    Tired of the global capitalism machine that is driving my depression I truely believe that’s a big reason.

      Yes always. I feel we always tend to blame ourselves or our circumstances. But many times, it's also just the intensity of the system that makes us feel what we feel.

      @@NehaTetali do you feel the Irish have trouble being vulnerable?

    • @NehaTetali
      @NehaTetali  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BrandonHilikus No, I don't think that's particular to the Irish. All over the world, we've been socialised to believe that showing vulnerability is a sign of weakness, so we hide it. And we end up showing the world that we have it all together instead of just being honest!

    Welcome to Ireland Neha! How are you doing now? Wow, what a brave and beautiful video. Fellow overthinker and former migrant. My family are Irish. They plus extended family like to converse about what they did, who is doing what, and what is planned next. They like to talk about family, friends, holidays, memories too sometimes. So they are quite clannish and parochial. They rarely/never discuss feelings, so you may be craving emotional connection. A feeling of being known, seen, welcomed, cherished, supported, loved, belonging. Good luck with your PhD. I tutored many international PhD students with their research and data analysis. They were here in Ireland 4-5 years. They all missed Ireland when they left, but mainly for those friendships/supportive people who helped them through the PhD and international student experience, and I miss them too. Life is to be shared, so thank you for sharing your experience here with us.

    It's soo beautiful too hear a entirely different versions of loneliness. Loneliness sometimes hit us badly and shatters us in peices but we've to collect those peices and find peace within... Sometimes loneliness comes to create a better version of ourselves.. they're our best friend in dark time. Thank you for sharing this perspective too Neha 🌺

    Everywhere could be lonely. But Europe’s weather and culture makes loneliness worse. I live in Europe and it’s great as a tourist place, but I realise it could be a really lonely place
