One of the biggest triumphs of this film is that it goes WAY beyond just the casual, throw-in cameo we’ve come to expect in a MCU film. Sure there’s a few of those here, but the major cameos are actually treated as characters. I loved that.
Wesley Snipes was acting like they just picked him up off the sidewalk and told him to let the people know his feelings about being cool in marvel before it was cool. He nailed it perfectly. "There's only 1 blade!" Badass. Owned his love for HIS rendition for the character Blade.
@@davidsamuelson2089 Idk what to say if you considered those ''nothing cameos''. Are you too young to have seen Blade? Never read x-men so you dont care about Gambit?
Yeah. They knew if that person was at the premier without showing it in the trailers then it would spoil it for everyone. So they did it so that person could attend the premier. I was absolutely okay with that.
one of my favorite parts about this movie is that it comes off sincere. a line that really stuck out to me was when Wade said he’s been waiting a long time for this team up and that Hugh is the best Wolverine. that to me not only came from Wade’s heart, but it also came from Ryan’s because fuck yeah he’s been waiting and so have we.
Dude, I got to say I really appreciate your commitment to keeping your reviews honest & spoiler free. Idk why Some channels think it's cool to post their thumbnails with new scenes or clips that they know nobody else has seen just to somehow prove that they saw the movie early
@The_Bailey_show They're assholes who want the rage views and don't care how disliked their videos are. They will post massive spoilers in the title and thumbnail, usually with their ugly face doing some kind of "react" pose. Every single one of those videos need to be flagged for intentionally posting spoilers before the weekend has passed. The worst thing is, you don't even have to go searching for them; TH-cam will just post them as recommendations in the side bar or as some unrelated video while doing a search. I use BlockTube to flag every one of those awful videos.
I think the best part of the movie was the chemistry between Deadpool and Wolverine. It’s what I used to love about the MCU; watching people who are wildly different from each other interact and try to work together.
It sure was. I almost wish I'd gone in blue balled and had not seen a Marvel movies since Endgame, because it really works if you consider the 'blip' as when it all ended and super hero lives went back to nothing serious taking place.

