Tedeschi Trucks Band’s Layla Revisited (Live At LOCKN'), is a one-off live recording of the seminal Derek & The Dominos album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, performed in its entirety with special guest Trey Anastasio. Recorded on August 24, 2019 at the LOCKN' Festival in Arrington, VA, Layla Revisited captures Tedeschi Trucks Band at their incendiary best, with Anastasio proving the perfect foil to the transcendent musical union of guitarist Derek Trucks and guitarist/vocalist Susan Tedeschi, and frequent TTB collaborator Doyle Bramhall II.

There is so, so much going on here. The Allman Bros. Influence is so evident....the 2 drummers, the duelling, and sometimes contrasting guitar solos. But, add a horn section, and the voice of a blues angel, well.....this changes it up somewhat. All I know, is that with the combination of old and new, my ears just love this band, and the hair on my arms rise whenever I listen to them.

Seen the Allman Brothers Band 17 times since 1983 from MI to Fla..Could never get enough of the unique sound..Saw Derek play in a small bar (Gators) in Prt Charlotte, Fla.. 1995 when he was 13..What a thrill..I new he was special!!!

Agreed. I will never miss a live stream of theirs. I live in ontario canada so its unlikely i will ever catch one of their shows but i atleast watch and listen if they are streaming

@@cameronwalshguitar seen them three times at different venues and let me say this....if you can its worth it to catch a plane for sure...they'll eventually stop touring ....my favorite touring band, i make plans everytime they come close to Colorado...

I’m in my seventies and I remember my aunt’s friend singing this song when I was a little girl. It was one of my favorites; an “oldie but goodie”. Great job!💕🎵🎶🎸🎶
It is really a timeless tune. I like to fingerpick it the old fashioned way on acoustic, but i play it this clapton style way on an electric
