- Residents of Mariannhill, west of Durban, have commended police after they shot dead nine suspects who were wanted for various serious and violent crimes in the area.
Locals say the criminals have held them under siege for years. KwaZulu-Natal police say the gang was also notorious for illegally occupying homes, and turning them into drug dens.
Among the victims were three teenagers, and police found three firearms.

It sounds just like South Dallas to me
Pretty much, Dallas. Or every city in the country.
you mean looks like South Dallas or Chicago, or Detroit or Oakland, cant forget NYC when our invited guests want their luxury hotel rooms back, they miss the hot water
and teabiscuits
Remember, this was reported before it got bad then it got worse and now it's a tragedy. Keep that in mind when they say police are part of it.
Well done SAPS. Sesikhathele ukuhlahlelwa emizini yethu ilemigulukudu
Our problem started at 1994 on the 27 April till today 😢
Like all countries in Africa. Government care only for their pockets, not for the people. But the people vote them back into power evey time.
Konke konke nje kwabanguPROBLEM? 😮
Goverment strives of the countrys wealth but doesnt see for its people
konke wonke shhhh@@SBL70283
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Why cry now
Dankie maphoyisa
Kzn has been Kwalawless Natal for over three decades.
Yet our police are number one in the country, unlike your useless police officers from your province
I guess my definition of "grapic content" differs a bit.
If you want to understand SA's crime situation, look at crime statistics over the last 50 years in SA, and correlate that with who has been in control of the Government. It's almost identical to the US--for the same reasons...
...hmmm - let's just ignore certain key factors over the same period in SA, right? 😬
Where's your info coming from? All crime statistics published by the responsible agencies here in the US show crime has fallen dramatically over that time period. Once again, where's your info coming from?
It’s NOT identical, crime has fallen in the US, you’re a 🤡
Why is there so much violence in KZN. The two gunmen at the University of Fort Hare killings in the Eastern Cape where hired from KZN. Why don't the Zulus respect the sanctity of life?
Please Not Use Tribalism 🙏🏽south Africa Has Criminals All Over ,Even In Politics.
Durban is worse ahhh
Which province in SA these days which has no criminals and you hate Zulus so much 😢
@@user-rp5ko5iy4g give us statistics of others cities
Also those 2 kzn guys are not Zulu. Ok
The content that these young people consume that is made in SA promotes criminal activities and gangs, what can you expect?
You are seriously not blaming content for crime!

Wait, I don't understand, how can all that be happening when they don't have whites "keepin them down" over there?
It's South Africa.
They kicked out and killed the people who made it a wonderful place, destroyed what had been built, and now are crying because it is gone.
Were you expecting white people?

The ANC is now going into BRICS in a serious way. A new economic programme can save us. The rest of the parties follow the way of the violent, crime infested, crumbling USA.
We need ruthless law enforcers from the army & ban guns.
Such an ignorant comment. Criminals don't give a crap about gun bans and will still get them. All bans do is stop lawful people defending themselves and takes power away from the people and gives it to the gov.
Right on the first, incorrect on the second. A disarmed public cannot protect themselves. I urge you to take a look at states and countries that are more pro gun ownership and then compare their crime reports to others that are the opposite. You will quickly and clearly see the difference. Criminals by definition do not follow laws, so altering or amping up any gun control laws only affects the citizens and produces more easy targets/victims. Food for thought.
@@KeyokeSpy👏🏽👏🏽
@@KeyokeSpy "an armed community is a polite community". A gun ban will only take away guns from law-abiding citizens, bans don't work on criminals

Vote for KM Party and all of this lack of governance from ANC will come to an end and people will once again be safe in their country.
I thought life was going to get better for the majority of S Africans once apartheid was kicked to the curb. It's so sad to see things don't appear to have improved at all for many since the huge change came about in the early 1990s. Why are people still living in such squalid conditions? No wonder the crime rate is sky high. 🥺

Why do they say Durban , that place is not part of Durban and is like 18 km away from Durban please be specific
so true, Durban is worst. overrun by foreigners and criminals. havent been to durban CBS for the past 10 years. anc government and bheki cele to blame for turning a beautiful city into a waste land.
Ethekwini Metropolitan Municipality is the custodian of the Central Business District (CBD) by name of Durban. Durban as a CBD supplies, conducts business, and employs mostly people from surrounding townships such as Umlazi, KwaMashu, kwaNdengezi, Clermont & kwaDabeka, Nazareth, etc. So, all these areas (townships), as long as they belong under the geographical & territorial jurisdiction of Durban CBD & eThekwini Mun...fall under Durban and Ethekwini Municipality irrespective of the distance from the CBD. Kwa Mashu is about 40km away from Durban, however is categorised as a Durban township, so does NUZ hoz'eDurban!!!
