Hey that’s cool my dads family is from over there and dad was also half Scottish and my mom is from Glasgow Scotland ? I’d love to visit Scotland and Dublin and other parts of Ireland ? My dad would turn over in his grave if I didn’t visit his family’s native land he is from South Carolina like me? But sadly cancer got him before he could leave Ohio . and my mom is a hard working police woman.

We get a lot of Americans over here who’s great great grandfather came from the top of some mountain somewhere, fine but that doesn’t make you Scottish or Irish, so come visit us anytime but come as an American and you will have the best time of your life.

Irish population is getting taller each generation. I'm 197cm/ 6'4" and none of my grandparents were taller than 5'9". Now 197cm is outside the average but nearly everyone I can think of are taller than their parents.
The availability of food is the reason, famine isn't that many generations back then plenty of poverty thru the last century.

I came across his videos years ago. He has a few about Ireland that I enjoy. Y'all should check him out. Especially when he goes in depth about the sports. 😎
As African American man who has felt an unexplainable and unnatural calling towards the, Emerald Isle" and it's culture since he was 10 I have to say I have not been disappointed one bit by the small amount of people, music and culture I've come in contact with from Ireland.
I'm hoping to go the land itself for two - three months in a little over a year. I need to to go and see the rugged coast lines. Walk through the fields. Yes even feel the wind and rain against my back.
Above all else I need to sit with it's people share a laugh, swap a story or two and raise a glass.
Once that is done and I reflect on my time there and see that I'm not imagining what my soul has been whisper in my ear my whole life...
I may seek it to make it my home.
Who wouldn't want to go somewhere that the phrase, "Cead Mile Fáilte" exist. 💚

I remember living in NY years ago and some American actually thought that we only had little roads with grass growing up the middle, ironically i live on 1 of those roads now 😂 another American asked how long i had been in NY, i saw just a few months and they said "wow, you know english so well" just told him I'm a very fast learner, i didn't have the heart to tell him 😂. Know a man here in Ireland that used to do bus tours for Americans. He was bringing them round and stopped the bus, got out and started waving - as if waving people by - when he got back on they were curious and asked what he just did. He said "oh i was just letting the leprechauns cross" they completely believed him and thought it was great 😂😂😂

You Sir are now officially an honorary member of all things Irish and should be given the freedom of Dublin City.

Thank you for your video. The UK, per head of population, drink more than the Irish AND so do those in Poland, Russia, Romania and lots more. It's one stereotype that's very annoying. Explore the West and South of Ireland next time for a change. It's all lovely in fact. 👍🇮🇪

Also, Ireland doesn't have schillings. Irish had punts and pounds before the Euro.

I am so old I remember that we did have schillings before we had punts. We were tied to Sterling before we broke away, years later we went decimal, then Euro.
