for this long, he probably learned how to pilot the time capsule from the Doctor. Maybe she knew 14..
It's when he marries them, obviously.
So close yet so far
I do remember the pregnant River theory - in "The Impossible Astronaut" both she and Amy feel sick after seeing the Silence, but others don't. At the time it was suggested that this was due to being pregnant, as Amy was/wasn't pregnant.
Right you are. Don't know how I forgot/missed that. Still pretty sure they have a kid. @@Paradox-es3bl
Of these all I really really like the Midnight TARDIS one!
I agree it shouldn’t ever be confirmed lol but I love the concept!
Maybe if a future story hints it super vaguely
I would enjoy seeing a TARDIS as a villain. It could be very fascinating
Ok I'm not gonna lie! But I actually believed that the 11th Doctor was actually the father of Amy and Rory's daughter, until it was actually revealed that Amy had been kidnapped just after conceiving Melody (a.k.a River Song), and it turned out that Rory was the father.
Roronicus, the DNA test results are in.. You ARE the father!
I don't think the entity was more keen on possessing the Doctor than anything else in there.
It mimicked everyone but eventually focused on the Doctor probably because he was talking more than the others, spoke directly to it using the most complex phrases allowing the entity to adapt to him, and was the one spending the most time near it (the others kept their distance).
@@wallacewallaby5782 The entity imprinted on the Doctor and then tried to kill him.. I got it, the Entity =😼
How about the theory tied to every mysterious female character who ever appeared on the show, that she was actually the Rani?
The doctor is a woman
The rani is a timeless child ahhhhhhhhhg!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lol
I like the Rory is the Master theory, give River's story another twist too
Had they fleshed out Clara character a bit more interestingly, I could believe she could have been a regeneration of Jenny, the Doctor's Daughter. (either past, or future, or travelling backward in time like River, but not letting on that fact).
thats weird, especially considering the fact that Clara had feelings for the doctor.
The rumour I’ve heard most about doctor who is that Clara is river and the doctors child 😱😱
That's an excellent explanation 😊
The headache at least was explicitly explained in the episode
@@alexandercharizard3617 It's a decent thought, and I do seem to remember Rory saying so as explanation. But I don't know, I always felt the phrasing was a bit of for that to be the case (which possibly could be just bad writing). Also, there are other situations as well, mostly those commonly used as support for the MasterRory theory. But yeah, in the end it's speculation.
@@warrenny1168 It was? I don't remember that at all. It seems I have to rewatch "Let's kill Hitler" then
Some of these make a lot of sense, and given that Amy's baby was going to be a "time baby" it still kinda makes sense. I'd say at least 3 of these don't remotely qualify as "crazy" theories lol.
Well, I believe that the Kassavins are some kind of evolved version of the Boneless
@@YesTHATJohnSmith He still lasted longer than Liz Truss
So if Rory is the Master then that means the Doctor married the Masters daughter,
"Rory... the man who dies again and again... the man who never stays dead... the man that's better then most men... the man who is better known as the master instead..."
IF IT WAS REVEALED THAT IT WAS HIM HE SHOULD SAY THAT!
“To once again invoke Orphan 55-“
No don’t do that. Really. Really, don’t…
honestly "the doctor is melody's father" is horrible, that's basically completely writing off amy's morals saying that she cheated on rory
Are we gonna ignore the fact that at the "The 11th doctor is the father" part they said
"But it put the notion of any romance between the doctor and amy to *bed* "
Are we just gonna forget that?
I remember when it was speculated that Harriet Jones (whoever she is) was the one who picked up the Master's ring.
Harriet Jones, former Prime Minister.
@@scarletbard6511yes, we know!
I thought Anthony Head's character in the School Reunion was the Master returning
Still time for him to be the master, he'd make a fantastic one
That last one is true though. The next Doctor did appear in "Journey's End." Played by David Tennant.
Unfortunately the timeless child plot has made regeneration genetic which unfortunately means yes river is the doctors child , she can’t have time lord powers unless it is genetic

a lot of these theories are the sort of thing i'd never actually want canon but would love to read fanfictions about
I feel out of my chair at the... ooohhhh yikes moments! Well struck everyone, well struck.

*whistles innocently*
Alternatively, Jack is the child of River and Doctor, which explains why 9/10 humored him, but brushed off his flirtations.

Amy & Rory’s timeline is an alternate time bubble, created by Kovarian/Silence/W.Angels/Random Villain (House?)
The whole arc is not involved in any other Whoniverse project, past or present, and very self contained.
Sure, we see Daleks, Cybermen, and whatnot, but other than SJA: Death of the Doctor, we don’t see 11’s run reference anything else he’s done, unlike every Doctor before and since, Library excepted. We don’t even get a hint of the Master!

My favourite fan theory is the Time Lords evolve from humans, or vice versa. We are connected, somehow…

Haven’t watched the video yet, but that thumbnail is so cursed.
It's explained that melody was conceived on the tardis and so the time matrix merged with melody
I’ve come across weirder theories in fanfiction
He could go potentially go anywhere in time and space and kill anything that stood in his way. 🤔
If Maury Povich guest stars on a Doctor Who episode, maybe we'll get our "Is he the father?" answer... ;-P

People thought the Doctor was the father of Amy's baby (while I never believed this, it was something being actively teased at by the show, so I think calling it a crazy fan theory is a stretch). We did not yet know that Amy's baby was River Song. If people had already known this, they would have realized it would never have written into a show like Doctor Who

As for honest facts, the doctors never lie? They do have a brain that works differently to humans and merely see things differently. A witness to historical events and future events and knowledge of all forms of life in any universe and have seen everything in ways unexplainable with the powers of the mental abilities of ESP, and possibly from a collective consciousness of other time lords.
Family connections as we know the Doctor has a granddaughter Susan Foreman. On the gates to the junkyard, the sign says I. E . FOREMAN, in the first episode, we see it is the name of our doctor ( I ) ( E )?
Susan does later marry, and I believe she has a daughter and son. Both are possible now in their 50s and living on a different world. The daughter might have a daughter to? Here's where I have a crazy idea she is actually the woman the masters wife? Or is she Rorys mother? Or possibly Amy's grandmother? Everything has s oddly collective theories?

Oh! Now i want Rory to have been The Master!
It has been a long show.
I still believe the Doctor is River's dad and NO it has not been proven otherwise. 1 Rory was erased from time itself, he never existed, at least in Big Bang Universe 1, BUT River does still exist. How can River exist if her dad does Not? 2 an extension of the 1st is Amy jumping 11's bones on her pre wedding night, and that Rory does not come back into reality until AFTER that night. 3 it makes no sense how they could create River as a timelord without some time lord DNA. She does have time lord DNA and she didn't get it from Rory!