Jeremy. You are my favorite movie reviewer. Been here a LONG time and it’s just crazy how we are now talking about Deadpool and Wolverine already lol. Thanks for all your content brotha
I saw this last night and it was a lot of fun - the only thing about the trailer was that there were one or two scenes featured in at least the first trailer that didn't appear in the actual movie, which happens a lot but still missed when it does. The performances, dialogue, and (often-extended) cameos were hilarious and great tie-ins with the other MCU movies, and in the middle of all the chaos the movie still managed to have heartfelt moments like Jeremy mentioned in the review. The post-credits scene/montage also was a nice touch.
Deadpool & Wolverine is delightful entertainment. An over the top spectacle, a marvellous rollercoaster but an endearing experience that focuses on character and emotion when it needs to. The script keeps a fine balance between humour and drama. It never feels like it’s leaning too far to one side. There’s jokes and gags aplenty, with Reynolds delivering his best performance yet as the “merc with the mouth.” Ryan’s respect and passion for the source material pays off in spades. It’s testament to his dedication to the role because Deadpool finally evolves past the wisecracks and into something more tangible and sympathetic. He’s still Deadpool but he’s all grown up and he’s back with a new companion in wolverine. If I had doubts about Jackman returning to the role, all concerns are effectively dismissed. This is perhaps his best performance, outshining his performance in Logan by a small margin. Jackman is magnificent here adding depth and nuance to wolverine with such distinction, it has to be seen, to be believed. The oddball bromance between these two is the central focus of the film, both carrying the narrative with finesse. It’s clear this film was made with compassion and dignity because the film has heart. The emphasis on making Wade and Logan two broken, dysfunctional men, both on a path of redemption, both heroes at their core, is what makes Deadpool & Wolverine a classic entry in the superhero genre . It’s pure unadulterated fun, that packs many surprises, is hyper-violent, stylistically glorious but most importantly it’s emotionally driven. The film does enough to keep a smile on your face throughout its runtime. Deadpool and wolverine reminds us that comicbook movies can be fun and poignant at the same time, in my opinion that’s the best kind. Go see it. You’ll have a great time.
Fantastic review. I agree with pretty much everything you said. I think Logan is still Hugh’s best performance as Wolverine, but this movie was a close second!
I loved it. I never watched the fox x-men movies so I watched them before going, and I liked it a lot. I wonder how people who haven't watched a lot of the other Fox and MCU films will feel about the film. It's hard for me to imagine what it's like without getting the references. However, I really enjoyed the film overall. It feels made with a ton of love. While it does rely on reference humor it feels earned going as far as to cast many people to play reprise old roles. I also think the plot more or less works even if you don't get some of the references early on. You get the gist. I almost wish there were a little more buddy cop time between the 2 leads. The chemistry of the lead characters is great. Even though no individual element stood out as being exceptional I found the overall experience somehow way better than the sum of its parts. I enjoyed it *way* more than I'd anticipated. I think it was actually one of my favorite movies this year. I just can't think of a film that's felt as "fun" as this one in recent memory.
Without spoilers I really liked how they handled the cameos in this. It was arguably a cameo fest sure but they honored the characters that appeared in ways that felt like solid send offs to some of the heroes that really forged the path for the MCU to even exist. The movie was also solid, those sprinkles of heart really gave the movie some impact. My only real complaint is the trailers which did really take away from some of the films best moments. I might avoid more trailers in the future because of the way they were handled here. Still easily the best MCU project of this era.
Your right just avoid all trailers they can ruin so much in a film. However Deadpool and wolverine was one of the most unfunny "comedies" I'd ever seen
It was EXACTLY what was promised. They knew what the audience wanted and by god they delivered. That first cameo had me rolling. The other cameos were brilliantly executed. And the sheer audacity of how they handled the Logan ending while still bringing Wolverine back was just chef’s kiss. Highly recommended for any fans of the first two Deadpool movies.
Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) was more or less a Swan Song for the 20th Century Fox Marvel superhero films with all their highs and lows. And for that, I thought it was good. I would have found it pretty sad if the farewell had remained The New Mutants (2020).
I agree it's a good send off really, i felt like its a good ending for the fox franchise if they're not gonna bring them back to any future projects I'll live with that.
Yes, I just saw it and I'm being extra careful to avoid spoilers, because the movie is really that good. They don't show you everyone from the FOX Marvel universe, but I feel like at least every major Marvel movie FOX did was represented by at least one character here, from the first X-Men to Logan.
What I liked is that the film, in its "heart" moments expanded on the character seen in previous films, taking cues from those films, while also putting it in a new context - in ways that the other films couldn't.
so many jokes & quick moments, watched it a 2nd time today and laughed at new stuff I haven't seen before like DP poking the sword in Wolverine after the fight in the void in the background while the attention is on a *cameo character*
Now THIS is how you make a multiverse film in the MCU, with cameos that make sense and contribute to the story and its main characters... not Multiverse of Madness.
The cameos in MoM and here (most specially the resistance) group served the same purpose. Stop the copium, get your own opinion because I know you just heard this from your favorite content creator
Wow, not quite the glowing review I was expecting. As a 34-year-old father of 4...I don't make it to the cinema... ever. I made an exception for this. I loved the first two and was so pumped for this movie. And it was even better then I hoped! I was expecting an even bigger run time and was left wanting more. Jeremy, I always come back to your reviews after seeing the film because, almost unequivocally, your take on movies aligns with mine perfectly. This is not true!! I give the movie two thumbs down. Reynolds could not be less funny in this and at one point even goes as low to make a minions joke.
One thing I liked about the big cameos in this was that they actually did something. It wasn't like they popped up and you never saw them again or they immediately die (looking at you, Multiverse of Madness). They actually became part of the story and you see them take care of business like a bunch of badasses
I've already seen D&W reviews. I know I will see it in theaters. I have a feeling I know what Jeremy will say AND I've been waiting for this review all week. Finally!
As a member of the female audience, i would very much like to thank who's idea it was to have a very specific shot of Hugh towards the end of the movie. There was a lady behind me that was actually gasping. Thank you Marvell 😉
I think this one is more accurate. You've got an even more accurate deadpool suit, accurate wolverine and without spoilers I can't say much but there's alot straight from the comics.
Fuuuuck I meant to imply Nicholas Cage as Ghost Rider … 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ my fault for being too vague and not double checking if it could be justifiably interpreted a different way
I screamed as soon as I saw Sophie Turner's Jean Grey return to super-punch Thanos too! The whole audience clapped as she said "I'm from Phoenix, Arizona!"
3:46 Cuz it's funny. I may be sadistic or just accepting; but that end fight scene was hilarious to me. DP & LOGAN's answer to that hallway fight scene in GOTG vol. 3.

