I agree, 3 is the best option but it might be an interesting piece of world building to mount the turret from the 2nd option on the back of it. Maybe it’s a special variant or field modification to give the tank more firepower. Perhaps the rebels could have stole it too. Finally, one additional AT-DT in the repair bay could make the Imperial’s vehicle collection look more uniform
Option 3 is probably the way I would go, but that custom tank (option 2) looks really good. I like how the burnt out trees make some contrast, and all the colors are looking really good together!
i agree since Mimban was a battle that carried over from the clone wars a story where Cal is helping bring supplies to the rebels, the weapons could be from Hondo or Saw, i think Saw might be better since it's comforted in Jedi Survivor that Cal worked with Saw
Imperial Hoover Tanks would be best. They don’t need to be so detailed that it costs a hundred dollars. Just designing your own could be simpler and much cheaper
Random ideas: Have a rebel sniper in the water. When done with the trench add a rebel in the side of the moc digging to the trench. Make your own group of random Jedi and use them all or use a few. Experiment with plant designs and if you can’t choose have the viewers vote.
If you’re up for it, one addition that could add a little more action to the moc would be a tie bomber suspended with one of those long clear stick like holders. It could drop napalm like seen in the separatist firebombing of Ryloth in the Clone Wars TV show, maybe dropping it on the forest to root out rebels. If so, you could make it so half of the forest is burning while the other half is not.
Ethan - thank you for taking a moment with my guys at Brickfest to take a picture this weekend in front of their Mandalore MOC. They are inspired. Keep up the incredible work!
Mimban looks awesome!! I think you should use the hover tank as I quite like them, but the WWII style gun is a must have! Also, I only just noticed that there are shrubs on mimban, so if you add tan plants I think it will looks quite good! Hope you had a good Christmas and happy new year!
in that shot of the AT-DT being dropped in by the AT Hauler, you can see like a tumbleweed-looking shrub thing by it's left foot. I reckon for accuracy's sake include some tussocky bushes scattered around (like maybe 6064 in dark tan) just to add that extra level of detail and to fill in negative space
Really good work! Loving how Mimban is looking. I definitely think option 2 would be awesome but that imperial hover tank is really awesome as well and it would fit into the moc very well!
I'd say the Occupier tank (third option) would be cool to have. You already have it so it costs much less to fix and it's small enough to be added to the moc
Artillery in star wars is so cool, and really fits Mimban trench warfare. In the movie they also mention artillery..However, I think there should be hover tanks as well, to really lean into the WW1 vibe.
I like all the suggestions for the vehicles but I really think the fighter tank would work best here, and you could use it in other imperial Mocs since it’s such a versatile vehicle
the stuff you created for the moc so look good. plus its not a common moc I have seen other people build so that helps keep it refreshing too. yay to a new year.
I think the rogue one hovertank would look the best. Such a cool vehicle and I rarely see mocs with it, this would be a great way to get its recognition it deserves!
I wish you had the put a black plate under the grates. If you let the grates to not be covered up and allow light to come down from above that would add a great ambiance to the pit below
I think option 3 would be the best. One thing you could do is mount a turret like the one in option 2 on the back of the hover tank. I also have the set of option 3 and made the back an open troop seating area and put 2 big machine guns on the top for people to stand behind the seating area and fire forward. Kinda like how on ww2 Sherman tanks there was the 50 cal on the back of the turret for the guy to stand behind the turret and shoot
In my opinion, I think you should do the second and third but get to the beach and put it on either side of the jug so it makes it look like it’s been escorted out
So for the vehicles issues I found a fourth option. The custom imperial troop transports by Brickvault are a great option imo. They can serve all types of missions such as transporting mineral rich ore from the mines to another imperial outpost or off world, transporting troops to battle, or serving in a convoy with the turbo tank. They are very well armed and faster than the tanks. So if you need a fast vehicle, this should be a breath of fresh air from the normal speeder bikes. (Also they both hover if that was a criteria) my two cents:
Idea for your artillery walker: put it in a fixed position in the trench. Since it’s kind of a relic from the republic days it would probably be best used in a static fire support role. You could build a larger dug-in section where the vehicle and its operators are stationed.
Wow its looking good you should throw in Cal Kestis as the Rogue Jedi because he's time period accurate and just looks cool and I would recommend the hover tank because I think it would look good if you put muddy splashes on it.
I think vehicle number 3 is a good option. You could have it transporting cargo or maybe convert it into a medical transport trying to do an urgent evacuation from the front lines to a proper medical outpost (would be off screen from the moc). They did have stuff like this in WW1 with ambulances. If you wanted more creatures in the moc and use the medical evacuation idea, maybe have some pack animals pulling a hover cart with some wounded soldiers away from the front. I think some more stuff in the water would look nice maybe a dead rebel or imperial from a recent attack
Canonically, I think the Mimbanese actually used stuff like Trebuchets, not tanks. They were closer in tech level to the Ewoks as far as artillery goes, which makes it all the more impressive how long the battle went on.
@@coconutbricksstudios I mean, the clone army once fought there, a scavenged clone walker or tank could be cool, with like mimbanese camo and paint job
Please have a kitchen in the base. In cannon Casian andor was captured after he attacked a few clone troopers he was sent to minban were he worked as the cooked until he escaped. Love the channel keep up the great work!
At the bottom of the elevator by the landing pad I think that it would be a good idea if you added some sort of little hover transport thing like we see the rebels use in A New Hope so that no Imperial officials have to hike through the mud.
For the vehicles I think you should do the last two options. And for the imperial tank there should be some cheaper options (At least in terms of instruction cost) on Rebrickable. I think putting the cannon inside of a fox-hole would be VERY cool! Even though it will take up more space I think it will be worth it!
Hey, a man has fallen into a pit of acid in Mimban… joking… but this Mimban overview was great I’ve just got round to noticing the Mimbanese in your last vids and your choice of animals were great. Although I love the fact you used the hover tank from R1 (rogue one) it looks fire 🔥. Hope you have an awesome 2025 transition. It’s been a great year of building bases and Mocs for you and I personally can’t wait for what u come up with in 25, so with that said ‘HAPPY NEW YEAR COCONUT’
@ found the quote from the legends page “Standard configuration UT-ATs also featured four anti-personnel turrets in the rear of the craft, although variants featured supplies to bolster the vehicle's standard bomblet generators, while others stored temporary bridge equipment and kits. This configuration would allow UT-ATs to forge a path over unsteady terrain while placing a suitable track for the heavier walkers”
Option 2. Or if you don’t want to buy a bunch of pieces to make one, if you have any of the 2022 Lego fighter tanks if you have any and use other pieces to re-color it, like replacing the red with dark gray.
An alternative small vehicle idea for you. You could remodel the ISS platform (republic swamp speeder) into an imperial variant. It would be perfect for the muddy terrain of Mimban.
You should add some AT-RTs with imperial markings since the mud-troopers would likely have been given the surplus republic vehicles or maybe on of the unique vehicles from the Force Unleased games
You should add some AT-PTs (All Terrain Personal Transport, not to be confused with the AT-AP All Terrain Attack Pod or the AT-DP All Terrain Defense Pod) basically an AT-RT with an enclosed cockpit and "hunched shoulders" first appeared in the second book of the original Thrawn trilogy: Dark Force Rising.
Happy new year coconut! Not sure what happened to my comment on the last episode, but maybe you could add some 5 by 6 dark gray girder pieces to the back of the landing platform's elevator? All in all, great progress like usual
This is shaping up so good Ethan! I like the idea of the mobile mortar platform paired with some light hover tanks on the flanks...some completely burnt out trees using only black elements would see the whole wanton destruction of trench warfare IMHO... anyway, happy New Year my dude! ✌️❤️🌮's
For the footprints you should use the half 1x1 round and plate tile and turn it upside down I’ve used it before and really like it but you might not just a suggestion
the hovertank would be great, it would be expensive, but im sure theres some mocs on rebrickable that arent that expensive part wise, and do definitely use the hovertank from rogue one that you found, make one more even!
Almost in favour of option 1 but for option 2 there are also other great options of imperial hover tanks that are not brick vault and less expensive you can find a lot of them on rebrickable.

