Pollock Dorm in 1984/85. The dining hall only had cafeteria style and a weekly menu back then, exactly like high school cafeteria rather than what you see today. Breakfast lunch dinner. No restaurant style. They had a sandwich shop open after hours that made the best steak hoagies on campus. Also had a cigarette machine and video games. Best comfort meal was chicken cosmos except for periodic leftovers from the Football team who also ate there, which was usually porterhouse steaks. That was a real treat.
I remember the really OLD Pollock... as in 1968 to 71. We did not have Any thing like this, just a cafeteria. There was a soft drink and a candy machine at ground level in the dorm and I lived on Reeses peanut butter cups and Soft drinks. Late night runs for HiWay square cuts of pizza ( opposite McLanahans or Gus 's cheese steak. ) I weighed 101 pounds and am 5'6. We also did not have a micro frig in our rooms back then and coffeepots, hot pots, etc were forbidden. 😏wink wink. This is very cool.
