bill cat this is because your over thinking a simple game. This is your most basic combat game. It literally revolves around the point and shoot theory. Where as like battle field requires you to take distance elevation and movement into play. If you try too hard your applying too much facts you know to a non factual game lol. My point is I've discovered the same thing also a long time ago. But in any duty game just listen to door steps. I turn down my game music announcers voices. I literally run just game soundaffecs!

I wish k/d wasn't a stat but just an objective in tdm etc. I play all gamemodes, I like diving on flags in the face of death, and I like having fun. I can't stand hearing ppl in a lobby talking shit to others about their k/d as if its the ultimate stat on your skill. I'm killing it in ghosts right now but the game is already boring because dudes are laying down IEDs and sitting in buildings with their dog because they want to keep their k/d up so they can brag in a lobby... its sad and its one of the things killing cod for me. I got a 3.45 KD and 4.8 W/L here in Ghosts, and I ALWAYS play solo. My secret- TDM and Helo Choppers. For some reason it's sooo damn easy to carry your team constantly in TDM. That and the use of the stalker and ping perks- AWESOME perks to use if you want to do well in TDM.
Ping is so nice but I didn´t use stalker now, already have perks that I find so important like getting bullets from fallen enemys and don´t show that they are death to their teammates and etc. never be seen :D
Best tip for a higher K/D: Have classes that counter everything... and I mean EVERYTHING! 1) Anti-air class (Blind Eye and MAAWS Rockets) 2) Anti-camp class (SitRep and Incognito for those bitches who whore out I.E.Ds and Motion Sensors) 3) Ghost class (Off the Grid) 4) All of the above minus MAAWS Rockets (use Specialist) Since there's no notification when your equipment gets destroyed other than a hit marker on your screen, you can easily sneak up behind them when they're distracted to kill them. From personal experience, I've killed many bitches this way since, most of the time, they're busy looking down a heavily-trafficked area, shooting your team.
The "where your team mates are is where the enemy isn't" used to be completely true now I have to disagree. The spawns are terrible!! Where is the enemy? Spawning right behind you.
Great video. Pre-aiming is a pro trick that applies to ANY CoD title. I would also add that the point on sound is spot on. However, I would add to that. You must PRE-FIRE when you hear someone coming. I.E. When you were in the guard tower up top. Rather than run around the corner to challenge or wait until they pop up on screen to fire start shooting BEFORE you see them. (which you did a variation of when you slid and shot them in the back since most people foolishly don't turn around on stairs they know have exposures to potential fire) 80% of people playing don't use a headset. Even when they do a lot of people are using dumb shit like iPod earbuds. They might hear you shooting but think it is someone else. By the time they turn the corner and are in view, they've already eaten 1 or 2 bullets. At that point the gunfight goes from being 3 shot kills on both sides to them needing to hit you thrice and you only needing to hit them 1 more time. You (should) win that almost every time. If you get killed from behind a lot or are a more 'aggressive camper' use the guard dog (or if you are much better the vulture) to watch your back end. You'll rack up kills you didn't even need to shoot for. Finally, a counter to the opening routes thing. Those are very 'pre-determined' now and everyone 'good' uses the same routes. I now open with flank routes off the rip and pick off 4 or 5 people straight away who are using the 'usual' routes. Opening routes are good for the people who aren't really paying attention but people who are better will know you are going there. Sometimes you gotta counter the counter. :)
The real answer is hidden in his gameplay. *cough* use the AK 12. lol but seriously if you can resist from the "baby buffalo" play style of just running to run without a destination you will notice a HUGE difference. Also my biggest pro tip, don't be part of the 95% of gamers that sprint straight forward on their first spawn, let everybody else do that and take a side route and take your time. I guarantee this will help you :)
rushing and camping are 2 overused terms, hell i do both. sometime it works for me and other times it doesn't. plus it doesnt really matter if you camp or rush. just play the game and do the best you can.

