If Dan was playing they could have acted like the Alien: Isolation AI. Arin knows “everything” and can give Dan, who knows nothing, limited hints about the game. So Dan would explore and Arin would point him in the right direction whenever needed.

for that bs puzzle around the 7 minute mark, just flip the whole thing over so it is tilted so you can jump on it then stasis the ball then hit aim it towards the ramp area its a hell of a lot less stressful than the actual puzzle,