Oh man, Mimban already looks so fire! Also, I think you should use vehicle nr. 3, the hover tank from Rouge 1, I love it's design.
Number 3 4ever
It's a good option!
i think having 2 or 3 of them would be a good idea

Mimban looks great man. I'm glad ya taking your time, avoid that burn out!
Indeed, now that I have my next project picked I want to speed things up a bit!
Imperial Hoover Tanks would be best. They don’t need to be so detailed that it costs a hundred dollars. Just designing your own could be simpler and much cheaper
I might try recoloring the Republic tank.
I like the idea of using the imperial fighter tank. I've seen versions on Rebrickable too.

It was great to meet you all! Thanks for saying hi, you and your boys put on a show with your mocs!
You should definitely use option 3. It just fits and isn't too big. It's gonna need some maintenance though

Idea for your artillery walker: put it in a fixed position in the trench. Since it’s kind of a relic from the republic days it would probably be best used in a static fire support role. You could build a larger dug-in section where the vehicle and its operators are stationed.

they had artillery, it was mentioned in the official solo guide book. They also had scavenged CW blasters
I like to think there were a couple old tanks and stuff thrown in as well!

Hover tanks definitely
I think you should add some tunnels later under the wasteland for the rebels to nfiltrate the base
I've got a tunnel on one side, see week 1 for details.
I love the mimbain campaign, my favorite Imperial battle
The imperial assault hover tank from rouge one looks the best
You should go with option 3.
Great update like always can't wait to see Mimban done

I think one hover tank an two of those transports would be cool. And add some of those imperial Tents.
This is great but one thing I really dislike is when moc builders don't connect the pieces and just lay them down.
For the vehicles I think you should do the last two options. And for the imperial tank there should be some cheaper options (At least in terms of instruction cost) on Rebrickable. I think putting the cannon inside of a fox-hole would be VERY cool! Even though it will take up more space I think it will be worth it!

Love your stuff dude! For the imperial tank, just recolor the republic one!
Also I like the new upload schedule. The in between videos you've been uploading are really good too!
As far as the Jedi, maybe Jedi Bob 😂
That's a good idea, that would save me a bunch of money!
Looks great! Keep on building!
You could use that muddy Mauser as a gun for Mimbanese rebel. Orrimaarko's gun in ROTJ was basically kar98

The UTAT actually can be fitted with bridge laying equipment according to wookipedia, you could repurpose it for your bridge
That's cool, I didn't know that.
@@coconutbricksstudios I wrote out what vehicles the new republic should use post sequel and the UTAT is perfect for combat engineers.
