I just got a PS5 slim so i don’t care if Nintendo announces it or not now as I haven’t played my Switch since I got my PS5 and am thinking about switching back to team PlayStation because of AstroBot and feel I’ve missed out on so much with the Switch being my only system until nearly 2 weeks ago.

I think the companies were allowed to show their stuff after X date and Nintendo moved the Switch 2 release back into 2025 while the deals in place stayed the same.
Fortunately no, that's not how NDA's usually work. I promise you, none of these companies were allowed to make an announcement before Nintendo. My guess is that these companies think there won't be any legal backlash because the product already leaked via Chinese accessory manufacturers. Either way, all they're doing is ensuring that Nintendo will be much more reluctant to share information with accessory manufacturers. They're screwing themselves over for short term gains.
Those “buttons” look more like releases for the joycons. They’re in exactly the same place as the old ones. I can’t even imagine using buttons in that configuration-I’ve tried to approximate it on my oled switch, and even with my big-ish hands, I would have trouble reaching around to those buttons during gameplay without moving my hands out of position, which tells me they’re not meant for gameplay (they’re also far enough out of the way to prevent accidentally pressing it).
I’m not trusting what any accessory brand says especially when they just want us to “trust me bro” with their so-called Switch 2 accessories. We don’t even know for sure if it’s called Switch 2 and I doubt it’s called that as Nintendo has yet to even have a single console have a numbered release.

This is getting out of control Nintendo really needs to get in front of this before the whole console gets leaked. To me Nintendo has been beating around the bush with the switch 2 and D brand is trying to force them to release something about it.
Well, of course, licensed accessory manufacturers are granted CAD files so they can make their products to exact measurements. Nothing surprising here; not even news.
Maybe the industry was really ready for a sooner announcement and all the stuff in the backend was ready to go. Now we have a lot of sources for leaks and the probability for more grows with every day. Like a premade post promoting a game and mentioning the actual console name in it, in a picture or something else. Nintendo could loose control of the narrative.
