After watching this, I forced my jeweler (who is a well-known online jeweler) recently to give a better certification for a gemstone. They were shipping earlier some local/non-standard lab certificates but now they will give me at least an IGI certificate. How much certification costs typically are for gemstones? Is GIA too costly?

if you are in Kolkata then go to GSI, Kolkata. If you want to buy an untreated Ruby then see on the comment section of the report whether any treatment is mentioned on the report or not. GSI is a good laboratory in Kolkata.
