Hell yesssss, Winn!!! Bless Your Heart is amazing! The audiobook was AMAZING! The voice actor did such a great job. I’m from the US south and it was endearing hearing it. I cannot wait for the second!
AHHHH YAY RAVEN BOYS STAN!! i only found you recently and I'm THRILLED about your thoughts on this series and Maggie's writing - i could not agree more!! One of my fave writers of all time for this reason!! ❤❤🎉 Also NOAHHHH ❤❤❤❤ one of my faves too ❤
My favourite book this year was The Dry by Jane Harper. I found it in the used book store and was like, "Hey, isn't this one one of my favourite booktubers (you) recommended?" Oh boy, I loved that book!!!!!
🧀 I think my favorite book of 2024 was The Starless Sea. I loved the writing and it had so many elements I love, mystical libraries, doors that shouldn't exist, dreamlike events and mood...
i think the raven cycle will be on my tbr this year. I know multiple people that love it, and now you've mentioned it as well! my fave book of 2024 was absolutely The Prospects by KT Hoffman. a queer trans sports romance filled with laughs and love and mental health/disability rep, and the first romance that ever made me feel truly seen. I will forever cherish it and im begging everyone to read it
🧀🐁 I also picked up Luckiest Girl Alive after loving Bright Young Women and tbh, I think that is the correct reading order. I personally was glad to have that established trust in Jessica Knoll going in because when she started talking about topics in ways I would otherwise DNF over I KNEW she had to be going somewhere with it, and she was. It’s a brutal book but I love what she did with it. Don’t bother with the movie, the story has had all its teeth removed, and so has Ani. I’ve had Bless Your Heart on my list since you first mentioned it so thanks for the reminder!! My personal favs of 2024 were Heir by Sabaa Tahir and Northanger Abbey by Miss Jane Austen Herself.
"do you have a plan?" I swear I say that to my cat like every dang day🤣 Most of my top books this year were also in a 'lump' but if I had to pick just one I think my favorite was Radiance by Catherynne M Valente. Absolutely beautiful and weird as heck in the best way
I loved WotM too! My favorites for '24 were the Kate Daniels series and the Hidden Legacy series by Ilona Andrews. They led me to other Urban Fantasy authors - Benedict Jacka, Anne Bishop and Faith Hunter. Do you like legal thrillers? Greg Iles is my favorite of those. The Quiet Game was so good!! 🧀
My favorite book is definitely cheese! 🧀 Seriously though, I had an amazing reading year. These were my all stars. All About Love: New Visions by bell hooks Come as You Are by Emily Nagoski All the Black Girls Are Activists by EbonyJanice Moore The Prospects by KT Hoffman You Should Be So Lucky by Cat Sebastian Front Dest by Kelly Yang Bitter by Akwaeke Emezi Pet by Akweke Emezi James by Percival Everett Sky Full of Elephants by Cebo Campbell They Were Roommates by DC Emerson Outdrawn by Deanna Grey Hijab Butch Blues by Lamya H The Charm Offensive by Alison Cochrun Welcome to the Hyunam-dong Bookshop by Hwang Bo-Reum with Shanna Tan (Translator) The Breakaway Series by E.L. Massey
I clicked so damned fast there were skidmarks on my desk and my mouse might be smoking.🧀

Winn! I was just about to go to sleep. I now have to consume content.
best book: somewhere between mistborn, stormlight archive and the bone season

I’m notorious for being a silent TH-cam watcher so it’s my goal this year to always leave the requested emojis! 🧀 🧀

I bought In Memoriam during the year and I don't think I'm ready for the emotional damage
the american publishers really did a disservice to Bless Your Heart and In Memoriam, the covers you posted are way more interesting.
I'm 3 mins in and am guessing one of the Red Rising books is number 1. 😅
