All I know is that when my chiropractor did dry needling on me because I have a torn herniated disc I went through the freaking ceiling because of the pain! I am going back in today for another treatment and I'm hoping it's not going to be as bad as torn disc is taking a long time to heal.

My shoulder and traps are KILLING me 3 days after treatment. My pinched nerve in my neck is present still. I’m in worse shape than when I first went in.

nothing works for everything and bummed to hear it didn’t help your shoulder. there is significant evidence dry needling works in many situations. you can’t arbitrarily base the success of anything on one experience, good or bad. There are a lot of factors at play as we are applying a stimulus and allowing the immune system to react. So, amongst other things, a lot depends on how well a persons immune system is working, the type of injury, and how they specifically manage inflammation.
i can tell you i have successfully treated many people with shoulder pain with needling. one of our therapists just got an awesome review working on a gentleman with bilateral shoulder pain. of course, i have had also had people where it doesn’t work. with that said, I’ve been treating people for over ten years, and i would most certainly consider it before a surgery or injection. There is research to back my claims and i’m happy to provide systematic reviews if you’d like.

If you look at this TH-cam channel and know what real dry needling is youll see VERY quickly these people have absolutely no idea what they're doing.
