I'm an Art History teacher, and I never show videos in my class because they're always so boring and dry. I am SO showing this to my class tomorrow- it's right up my alley. Thank you for making it, and great work!!
You do an incredible job with your videos and make them very informative, but still very fun! Thank you so much. I have used one of your videos for my elementary students. I'm now intrigued and checking out the other videos. So great!!
I really appreciated this video. However, I think factors such as war and disease had a more signifigant influence on the "darkness" of the middle ages. In fact, it's the church that sponsors a large part of the art /music in the Renaissance. People were just too busy tryin not to die to spend time reading, writing, imagining and creating. But of course, that is my opinion of what I've read. Thanks again for the great introduction.
This is the best overview I've seen. As a teacher and author of a fantasy book borrowing from Renaissance history, this is a perfect addition to my playlist.
Oh my god. I watched this because I was bored, but I left fascinated!!! Your drawings are BEYOND amazing! How do you draw like that with markers I'll never know!! That was so cool I watched it all 3 times in a row just to study the hand
A bit of Twice would have been more entertaining but it is fascinating, I agree...but.not when you have a test at school on it next day and you can't understand spellings!!
Great! I am looking for ways of teaching art history to kids in a comprehensive and entertaining way. Now, this is awesome! Pity, it is not translated in our language (Latvian). Thus it only serves as an inspiration for me to make something similar of my own. Thank you!
Never mind, I found it in the video "Nineteenth Century Art". Again, these are great videos as they incorporate humor and learning! Thanks for posting these!
true, but the artist here is already obviously confused, so I think it works out. I mean, if he can confuse one donatello with another, I think he can also confuse one turtle with another.
My good deed for the day is listing them for you :) All the names mentioned in order: Petrarch, Brunelleschi, Donatello, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Jan van Eyck, Albrecht Durer, Tintoretto, Parmigianino ending with Columbus, Gutenberg, Martin Luther, Copernicus and Galileo. Cheers, Euphrosene
The beginning music is William Tell overture by Rossini, while the ending music is In the Hall of the Mountain King (from Peer Gynt Suite) by Edvard Grieg.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 Friends, concerning the laws of God,we all have broken it,meaning that sin will send us to hell,no one has not sinned and no one is righteous to inherit heaven.but God,having the best love, sent His Son Jesus Christ to live a perfect life for us,He knew no sin,and that He was crucified for our sins, bearing all to Himself. He died and on the third day He rose again.Through Jesus Christ we can be forgiven for our sins and have eternal life,His grace is sufficient for us.He offers us salvation FREELY! He can give us redemption and even a right to become a child of God.God does not will for anyone to perish, but repent . And by His Son Jesus is the only way good works will not save you That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe with your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God sent not His Son to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. History teacher here - great video - perfectly illustrates what my art teaching friend was trying to explain to me
Donatello though, purple head band....lol but in any case love the humor used to explain the art periods:)

Ive been saying that lol
pros: amazing drawings cons: DONATELO IS THE PURPLE NINJA TURTLE NOT THE RED ONE
First of all, Donatello used a bow staff not a katana, that’s what Leonardo used
The humor and comedy in this video really makes it enjoyable to watch
Great work! Really helpful, funny and nice to watch. I love your drawings.
We used Renaissance music for the Medieval period. Trust me, it makes sense.
Captivating from beginning to end. Thank you.
I need this more often! HUMOR!!!!

Hey, can you do a video on Impressionism? Your videos are both informative and fun to watch, so I'd like to see one on Impressionism.
Never mind, I found it in the video "Nineteenth Century Art". Again, these are great videos as they incorporate humor and learning! Thanks for posting these!

Hello, I really need some help- what song is playing in the background at 1:15-3:13? It's been driving me crazy so any help is much appreciated!
Paul Dukas, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice".
Could anyone list the names of the men mentioned in this video? There are so many names that I could not get without the subtitles.
My good deed for the day is listing them for you :)