Well i rush a lot but i always used the vector now that i seen the honey badger class that Nero did i am starting to get a lot better and i camp when i get my score streaks it really is funny hearing them rage.
Nero I am level 51 no prestige and I have around a 1.39 k/d, as of late I have been running support and I am not getting as mad at the game because I know if I die I can still get my streaks. In Black Ops 2 I held a 2 k/d, a 1.40 isn't to hot for me either. I'm sure as I play the game more my k/d will go up. Along with other people every COD I always start with a lousy k/d and always progresses as I play the game more. Thanks for the tips man, keep up the great videos.
How do you fight the spawns though? Seriously, nine out of every ten of my deaths, is from spawning either in an enemy's sight line, or moving no more than a few feet and getting shot in the ass. There is NO EXCUSE for that in Ghosts with the maps being set up as they are.
Dear Nero. I Learned that the battle hind sometimes gets over 2 kills within a 20-40 second period. After 1 day of using the 10 streak "gryphon" or whatever its called. I has greatly increased my chance of 4-8 kills with one use. Battle hind...ehh has its moments. You could get a Loki no problem with this set-up. Try it out. Gotta have trinity rocket and hardline of course. I get 40+ kills in games with less than 10 deaths often. Went from a 1.2 to a 1.6 very quickly. Simply tactfully move in open maps with the M27 or any LMG of your preference and own. simple as that. Good vid man
I am probably one of the most inexperienced player in COD. My K/D is around 0.4, I die more than 20 times in a game and have never went a game where i dies less than 10 times, even when I play defensively, I cant go 1 kill without dying the next enemy I see, I've tried every class setup I've seen, none of them work, etc. BTW: This is not an April Fools Joke.

Glad to see doing non-static realistic environments, so it isn't blatantly obvious to even the blind that if theres something not static its probably something you should be shooting at and and realistic audios that true "chess shooters" (I almost laughed myself to tears, when you said that) have been doing correctly long before COD. I applaud them for making an attempt to legitimize themselves - but the damage this franchise has done to bring FPS's to the masses - so EVERYONE can play them wasn't the greatest idea. This is why prior to Call of Dookie, FPS's didn't make BILLIONS - because grandma and 6 year old cindy lou couldn't handle the your dead again please wait till the next round screen for 5 hours, while still having no clue what all the controls were for. Activision has built a name by giving people a simulation of doing something that previously they couldn't do before, and milked its consumers for every cent until that well went dry. Always want to skateboard and ride those awesome vert ramps but could never get the board to stick to your feet? Now you can pull all the tricks, impress your friends and kind sort of get the same feeling and feel almost as cool - and ONCE people started snatching that up the cycle began of Tony Hawk Pro Skater till people said enough and quit buying. The next great one -Guitar Hero and Rock Band - want to kind of feel like you can play an instrument and are part of your favorite rock band but never actually learn to play an instrument? Millions poured in and the same milking of their consumers, began again before it dried up. ( I will admit though selling air guitar on plastic toys and making millions snatch it up like it was eternal youth, pretty brilliant.) Then the newest crown jewel - giving millions the ability to actually be able to play and not suck at a tactical military FPS without actually bringing them a tactical military FPS, and I'll be damned they pulled that off brilliantly to as COD is their newest ride it till the masses get sick of it again title. They do HAVE great campaigns though that I always look forward to so not all bad came out of it I guess but once again what true tactical military FPS has a story? This is you - that's the enemy - demolish them with your buddies, story end. Luckily it will never kill PC military FPS games as it is to dug in - but the promise it began to show on consoles - got set back for probably a decade until the bankers/board directors finally stop trying to make the creators of said titles make horrible COD adjustments and ruin titles that had great potential. Activision and COD are just the proof that for every creator of chess, someone will come along water it down and simplify it into checkers for the masses. For true military, tactical FPS's and chess players such as myself though we know its just an arcade shooter and checkers and we are cool with it - until something like this and you just got to laugh say your piece and shake your head. Being listed under PC/Video Games and Board Games, or having camo fatigues/guns and oppossing pieces that get placed on a checkered board is where the comparisons start and stop and do not make a chess like FPS or a chessboard just in case this trully was an honest belief.

