Finally you're the only other comment I've seen beside mine that said this, they've been scripted what to say, clearly he's not ready & it's not the nepotism that's the problem but it's the way it was done by his agent & LeBron, & as a Laker fan I want a player that helps the team win a championship
I think the point they are missing here is that we have always known the corporate world was based on nepotism and relationships… but we have always held sports to a different standard. Sports have always been a meritocracy, and if we lose that… then there’s really no point in trying.
This is such an overblown aspect. This is an extremely rare and once-a-generation type of scenario. It will not have any bearing on the NBA as whole. This is and will be an isolated incident that requires extreme circumstances….plus nepotism. Doc trading for his son and giving him a big contract. Giannis keeping his brothers in the league and on his team. None of these specific incidents means anything in the grand scheme of the nba.
This is 100% not true. There have been better players that got a shot in the big leagues or even in college because of who they knew, or who they're related to. If you don't know this, then you don't know sports well enough.
Sports haven’t been a meritocracy lol. Gilbert arenas said he used to cook starting line up when he played for the warriors but they wouldn’t let him start

The Griffey's, Prince Fielder getting drafted and others is that those players looked like they could be superstars when they were picked and in a lot of cases they were. But with Bronny we haven't seen too much to say hes going to be good, but I dont have any issue with it. If i was Bron, i would've done the same thing. Newsflash: a 4 point per game undersized guard with a heart problem would be back in the ncaa if its name wasn’t James. End of story.
Moving Bronny to the 2nd round was a calculated move. If he gets drafted in the 1st round he’s gonna get exposed for 3ppg in 30min. 55th pick in the 2nd round gives them the excuse to say, “what do you expect from a late 2nd rounder” but if he pans out, they can be like I told you so. If he wasn’t the one of the best on his high school or college teams while putting up horrible stat lines. do we expect him to come to the NBA and miraculously become better?
Obviously not, his entire resume is fabricated. Do a deep dive into his high school career. You'd see he was already being moved liked a professional. Klutch/Bron paws all over it. He's not even in control of his own socials, the answers he gives to the media are clearly rehearsed.
My issue is the overwhelming coverage of it and how Incredible it is for the lakers and all the garbage. I dont care he was picked in the draft, i just dont care like every other 55th pick ever. And how the lakers basically forced him there.
Bronny is not an NBA caliber player in any capacity. The only reason he was drafted was for the name on the back of his jersey. This is a FACT. Nick defending it or bringing up other people doesn't change the fact of the matter. No matter how furious or loud he gets about it.
@@matthewsawczyn6592 Because the Lakers and a bunch of sports media work off of twitter. Twitter was talking about Bronny not being worth any pick (They're right) so now every sports analyst must take a 10-20 min segment on how nepotism is good and we're bad for pointing out when it happens.

This is such an overblown aspect. This is an extremely rare and once-a-generation type of scenario. It will not have any bearing on the NBA as whole.
