    🙏🙏

    Nice video as always. It would be great to see video where You show what should we look when buying used Tenere 660. What are possible malfunctions and how to detect it, questions for owners and so on. There are probably few peoples planing to buy this bike, and that kind of video would be very helpfull, I know it would to me. Cheers

    In the real world a 650 is all you need for adventure, especially on a budget, cheaper to buy, run and repair and they last forever if they are made in Japan.

    I had this bike for 4 years. Completely stock... No changes... Liked very much... At the end, I sold it for 2 reasons : 1- I needed more power on the highway 2- it was just too heavy for off road... I use to travel alone much, and this bike was just becoming heavier to me to lift by myself , when falled down... In one occasion the weight factor was cause of a broken bone... So, I sold it and replaced by a light weight Honda xre 300, for off road. World of difference

    This was the bike I wanted when I got back into riding a few years ago. I was really disappointed to learn it wasn't available in the US. On a related note, the long delay in getting the T700 is just as disappointing. It had sure better be an awesome bike when it finally hits our shores next year.

    I have bought a 600 Transalp from 1994 2 weeks ago. The ride is not bad, but I need a higher seat and a higher windshield. Furthermore I'd like to rise the chassis a few cms. Let's see if I can make it a proper adventure bike...

    Changing the stock exhaust like you did is the only major modification I'm considering. I love the RogalXL you recommended, but the CoG also got higher, so that's why I'd like to shave off some weight. Yet, the exhaust change implies remapping/powercommander, too :/
    Anyways, keep the useful videos coming Pavlin, cheers!

    That seems a crazy place to put that resovoir, and a crazy way to secure it too - shows
    not even the Japanese are beyond making a mistake from time to time.
    [i.e. if over tightening means risking splitting the plastic]
    Think I'd want to look at finding a mod to cure that.
    And, that pretty much means you have to find some bars to protect it - which to be
    fair a lot people might do anyway. Niggles, yes. But it wouldn't put me off buying one.
    Wonder if this has been corrected on the new 700?

  • @charliem5332
    @charliem5332 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can anyone please tell me if a higher wind screen would stop the wind noise and buffering around my head? Or does it have anything to do with draft coming up through the forks? Strangely if I stand up at 90km per hour the buffering disappears. I’d appreciate any feedback from those of you who have experienced the same. The Tenere is my first bike and I love it.

    • @motorcycleadventures
      @motorcycleadventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It might reduce it a bit, but it also could become worst. The buffeting is created from the vacuum behind the screen, not from the wind coming into the screen.

      yes, it looks a good deal too. About 8.5 k sterling, which is a good price compared to the likes of the Africa Twin. I missed out years ago on the XTZ750 super tenere, I owned a 660 for a while and really couldnt complain about it...just the thought of a twin cylinder motor has always appealed to me.

  • @queenslander954
    @queenslander954 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very average suspension, just like the KLR 650 & DR 650 ,but it does have water cooling , fuel injection and roller rockers so the achilles heal of big singles (valve train) has been taken care of plus the Camshaft runs on roller bearings instead of just spinning on the head like the other two .. , the XT660R is even better than the XT660Z Tenere because it’s almost 30 Kgs lighter. Great Motard , Adventure & Trail-bike , but hardly a serious Enduro bike.