I hate videos like this, videos like these give people the false ideology that a good K/D is what matters. When in actuality it's not. If anything matters it should be things like your Win / Loss ratio, or score per minute.
I watch a lot of videos and I've never once commented but I had to here. This was a great video with lots of great tips for a player like me I'm around a 1.7 kd and since I've watched this I've climbed almost to a 2.0. Love your views of stuff very common sense stuff but most players can't break it down and be disciplined enough to do it. Very helpful man keep making videos

Great vid man, i know you won't read this but im a good cod player, always looking to get better. You have a great point with the kill streaks, before i use to only run support to help out my team but after i reached masters i learned that it wasn't helping me at all. But by then i felt that i could run assault. I just reset my stats and started to play smarter and better and ONLY ran assault. My KD skyrocketed from a 1.8 to a 3.5. I used to play domination all the time, a heavy flag capper but now i like to lay back and get the high streaks to help out my teammates. a battle hind or a pilot is a lot more efficient then just placing satcoms down and a lot more fun aswell. You deserve the subscribe.
Ive been playing COD since its first release, I love the game, Im not the greatest player but I do ok. And I feel the most important thing is to have fun. It is a GAME, some ppl get way too pissed or upset. Lets all just play and have fun, On the other hand, Your vid is great. For ppl new to COD your vids are prolly really helpful. Thanks for these realistic, down to earth tips. They make sense, and you don't have to be a gaming guru to figure them out. I always could figure out better in dom or objective based games where to be looking for people but TDM always gets me. It makes sense, though. Look for where your team is, then you can figure out where there should be a bunch of enemy.
I'm currently 2.07 overall and about 2.3 on TDM. I love the k7, mtar, USR, ak, msbs and the USR thermal sight. Great perk set up is QuickDraw, stalker, focus, amplify and takedown (if I have suppressor) if not, then it's ready up instead of takedown. Beastly set up for any game mode - even Search.
This helped me so much! I'm still kinda a noob on Ghosts, I'm only level 23 at the moment and most of my matches, I was getting over 15 kills and less than 6 deaths. :-) Thank you!
As a PC gamer, I can tell you: A decent headset with a sound card is KEY. My prefered setup is the Tritton 720+ connected via TOSSLINK to Asus Xonar Essence STX. You can hear people across the map no joke

Another good way to raise KD is to play domination, and learn to play the objective extremely hard, particularly in maps like freight where b flag is the center of attention. I have a horrible KD admittedly, but I always do good when I play objectives hard on the good maps. A good class setup for freight b flag defense is a thermal, foregrip, and extended mag sa805 or remi, with a panzerfaust, sleight of hand, quickdraw, focus, and obviously extra attachment. Playstyle is mostly keeping enemies off of b with panzer and remi/sa805, but always watching out for the many overwatch positions on the map. This is more important than getting enemies off of the flag as they will kill you and more importantly your teammates that can do the same for you. For streaks run either sentry gun and any other assault streaks, or MAAWS for clearing flags, oracle for heavy map pressure, and an Odin for taking back the b flag in the event of a
The point he makes about hearing; i agree with 200%! I do not have any form of Gaming headset but i do have surround sound. No the surround sound does just as good and honestly i can hear my team spawn behind me and the enemy even louder in front of me! I do plan on buying a gaming head set but i do recommend you getting some form of 360 audio speakers! After gaming with it i run a 2.0 average per game!

