On any missions where Caital gives me backup or I drop in to join them, I watch their backs as if they were my own forces and fight on the front lines with them.
Like the Valus she sends to help on the moon, I make sure he doesn't get bodied by the Ogres.

kind fcked up story wrote cabal got screwed we never gonna visit their home planet I always thought we fight them on their home turf and never expected them become allies also I thought they only cared about war but it turns out not true
We never did see a death in the witch queen that spoiler alert was hinting at I think you just found it though. Caital might be who spoiler alert is referring too which is a bit of a disappointment.

Caiatl is such a real one, god damn. Ever since she bodied that psion I just love every interaction with her
Caiatl is one of the best damn characters in the entire series. The fact that we got to have so much interaction with her as a villain, and now as an ally really helped bungo to create an incredible character

I love how Zavala asked the question of who will raise a monument when the last cabal blood has been spilled. I like it even better when Caiatl said you. This shows that there is more than a mutual respect between two leaders. Their is trust and she trusts Zavala more than anyone of humanity, with the exception of us the Guardian.
Zavala is bassicly a honourary cabal at this point. I think there was a thing where back in chosen if we lost to ignoven zavala would of had to become a primus or something

She does have a point. We guardians who can't die (unless our ghosts die) will mourn the death of the lightless Cabal who fought at our side, even if it feels weird since it was the Cabal who slaughtered so many (lightless) guardians during the red war.

I also had deep stone lullaby start playing, I had to get up for a minute and take it in because I was thoroughly shook… Bungie did great with this one

This has become a strength for Bungie: Characters evolving. Every time now that we are introduced to a new character, It makes me excited for coming weeks to see how they interact and evolve throughout. Caiatl started as an arrogant leader trying to unite Cabal and make Zavala bow before her, and now she sees him as something of an equal and practically asks him to remember her people when they are gone. And to think this change happened in a span of few seasons.
Actually, she never was arrogant, the lore books reveal that her asking for zavala to bow was a complete act in order to keep herself from seeming like a strong leader, if this risk wasn't a thing she would have simply asked for an alliance

@@numbjuhnu If I’m not mistaken but the seasons sort of act like several gaps in terms of time. Some of the dialogue between Saladin and Crow mention Saladin saying something along the lines of crow wrestling with a lifetime of Uldren’s experiences and a few years of his own, implying in the few seasons we’ve known crow the man has gone through a couple years in game while only being a year or so for us? (When did Season of the Hunt come out again?)
Sure it may seem like months for us but for in-game per say it might’ve been much longer, years maybe, in between seasons!
@@MrTJCM6 Saladin implied to the time Uldren was resurrected, which happened in Forsaken. So Crow has been a Guardian for over 3,5 years now. There are few Lore pages that tell his journeys during the Forsaken - Season of Arrivals period.

This is one of my favorite dialogues between Caiatl and Zavala... it shows that they've each started to see the others' people as their own.
I love how the first half of the transmission is them talking like two best Friends talking on the phone. Gossiping and complimenting one another
The alien alliances in this game are hands-down the best part of the story after years of bloody war with them. I hope we get a hell of a lot more of it in the future

BTW to anyone that is curious, a primus in cabal hierarchy as far as we know leads a single legion of cabal. Evocate General can be appointed in this echelon of primus's, an Evocate General is basically leader of the cabal military which is also the rank below the current Emperor/Dominus

From what I can gather she commands zavalas lust from an Imperial Land Tank outside of nessus. She's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those thick cabal thighs and take this sexy beast out for dinner

It makes me so happy that Caiatl is such a big part of the story now, and has been a key factor in the majority of the seasons since her first appearance.

Damn this season story content is such a banger, but boy this was depressing and bleak. We might be seeing the last of the Cabal fall in the future. 10/10 character development.

Moments like this are why the first mission of Witch Queen pissed me off so much. Caiatl is a trusted ally by this point in time. Why in the world were we so quick to kill her soldiers just for setting up a cannon to attack the hive with? They weren't even attacking us first. We initiated the attack
Well in All honesty they did attack first if you approach. But thats like entering a secret and restricted área irl. You're bound to get shot.
The way I see it, my Titan requested access and was denied. She requested to speak to Caitil directly and was denied, so she gave them a choice: stand down or she'd defend herself while she tried to get onto Savathun's ship. When she was denied a third time and told to get lost, her next words were "Tell your boys I'll see 'em in five." and cut coms.
When I think of it that way, it makes more sense as to why Caitil was upset but then quickly forgives us or gives it a rest.

@@cybernurgle6413 We will never have other playable races. Simply think about armor, if nothing else. Currently, we have armor for 3 classes, and one Gender each. That makes 6 different versions of each armor set. Eliksni and Cabal have drastically different Body sizes and structures, and would require individual armor sets for each class and Gender too. Its just unfeasable.
Plus, cabal need entirely new weapons, since human weapons are just too small for them, etc etc
I believe we will get Fallen and Cabal lightbearers in the lore, but not playable.

@@centimanj8916 eh I'd argue eliksni are pretty similar to humans in terms of their body shape, I mean if you take away an eliksnis lower arms it pretty much has the exact same silhouette as a human, but yeah cabal wouldn't really work

First as Braccus Forge, now Valus Forge, and later Lord Saladin becomes Primus Forge.
While this was a deep conversation, I am a bit worried about the future of the Cabal, with them being confirmed to be a small fraction of what they once were, they may not get any opportunity for their own future DLC which they can show new units or lore, my only hope is if they do, they would at least get a Psion DLC via the Conclave with a sub-faction of Psions like the Scorn for the Fallen or the Taken for the Hive.
Just thinking as this was brought up on another DLV video... other races getting the Light... maybe with the Cabal's dwindling numbers as out allies they become Lightbarers?

I want to see more of the Cabal in season of the Risen, the trailer showed Guardians fighting alongside Cabal, this makes me sad for Caiatl, I want her Empire to survive, I like her, her character is respectable, and I’d like to see her people earn their vengeance against Xivu Arath, but I want to see Savathûn again, she betrayed the Witness, their allies, and the only Hive who still serve her are her Lucent Hive, maube after awhile they could show an alliance between Lightbearers of all races, maybe the Traveler will grant the Light to the Cabal Empire, the House of Light, Variks, and that could add to the Lucent Hive. I’m excited for what comes next, and The Witness and Xivu Arath now empoly the full might of all remaining Hive Broods formerly loyal to Oryx, Crota, and Savathûn(with the obvious exception of The Lucent Hive), the Taken, and the Scorn. I think an alliance between the Witness’ enemies will be awesome, I hope Imarru revives Savathûn, but this time they could join forces, Xivu Arath will be trying to kill Savathûn, giving her a permanent death for her defection, I want to see that alliance

Hate to say it, but Caiatl has beaten out Mithrax as my favorite alien character. Absolute badass, honorable and determined to a fault, having learned from the failures of Calus and Ghaul.

I thkn Destiny typically handles characters kind of poorly, but man, the more I see of Caiatl, the more I get pumped. I loved Calus because of the personality and grandeur he brought to the table, but man I'm starting to like Caiatl just as much if not more than Calus. Love seeing her fleshed out in these.

Everyone hear that chuckle in Caiatl's voice? If she likes us being fired out of cannons, part of me thinks she'd like the Jackass movies.
She may have been upset that we killed loads of her Warriors, but she seems to be rather impressed that we had the guts/ tusks to launch ourselves Doom style out if the cannon.
Something tells me that the Cabal would be iffy on if they would do the same.
