'Allo 'Allo! is a British sitcom television series, created by David Croft and Jeremy Lloyd,[1] starring Gorden Kaye, Carmen Silvera, Guy Siner and Richard Gibson. Originally broadcast on BBC1,[2] the series focuses on the life of a French café owner in the town of Nouvion,[2] during the German occupation of France in the Second World War, in which he deals with problems from a dishonest German officer, local French Resistance, the handling of a stolen painting and a pair of trapped airmen, all while concealing from his wife the affairs he is having with his waitresses.

Just to set the record right. Vicki Michelle is alive and well and still in possession of all her limbs. That thumbnail is horrendous and misleading.
Too many of these "Then/Now" videos have these awful fake thumbnails. Doesn't matter if the video is good and "informative", I give them thumbs down always.

Allo Allo was one of those things that emerged when all the stars were aligned. One of a kind, and it still holds up today.

I think I might have actually been watching Allo Allo in 2017, around the time Gordon Kaye passed. Thanks for putting this together and sharing it. This series had some fantastic comedy skits and so much personality.

Not all of them played in the same seasons.
The programme was broadcast from 1982 to 1992, some of the ages are from different points in the timeline. Guy Siner's and Richard Gibson's ages are given as they were in 1982 and Sue Hodge's as 30 in 1987 when she first appears, so the increase in age varies from 41 years to 36 years.
The male actors looked ca 20 years older than they actually were when the series were filmed.

Thank you 'Celebrating 1989' for going back to celebrate 1982. It's nice some ladies can defy time, with Sue Hodge only aging 35 years in the 41 years since 1982, while Carole Ashby gained a mere 34 years in the same period! Shame you didn't get Gavin Richards, who played Captain Bertorelli for most of the series. Is he still 'living out the life'? Viva Italia!
Gavin is still living, aged 77.

What a pitty that this was never aired in Germany. I think this would have busted every other Sitcom they had over there. This is the best, most lighthearted, wonderful Series I have ever come across. I watched it in Canada and never forgot how delightfully funny & brilliant the actors, the script was. God bless them all.

I hadn’t realised what a dangerous profession acting is : so many seem to end up with missing limbs etc! . So tragic : almost as bad as living in Mid Sommer !!

I went to a filming of this 1991 or so. BBC TV centre, woodlane. That all changed now.
Not so BBC anymore, sold and changed, went by at different times in last 10 years. See changes, building work going on. Was a good program. All German or french actors/ actresses!.