You pretty much just recapped what I went through. I got the game rather late for next gen and was so bad at it, my kid was something like .9, and I wasn't use to this as I was dominant in every other cod, my Kd was around 2.5. It just takes a little getting used too, my Kd is now 2.1 and steadily improving as I am mainly an FFA player and constantly winning my matches with less than 10 deaths. IMO, FFA helps you familiarize yourself with maps and overall makes you a better player in anymore. I go into team-based games like cranked and just dominate.
I agree with how you play 100%. I play the same way, know your maps, make a route and use your teammates as decoys lol. Most important thing just have fun playing!!!
I agree. I've never used sound in a COD more than COD: Ghosts. This is the first game that I feel that it is necessary to use Dead Silence. I can hear people running around just through my TV speaker.
Have you tried lowering your sensitivity? Another tip is to stick to the edge of the map. There are a lot of long lines of sight in this game and you can be killed from across the map very easily. Nero's tip about ADS'ing a lot is spot on. A great example of someone who knows how to use ADS effectively is TheMarkOfJ.
I recommend using quickdraw, (i sometimes forget, but i think this is the perk for faster aiming), yeah it makes you aim faster which can be really helpful for quickscopers and people who rush and use smgs, because it makes you shoot first at your enemy which means there is a high chance of you killing him first.
The key to a good K/D is to not rush move slower than the average rusher but faster than a camper improve your aim by going into extinction mode and taking aim assist off and taking the lil yankers out of the sky and try to unlock the ghilie suit the harder you are to see the easier it will be for you to get that kill.
The biggest key for high KDR in CoD:G imo is the amplify + dead silence combo... alot of people on the PC for example doesn't know to listen to the sounds... I always do this when I'm playing a FPS, so it goes without saying that I was accused of wallhacking alot at the launch and even now.

The real answer is hidden in his gameplay. *cough* use the AK 12. lol but seriously if you can resist from the "baby buffalo" play style of just running to run without a destination you will notice a HUGE difference. Also my biggest pro tip, don't be part of the 95% of gamers that sprint straight forward on their first spawn, let everybody else do that and take a side route and take your time. I guarantee this will help you :)

rushing and camping are 2 overused terms, hell i do both. sometime it works for me and other times it doesn't. plus it doesnt really matter if you camp or rush. just play the game and do the best you can.

Nero I am level 51 no prestige and I have around a 1.39 k/d, as of late I have been running support and I am not getting as mad at the game because I know if I die I can still get my streaks. In Black Ops 2 I held a 2 k/d, a 1.40 isn't to hot for me either. I'm sure as I play the game more my k/d will go up. Along with other people every COD I always start with a lousy k/d and always progresses as I play the game more. Thanks for the tips man, keep up the great videos.
How do you fight the spawns though? Seriously, nine out of every ten of my deaths, is from spawning either in an enemy's sight line, or moving no more than a few feet and getting shot in the ass.
There is NO EXCUSE for that in Ghosts with the maps being set up as they are.
Agreed with the size of most of the maps in any game mode you should not spawn almost on top of an enemy player

Dear Nero. I Learned that the battle hind sometimes gets over 2 kills within a 20-40 second period. After 1 day of using the 10 streak "gryphon" or whatever its called. I has greatly increased my chance of 4-8 kills with one use. Battle hind...ehh has its moments. You could get a Loki no problem with this set-up. Try it out. Gotta have trinity rocket and hardline of course. I get 40+ kills in games with less than 10 deaths often. Went from a 1.2 to a 1.6 very quickly. Simply tactfully move in open maps with the M27 or any LMG of your preference and own. simple as that. Good vid man

I am probably one of the most inexperienced player in COD. My K/D is around 0.4, I die more than 20 times in a game and have never went a game where i dies less than 10 times, even when I play defensively, I cant go 1 kill without dying the next enemy I see, I've tried every class setup I've seen, none of them work, etc. BTW: This is not an April Fools Joke.
I usually get such a bad score that they make fun of me on voice, but sometimes I can pull off a 7k10d or something similar. Trying to learn online some tips, this vid is good, respawnless also has good guide for ghosts.
I also seem to lose 90% of the time. I only seem to win when i have a friend playing with me, and even i still seem to lose often.

