The date example was a huge help. I often miss out on social queues due to growing up with hardly any social interaction on top of potentially being autistic, and as a new server it helps that you're showing both sides.
@@RealServerTraining hi if you are able to upload more, I'm in the same position but worse... i need to know everything from servicing to kitchen hand work xD
I know it's an old video, but you never want to ask if they're still "working" on their meal. They're enjoying the food and experience, not clocking in to eat. Therefor, I find better verbs to use: Enjoying, savoring, relishing, etc. "Are we still enjoying our meal(s)?"
yeah we put this together because restaurants suck at training their staff -- will get more videos up soon covering all aspects of serving/ each stage of dining
I'm not going to lie to you, I do pile them 😅 but the big question is how do you avoid the forks, spoons and knives from falling? Regardless of how I hold the plates, they still fall from them from time to time, which is embarrassing 🙄
I never felt a welcome plate of food a few minutes before was an imposition when I was done eating. I think clearing plates is a subtle way of letting the patrons know it’s time to move along….
Lol so this is sooo useful im going from my nursing career to serving for a friend caterer! Thanks so so so much i appreciate your time and effort. God Bless you!
I think I have been putting too much weight on my pinky finger. Can do four plates pre bussed and keep it classy. I always put the knife through the fork prongs, work's well. I love to aggressively clear when the function guests must leave. Nothing is left. Blowing out candles says a gruff, " goodbye. Now."
wow never thOught about it like that. i always just thought you take an empty plate whenever. but thats very true about the other feeling rushed now.. THANKS!
@@RealServerTraining can't wait! I'd love more on opening wine, wine pairings, running super busy nights too. But I'd literally take anything else because the cinematography is just fcking awesome.
my restaurant has these plates in all irregular shapes and they be impossible to stack and i still be tryna stack them OH LORD SAVE ME. i mean this video did actually
Instead of open arm taking plates off of the table, shouldn't you walk around the the other side of the table to minimize reaching over your customer(which makes them feel uncomfortable). Now if you have a booth against a wall obviously you can't do that. But I was thought that you walk around the table to get their plates. And likewise for a round table.
yeah! absolutely walk around - this is more if we're against a wall/ booth or if it's just a super busy more casual restaurant. and ideally if I am reaching over guests, I serve guests on outside first so I'm not reaching over other plates.
I don't try to make people leave -- I'm just quick to get plates when they're done eating. This often moves them along but they can stay a while if they want.

Yeah that's valid
at a more casual place those words may sound silly though, "enjoying" is fine
This training is better then restaurant training tbh really helpful

Thank you so much. I’ve worked in a restaurant for one year without proper training. This video gives me a lot of confidence for my new job.
awesome glad this helped!

@@JonathanVanlol also good. maybe best
If there’s a little I hold it with my thumb along with my pilled plate

Guyssssss! Make more videos! These are so good. The cinematography is superbbb & the directions are very clear. We need more
I've been getting things organized! but yes many more coming.

New sub bro thank you so much for the information I’m binge watching all your vids keep it up 🔥

You’re a G. Very helpful info.

Thank you boss
1:56 you picked up the plate with the wrong hand
Very professional. 👍🏾
You are cool buddy.
Thank you!
Of course

can you make a serving drinks / refilling them please

the problem we dont fond a work 😅
Trying to make people leave after eating like that would be considered very rude in Europe
I don't try to make people leave -- I'm just quick to get plates when they're done eating. This often moves them along but they can stay a while if they want.
Not me enjoying the intro's soundtrack 😂
my frist day is tomorrow wish me luck people
At a formal restaurant you cannot clear any plates until everyone at the table is done.
Correct. This training is not for fine-dining -- more for an American style, nice, but relatively casual restaurant.
I want him to buss… never mind lol
What if I’m serving a bunch of hillbillies at a picnic and they’re using paper plates now that’s tricky huh!! 😄
Guys hammyd
This guy 🤣
2:28 "Working on???" I'm here enjoying a quiet night out with my GF...no work is involved. Eating is not work.
Your not there to push people out of the restaurant. Your in the wrong job
who said anything about pushing people out?
Why u saying “ight” like u black, say it the way u grew up saying it “alright”
how do you know what he grew up saying?
What's it to you?
Wtf
Bruh LMFAOO 💀💀
