27 Keeping Up Appearances Actors Who Have Tragically Passed Away
Keeping Up Appearances is a British sitcom created and written by Roy Clarke. It originally aired on BBC1 from 1990 to 1995 with two specials airing in 1997 and 2008 on PBS. The central character is an eccentric and snobbish middle class social climber, Hyacinth Bucket (Patricia Routledge), who insists that her surname is pronounced "Bouquet".[1] The show comprised five series and 44 episodes, four of which are Christmas specials. Production ended in 1995 after Routledge decided to move on to other projects. All 44 episodes have since been released on DVD.

So many names that had notable careers in stage, film and TV. Bernard Archard, Ann Sheridan, Nigel Davenport
were examples from this well of talent across the generations. Credit must be given to the writer of this series
who, I recall, also penned "Last of the Summer Wine" and "Open All Hours". One of the foremost talents
in situation comedy writing, with repeats of all of his series still being seen on UK TV screens...a thoroughly
deserved form of immortality.

I LOVED THIS SHOW. I HAVE THE ENTIRE SERIES ON DVD AND WARCH THE WHOLE SERIES ONCE A YEAR. PATRICIA ROUTLEDGE (HYACINTH BUCKET) IS STILL ALIVE. SHES 95.