The tip in this vid is good, always aim, when you enter a new corner or buildling aim first and scan. Move, Aim, Scan, keep moving. Just played for over an hour and and I'm doing better. Also like this guy said move on the outskirts of the map.
The weird thing is that it only works for me on bo2, and then i get a lodestar.

Glad to see doing non-static realistic environments, so it isn't blatantly obvious to even the blind that if theres something not static its probably something you should be shooting at and and realistic audios that true "chess shooters" (I almost laughed myself to tears, when you said that) have been doing correctly long before COD.
I applaud them for making an attempt to legitimize themselves - but the damage this franchise has done to bring FPS's to the masses - so EVERYONE can play them wasn't the greatest idea. This is why prior to Call of Dookie, FPS's didn't make BILLIONS - because grandma and 6 year old cindy lou couldn't handle the your dead again please wait till the next round screen for 5 hours, while still having no clue what all the controls were for.
Activision has built a name by giving people a simulation of doing something that previously they couldn't do before, and milked its consumers for every cent until that well went dry.
Always want to skateboard and ride those awesome vert ramps but could never get the board to stick to your feet? Now you can pull all the tricks, impress your friends and kind sort of get the same feeling and feel almost as cool - and ONCE people started snatching that up the cycle began of Tony Hawk Pro Skater till people said enough and quit buying.
The next great one -Guitar Hero and Rock Band - want to kind of feel like you can play an instrument and are part of your favorite rock band but never actually learn to play an instrument? Millions poured in and the same milking of their consumers, began again before it dried up.
( I will admit though selling air guitar on plastic toys and making millions snatch it up like it was eternal youth, pretty brilliant.)
Then the newest crown jewel - giving millions the ability to actually be able to play and not suck at a tactical military FPS without actually bringing them a tactical military FPS, and I'll be damned they pulled that off brilliantly to as COD is their newest ride it till the masses get sick of it again title.
They do HAVE great campaigns though that I always look forward to so not all bad came out of it I guess but once again what true tactical military FPS has a story? This is you - that's the enemy - demolish them with your buddies, story end.
Luckily it will never kill PC military FPS games as it is to dug in - but the promise it began to show on consoles - got set back for probably a decade until the bankers/board directors finally stop trying to make the creators of said titles make horrible COD adjustments and ruin titles that had great potential.
Activision and COD are just the proof that for every creator of chess, someone will come along water it down and simplify it into checkers for the masses.
For true military, tactical FPS's and chess players such as myself though we know its just an arcade shooter and checkers and we are cool with it - until something like this and you just got to laugh say your piece and shake your head.
Being listed under PC/Video Games and Board Games, or having camo fatigues/guns and oppossing pieces that get placed on a checkered board is where the comparisons start and stop and do not make a chess like FPS or a chessboard just in case this trully was an honest belief.

I hate videos like this, videos like these give people the false ideology that a good K/D is what matters. When in actuality it's not. If anything matters it should be things like your Win / Loss ratio, or score per minute.
I watch a lot of videos and I've never once commented but I had to here. This was a great video with lots of great tips for a player like me I'm around a 1.7 kd and since I've watched this I've climbed almost to a 2.0. Love your views of stuff very common sense stuff but most players can't break it down and be disciplined enough to do it. Very helpful man keep making videos

