❤. We're leaving Pawley Island in a few days (just north of Georgetown)I'd like to say that we'd be right on your tail haha but we are slooow.Maybe we'll see ya at an anchorage😊
You’ll probably catch me in Charleston 😂 I’ve been headed south for 2 months and only have 600nm or so to show for it… I’m easily distracted 🤷🏻♂️ Hope to cross wakes somewhere soon!
Thank you Please keep us in tune with your route south. I have interest in a good way south from charleston. Merry christmas where will you be for newyears? Be safe
I might stay in Charleston through the new year, I might swing over to Beaufort SC? I’m not sure at the moment. Ideally I’d like to straight shot it to West Palm but weather is finicky. Well ideally I’d shoot to Bahamas from here but I need build up the cruisin kitty a bit more first
Thank you, glad you enjoy! I do not motorsail with the hydrovane. The prop wash pushes the rudder hard over. It would be possible to connect an autotiller to the hydrovane’s tiller and use it like that (would help in light winds too). If my motor’s on, I’m hand steering 👍
Thanks for the info Visual and stuff. And where to find a free dingy doc. I didn't try to reference peoples videos for locations to go. Let me know if. You find a food bank With free food. Those are always nice. Good job on the video. Now fifteen minute naps, Does Nothing for your Beauty sleep dude.:-) So long and thanks for all the fish.
Interesting, Looked like good fun except the bloody fog, glad I have radar. I have to decide whether to ICW or open water my new to me boat from Maine down to the FL. Or depending on my Oncologist, just go the opposite and head to the Azores and Eastern Med (my home waters so to speak) and start my East to West circumnavigation there, decisions decisions. Not familiar with US East Coast Sailing, let alone the ICW. Need to do a bit more research me thinks.
Ah sweet boat! I’ve been aboard a few; a 33, 37, and 44. Sadly haven’t gotten sail on one but I’ve heard they’re a great ride. My vote would be head south to Florida/Bahamas (it’s warm down there). There are parts of the ICW I really enjoy and parts that suck so bad you’ll you’ll wonder why you didn’t go offshore and beat into 30kn instead 😂 The ICW also takes a loooong time. If you watch my video where I crewed on my friends island packet you’ll see. We were shooting for a 4 day offshore trip but the weather forced us onto the ICW for most of it and it took 16 days
Had to look up broach. Pretty calm description of an intense night sir. Hats off
Oh I was anything but calm when it happened. It was a rough night. But exhilarating as well! Having a positive attitude gets us into port ✊
Great video, enjoy watching ❤❤❤
Thank you!🙏
Hey man, thanks for taking us along. Love your spirit 👍👍 Wishing for sunny days and smooth anchorage ❤️🙏

Thanks! Shoutout to @kaptainkendra for showing me how to create it with the TravelBoast app
Videos never do it justice. We had similar seas. At least they were following.

What kind of work you looking for@@SailinWithTrout
Eh whatever comes my way. No bottom scraping until I get to warmer/clearer water though 😂
Im very close to you if you need a ride or help with somthing@@SailinWithTrout
Go on deck
Enjoying your videos! Do you motorsail with the Hydrovane, or just use it when sailing purely by wind?

Brittlebank park is a great spot, fair winds!
I'll have you know, after you put out your last video, I broke a belt on my generator, and on my suv. My neabors brok one on their main engine
Oh damn! Bad things happen to good people 😢 I hate engines…
Nice thumbnail
Thank you 🙏

All good options! What kind of boat are you on?
@@SailinWithTrout I just acquired a CSY 33, she was featured on Bootfools Sailing just over a month ago.

That being said you don’t have to do one or the other. Plenty of places to dip in and out like I’ve been doing
