Blade Nano S2 Flight Modes and How it flies with Coe Show

  • This is a video of what to expect from your new Nano S2. If you read the manual you probably noticed how strange the programming is, if you've ever programmed any other helicopter. The throttle curves and pitch curves are correct. Do what the manual says. I crashed on my first flight in Normal mode because I wasn't ready for it to balloon up and be slow to come down. If you can fly helis, just go to center stick and click into stunt 2. Oh yeah, I don't have throttle hold in stunt 2 for some reason, so if I crash I hit hold and flight mode switch at the same time. Hold works in normal and stunt 1 basically. I don't usually crash, so it doesn't bother me... Happy flying. "Whoever gave this thing a 1 star review on Horizon is a bonehead." Could not agree more. Just got a Nano S3 (Coming from an old Walkera)... And wow, what a fun to fly little heli!! Stable and learner friendly, yet agile and spicy for when you want to grow. Already crashed a few times, and ZERO DAMAGE (nice thing about these micro helis). Love it. Best $100 ever spent!

Great video. Today I managed about half of what you were doing there on my S3. My space isn't as small as your yard area there and your skills keeping it contained are extremely impressive. I'd be stuck in the hedge or fetching it from the street on a mishap. How you pull off those perfect collective flips in any orientation is just super impressive. I love the Nano. The last one was a CPX and this "3 versions later" heli is smoother and with piro comp its a game changer!

Throttle hold works on ix12 if you dial hold down to -130.

With every passing edition, the Blade Nano remains 1. The best trainer on the market, 2. The best micro on the market, 3. The best all around heli for pilots of ALL skill levels who are on a budget, 4. The best indoor helicopter on the market, 5. The best indoor "sized" micro for being able to fly it OUTDOORS (if you want to) on the market.

Enjoying your videos. I got my first CP heli, an S2 for Christmas and have a question... It drifts in stability mode but is good in stunt 2. I have tried the calibration but it still is drifting forward and to the left. And again the drift is only when stability 1 or 2 is on. How often do defects occur in the gyros? Any tips? Also, it seems as if it has way more negative pitch than positive also... I have it bound to a DX6. Learning much from your videos.

Man I came back to this video today as this was the video that made me get into heli’s. Some of your other videos you talk about how it’s a dying trend since drones basically took over. I bought the nano s2 after years of messing with the blade msr/mcx/sr Then I picked up the nano s2. A completely little beast. I was skeptical about the nano s2 as it has been awhile since I bought a new heli. Saw some reviews on it and kinda let me down. Came across this video and ever since I’ve been hooked. Had the xk100 xk110 (not blade). Now I have nano s2, blade 230s v2 and the fusion 270. Today I just had the fusion 480 kit arrive. Hopefully working on it and building it tomorrow. I’m no where near as good as I wish I’d be but When I want to get better I sit back and watch your videos for motivation. I’m too here in California, not San Diego but San Jose. Keep up the great videos as I love to always share them with my friends and family:). Stay safe and god bless.

It's funny but he said you can put it in mode 1 and if you want to "just fly around and get used to the collective". if you're a beginner, just doing that is not easy. I'm just learning how to hover it in different orientations. Great video though - very helpful. I didn't really understand these modes until recently.

What is your output on the gear channel in each flight mode? It’s so weird. Like the gear channel controls throttle. So confusing.

Wow, the Nano has really come a long way. I had the nano cpx way back when and I thought it was a nice heli even then. If I'm not mistaken, the nano cpx was the precursor to the nano S? Anyway, amazing skills on your part too. Made me want to pick up a nano S3 for those rainy days. Best regards from Brasilia, Brazil.