Great vid man, i know you won't read this but im a good cod player, always looking to get better. You have a great point with the kill streaks, before i use to only run support to help out my team but after i reached masters i learned that it wasn't helping me at all. But by then i felt that i could run assault. I just reset my stats and started to play smarter and better and ONLY ran assault. My KD skyrocketed from a 1.8 to a 3.5. I used to play domination all the time, a heavy flag capper but now i like to lay back and get the high streaks to help out my teammates. a battle hind or a pilot is a lot more efficient then just placing satcoms down and a lot more fun aswell. You deserve the subscribe.
Ive been playing COD since its first release, I love the game, Im not the greatest player but I do ok. And I feel the most important thing is to have fun. It is a GAME, some ppl get way too pissed or upset. Lets all just play and have fun, On the other hand, Your vid is great. For ppl new to COD your vids are prolly really helpful. Thanks for these realistic, down to earth tips. They make sense, and you don't have to be a gaming guru to figure them out. I always could figure out better in dom or objective based games where to be looking for people but TDM always gets me. It makes sense, though. Look for where your team is, then you can figure out where there should be a bunch of enemy.
I'm currently 2.07 overall and about 2.3 on TDM. I love the k7, mtar, USR, ak, msbs and the USR thermal sight. Great perk set up is QuickDraw, stalker, focus, amplify and takedown (if I have suppressor) if not, then it's ready up instead of takedown. Beastly set up for any game mode - even Search.

Another good way to raise KD is to play domination, and learn to play the objective extremely hard, particularly in maps like freight where b flag is the center of attention. I have a horrible KD admittedly, but I always do good when I play objectives hard on the good maps. A good class setup for freight b flag defense is a thermal, foregrip, and extended mag sa805 or remi, with a panzerfaust, sleight of hand, quickdraw, focus, and obviously extra attachment.
Playstyle is mostly keeping enemies off of b with panzer and remi/sa805, but always watching out for the many overwatch positions on the map. This is more important than getting enemies off of the flag as they will kill you and more importantly your teammates that can do the same for you.
For streaks run either sentry gun and any other assault streaks, or MAAWS for clearing flags, oracle for heavy map pressure, and an Odin for taking back the b flag in the event of a
The point he makes about hearing; i agree with 200%! I do not have any form of Gaming headset but i do have surround sound. No the surround sound does just as good and honestly i can hear my team spawn behind me and the enemy even louder in front of me! I do plan on buying a gaming head set but i do recommend you getting some form of 360 audio speakers! After gaming with it i run a 2.0 average per game!

You pretty much just recapped what I went through. I got the game rather late for next gen and was so bad at it, my kid was something like .9, and I wasn't use to this as I was dominant in every other cod, my Kd was around 2.5. It just takes a little getting used too, my Kd is now 2.1 and steadily improving as I am mainly an FFA player and constantly winning my matches with less than 10 deaths. IMO, FFA helps you familiarize yourself with maps and overall makes you a better player in anymore. I go into team-based games like cranked and just dominate.

I agree. I've never used sound in a COD more than COD: Ghosts. This is the first game that I feel that it is necessary to use Dead Silence. I can hear people running around just through my TV speaker.

Have you tried lowering your sensitivity? Another tip is to stick to the edge of the map. There are a lot of long lines of sight in this game and you can be killed from across the map very easily. Nero's tip about ADS'ing a lot is spot on. A great example of someone who knows how to use ADS effectively is TheMarkOfJ.

I recommend using quickdraw, (i sometimes forget, but i think this is the perk for faster aiming), yeah it makes you aim faster which can be really helpful for quickscopers and people who rush and use smgs, because it makes you shoot first at your enemy which means there is a high chance of you killing him first.

His advice is good you feel like you known him for years I'm subbing him.
The key to a good K/D is to not rush move slower than the average rusher but faster than a camper improve your aim by going into extinction mode and taking aim assist off and taking the lil yankers out of the sky and try to unlock the ghilie suit the harder you are to see the easier it will be for you to get that kill.
My KD went from 1.04 to 1.08 and growing! Thanks for the tips bro!!

The biggest key for high KDR in CoD:G imo is the amplify + dead silence combo... alot of people on the PC for example doesn't know to listen to the sounds... I always do this when I'm playing a FPS, so it goes without saying that I was accused of wallhacking alot at the launch and even now.