As Deadpool would probably say to you- " No, buddy, I am THE Marvel Jesus. All others are imitators. But I hope the movie was as good for you as it was for me."
There’s a certain appearance from a character, that had me cheering and clapping because I’ve always wanted to see them and FINALLY did. Felt like I was at a sports game.
Without spoiling it, the reason they did that in the final trailer is because Bob Iger was pressuring Fiegi to show the heart of the movie and that actor really wanted to attend the premiere. But I’m in the same boat. I was like “that isn’t necessary”
Cameos aside... This is the best version of Wolverine in 2 decades we have seen him on big screen... And his dynamic with Deadpool is incredible. My god this movie looks GLORIOUS!!!
No it isn't. You're a weak minded pathetic fanboy type who obviously just wants to love this no matter what. You making that statement is so obvious BS.
That's my own issue, problem - neither seems right choice of word, but Wolverine was so good, especially so as he began to reveal more about how he ended in such a bad state, that for the emotional weight, and seriousness of it all, then flipping back to full on Deadpool was quite jarring
@@HairyMart My issues exactly. This movie was shot between the Strikes, so i can understand why some stuff gets left out and some feels under baked. Like the ending exposition feels off
Because the x-men franchise has been ashamed of its comic book roots for a very long time. It also took Deadpool to give us a comic book accurate Colossus.
😂This captured my thoughts on the film perfectly! When it’s Deadpool 3 featuring Wolverine it’s a lot of fun and everything I want in a Deadpool/Wolverine movie. I love Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as these characters and they work excellently off each other. The action is very well directed, the acting all around is good, and the comedy works for the most part and I would say overall it’s a very entertaining and fun movie so for that I will give this a like. But when it’s multiverse of madness I felt underwhelmed. The cameos that were there didn’t really serve a story purpose for the most part. In No Way Home Tobey and Andrew enhanced the story and made it better and that’s not really the case here, it is cool to see the characters that do show up but that’s kinda all they do
Just came back from watching it! This movie demonstrated exactly how the multiverse should be utilised! It didn’t feel like fan service, felt like a love letter.
@PopsiCOLE what did he say that was harsh? Or do you feel that way because you enjoyed it more than he did and want him to confirm how you felt about the movie?
I never watch your reviews before watching the movie the same way I never watch trailers before movies I know I'm gonna watch. I already watched the movie, and while you did spoil some things for my taste I wouldn't have minded watching this before. You're getting so good at vague reviews. Love it!
I’ve noticed all the people who aren’t thorough long time fans of the Marvel movies starting with Blade are typically the ones giving this movie a mid or low score. This movie was full of fan service, shocking cameos, great jokes and wild action!
As a fan of Marvel since Ferrigno was Hulk, as well as a comic book reader, I thought the movie was just serviceable. Fun to be sure, but a good movie can be both meta AND have a good plot/story like Scream or Kick Ass. This played closer to Scary Movie or Superhero Movie: just an excuse for crude jokes and key jangling references of popular culture and IPs. And yes, not all cape movies have to or should be The Dark Knight or Watchmen, but I don't want Disney to think meta/near-spoof is the best new direction either...
Using Jeremy's ratings I would've given this movie an Awesomtacular. I grew up on FOX X-men and other heros. It always bothered me when MCU fans would shit on FOX. Like, yes, the MCU did it better. But I don't think the MCU would even exist if it wasn't for the groundwork laid out by FOX X-men, daredevil, Fantastic four and all the other random superhero movies. I felt like this movie was my chance to say goodbye to the superhero movies that helped raise me. This movie was a love letter to FOX superheros and a beautiful send off that we can be proud of.
Yo same! FOX crawled so the MCU can walk. But damn, now that you mention it, time sped by huh. 🥲😭 I could barely remember which of the FOX superhero movies I saw in the theatre! 😱😰😨
Fox Marvel legitimized comic book movies. The way they treated Blade, X-Men, and Spider-Man created the social foundation that the comic book industry built on. I always felt the first Blade movie was to comic book movies what The Little Mermaid was to the Disney animation renaissance- The seed that created a whole industry.
I honestly enjoyed both Deadpool and Wolverine's chemistry, it was clearly entertaining and very humorous as a whole, I am glad both Hugh and Ryan got to work together one more time even though we don't talk about X-Men Origins: Wolverine here.

