Invade-a-load! Was on a couple of games. The one i remember most was the re-make of "Exploding Fist".Not sure if it was Hit Squad or ricochet or something like that?
Absolutely brilliant.I loved this £1.99 game. The music sounds superb.I wonder...did anyone ever own a game called "suicide express" for the c64? I`d love someone to put that on here,as i recall that had some quality music too! Thanks for the nostalgia.Best wishes!
I would say this is more of a remastered version than the remix, but it's certainly not the original music from the game. I don't know who the user is trying to kid. Either way it's really well done and it gives me a nostalgic feeling. I knew this tune first from the Invade-a-load. If you want the original game tune type in "Commodore 64 Music - 005 - One Man and his Droid" into TH-cam.
Great game. Still, always wondered why the box cover had nothing to do with the game play lol. You weren't a man, you had no droid (as you were the droid) -and- there were no sheep. Not alone lack of a green field and blue sky! lol. Still, not that it matters. Ace game to go with the ace music.
@InfernalNightfaery This person speaks the truth. The person who made this track added some drum samples to improve the quality. the one mentioned above is in fact the original. And yes, it was used without permission for invade-a-load (but he WAS credited for it)
Sorry Shaddy but I was listening to the SID of this on Lemon 64 and this is different, it seems to have more instruments in it and some of the others are different.
This is in stereo with panning effects, etc. The 64 wasn't capable of stereo without an additional sid cartridge, and that cartridge was not exactly widely supported.
yay, thats great. I know that track from a cracktro loader of the amiga game desert strike, it is, i think. Wow this is original but drum and bass, great performance for the c64
The notes sound just a tad too clean for it to be a direct rip from a C64. There was always a hint of distortion with any SID music, which is not at all present here. Whatever has been done to reproduce this is phenominally accurate, I'm not sure how it has been achieved. But the actually C64 version isn't really any different, just a little less polished. You've got to have a good ear to notice though.
This does sound a bit like a subtle remix to me... but it could be due to differences in SID emulation or hardware SID chip. I've heard music played directly from a SID file sound very different depending on the playback engine//chip being used. For instance if it may have been written with the 6581 chip in mind but played back using an 8580, or if it was emulated, sound different just due to inaccuracies in the emulation software itself.
This is most definately a remix. Drums are digital for a start. To remove all doubt just listen to the in-game music on the other one man and his droid video on youtube.
I'm pretty sure I've heard this remix before. I had a cracked game on my Amiga 500, and the game loader, when it showed the "cracked by and shout-outs" screen, used this remix. I remember it distinctly because I loved One Man and His Droid on the C64, and was thrilled to find such a great remix of the music from some game cracking group (though they may have stolen it from the remixer). Wish I could remember what game it was. :(
Wasn't the best of games, I spent more time listening to the music than actually playing, it was well worth £1.99 for a budget title back then. It was amazing what a 1982 produced computer could do with it's well ahead of it's day 3 channel programmable sound SID music chip once Rob Hubbard started writing music for it.
It's not a remix? Somehow I forget how good the original sounds. All I have is some sorta-good MIDI file, and a decent MP3 version. Do you know where one could D/L a copy of this?
One of rob Hubbard s best tunes
It was worth 1.99 for the music alone.
Incredible polyphony on that poor little 8 bits S.I.D.!!!
Genius programming!

Absolutely one of the greatest Commodore SIDs ever made. Good mux (but should have faded at the end).

It's beautiful. It's how I want to remember it if it's not the pure C64 sound. I played the music more than I played the incomprehensible game.
The music made the game amazing.
one of best of c64's!
Great game.

Oh men, I love this tune!!! And I totally admire hubbard's scores!! :D

This doesn't seem to be original. It's a remix.... and a really good one.
*getting chills all over my spine*
This is a remix by Marcel Donné. It was an unused track made for his Sidologie album.
+VHS Headlines I don't really know. My guess is he didn't like that it's recorded on top of the original track?
It wasn't made for "Sidologie", it was made way earlier than that.
Well, it's stereo and more than 3 channels. Your ears will tell you it's not recorded from a C64. :) Still good.
remember it well mainly for the speech.. a Antony Crowther game, he was involved in some great games... phobia , zig zag etc.

one of the best hubbard tune. try it on half speed (youtube settings) - incredible!

"on the other" HEY! THERE'S DOZENS OF THEM! DOZENS! ... LOL

You are referring the the paradox crack for Desert strike.
"the "cracked by and shout-outs" screen" ... That's a cracktro! :D
I owned this game, and I promise you this was the real music.
Ahh, this was awesome. holy shit, its like a time warp.
Genius music, i love for true .
Damn, that's catchy.
It is an Amiga crack-intro remix. ;) It can be found on cracked Desert Strike or Canon Fodder 1/2... ;)
Any chance of doing a similar remastering of "Zoids" and/or "Master of Magic"? Those two were absolutely belting.
kick ass music !
holy shit balls this song is good
Sounds like Invade-A-Load.
3 years later and I still haven't been able to track down the remixer. :(
I really like it :) It's from my childhood.. This version rocks! :)
talkradar sent me.
this is awesome! is this soundtrack out there anywhere?
what's being done with this C64 music... awesome.
Strange. As fas as I remember I have ripped that personally from my C-64.
fat beat and bass!!
this music sounds like a mass invation is going on
it rocks
I really like this remix! (Oo! And first comment too) Thanks for posting!
Where'd you get this one?

thank you so much for this, I am jammin hardcore!!
Holy, wow
jesus, we do know that...
Nice version, richer sounds than on the original. You should have given credit to the remixer, though....
well ok if everybody says it's tha remix, then of course let's put the title correctly but I'm still surprised
@ShaddyShow nah it s not , original version is here : watch?v=D9CwsOOjNAo
Platypus 2 brought me here.
@leevandovsky111 i agree, too many channels
This is not the original, it's definitely a re-mix.
This is no remix. It's original ingame music.
Contact me on TH-cam via the message function.
You should give credit to the remixer. This is not the original c64 music. It's nice though.
good remix it's not the Original. checked with on a real c64 and an Original copy of one man and his droid
not the original, but maybe better.
That is NOT original.....voices and drums too complex...look up the original..totally different sound...someone is a talkin rubbish
