This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; a survival audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. My favorite stage was Shape of You in English, Spanish and isiZulu by Forestella. But Smooth Criminal became my best favorite for now. Usually they stand in the same order from left to right, Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist & rock vocalist with soprano falsetto voice), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, one of the semi-finalists from Voice Korea 2, rough-textured husky tone with R&B, Pop groove). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. Last year Ko WooRim said they met more than 300 days together in Phantom Singer All Stars behind interview but in a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in last year. So this explains how their perfection executed I think.

Loved watching this video!! You're right. Forestella is a crossover group with 2 operatically trained vocalists, one musical theatre artist and one untrained singer who used to be a chemical researcher. And guess who the untrained guy is? Yup, the high-pitched one in the beginning (Kang Hyungho)! The bass (lowest voice) and the 3rd in line are classically trained vocalists. And the 4th is a musical actor with a more pop, R&B feels to his voice. You might enjoy reacting to their 'Champions', 'Shape of You', 'and pretty much all performances from this show called 'Immortal Songs'. Looking forward to more Forestella videos from you!! :D

The original of this song 'hijo de la luna' by Mecano, a Spanish group (1 female and 2 males), was released in the middle of 1980. The second guy in the Forestella, is really talented cos he can handle from rock to classic. I'd rather call him a soprano than a countertenor. That's becuase his voice is really angelic in the high pitch like that of a soprano.
I’m fascinated by first reactions and yours did not disappoint. In August 2023 I heard Bohemian Rhapsody and some of their other great covers. THEN this song appeared and it made me their forever fan. I loved your reaction to Hyungho’s high counter-tenor voice and Woorim’s Bass Profundo. I watched some of your later videos first so I know you appreciate Mingyu’s tenor (he is my favorite) and Dohoon’s baritone/tenor.