Are you joking? They were just extended cameos and nothing more. It was the weakest part of the movie, that and the endless exposition.
And nothing cameos to boot. Not 1 xman from any of the past films? You’re high.
@@davidsamuelson2089 Idk what to say if you considered those ''nothing cameos''. Are you too young to have seen Blade? Never read x-men so you dont care about Gambit?

They're assholes who want the rage views and don't care how disliked their videos are.

Jeremy finally gets to do one without getting sloshed!
It’s been a while right?
Because we actually got a good film shocking right?

Great review. Well fucking said. Bub 😉

This is it, the level of comedy the general audience expects from a MCU movie...
Right some I expected others I did not & who came back I thought I was never gonna see again WOW this movie was freaking great.
Your right just avoid all trailers they can ruin so much in a film. However Deadpool and wolverine was one of the most unfunny "comedies" I'd ever seen
whatever it is… “her” cameos doesn’t really add up to the story. Feels like she had the least dialogue than other cameo. Kind of let down
Agree they were pretty cool. I would like to see a little more cameo centered fight scenes and actually brown suit fight scene wink wink lol
Get a hold of yourself
Face hurts from smiling. It's the kind of movie you'll have to watch a couple of times so you can truly appreciate each moment.

That's my own issue, problem - neither seems right choice of word, but Wolverine was so good, especially so as he began to reveal more about how he ended in such a bad state, that for the emotional weight, and seriousness of it all, then flipping back to full on Deadpool was quite jarring

Really accurate review. Watched it last night and really enjoyed it. Good fun.
When he put the mask on… oh my lord it was glorious. Really makes you wonder why he never wore it before
Because the x-men franchise has been ashamed of its comic book roots for a very long time.
In No Way Home Tobey and Andrew enhanced the story and made it better and that’s not really the case here, it is cool to see the characters that do show up but that’s kinda all they do
I figured much
Just came back from watching it! This movie demonstrated exactly how the multiverse should be utilised! It didn’t feel like fan service, felt like a love letter.
Exactly. Personally, I think Jeremy was a little harsh on this review. This movie was awesome man. Jeremy, better come out with the spoiler review.

The movie was just ok in my opinion. It’s a vehicle for Ryan Reynolds to tell jokes(many are funny), but the plot was paper-thin
Yeah the story made honestly no sense but it’s a hilarious flick
@@BuildinWings Agree 100%, I am going to watch Blade 1 and 2 this weekend, Damn I loved those movies!
