Matthew Neathery i imagine it is like that so you stop as quick as possible by the uphill slowing you even more and take off as quick as possible to stop you falling over the edge so the downhill pushes you to gain even more sped, i imagine it was designed purposely like that. :)

It a cross between KTEX and a small, steep runway in Mexico on the US/Mexican border.

I've actually landed at courchevel. Skiing was good. Landing was terrifying.
Landed there once. Or at least, I tried to. Too much fog and I smacked my landing gear into a hill, flipping my plane forward
The first aircraft is still bigger than any other aircraft that usually land at courchevel.

Actually I wonder if some of these larger jet landings might be hypothetically possible if there was minimal fuel on board, no passengers or baggage and only flight crew.

The 787 hardly made the takeoff but the 747 made it omg I fainted
747 is a really tough and capable aircraft. 747 has a lot of reserve thrust with 4 engines and 4 thrust reversers to get it stopped for the landing. Boeing took off and landed at over 1,000,000 lbs takeoff weight with no problem in a 747.
Nice to know the physics on X-Plane are so bad..I won't bother buying it now

You should have use AF702 instead of AF4590. This would have been way more logical, cus courchevel is on the CDG-ABJ route. Also AF4590 is concorde's crash.
