I saw Marty Stuart last night, and he was just amazing. Rockabilly, surfer tunes, gospel, old country, country swing. Just perfection. And his band is amazing. It's great to see Earl Scruggs' grandson on stage. And it's also nice to see them all be such nice people. I have a lot of respect for Marty Stuart and his work to preserve old country music artifacts and traditions.

Had the pleasure of chatting with her when The Byrds, Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman, had Marty and his band join them on the 50th Anniversary of Sweetheart of the Rodeo tour…the first two shows were in LA. She was just standing around and talking to people at intermission…most people didn’t even know who she was. It was so great to catch her later at this show when Marty opened for another band.
I met Connie Smith at the Women’s Memorial for the Military services in a Washington DC but she was so thankful for women in the military paving the road for women. She was beautiful in this beautiful dress sitting in the grass . It was awesome experience. Love u

I used to live across the road from them, Johnny Cash lived next door to them. I was in a great neighborhood and didn’t really know it. Lol but I had a friend that was mail man and he knew where everyone lived lol.
Well at least nobody was talking in the background the whole damn time they were singing, cause that would have been seriously annoying, but nope, could of heard a pin drop. Gotta be grateful for little things like good audiences that aren't so full of themselves that they never quite seem capable of putting a sock in it. So at least there's that part.
Actually, by far the best version of this song I've heard was recorded live some years ago by Clive Gregson and Christine Collister. Their's has more heartache than this version, which strikes me as being far too happy. The weird thing is, Clive and Christine are both British, but theirs was apparently an on-again, off-again type of relationship, and they definitely meant it when they sang it. They also did a great job with "I Heard the Lonesome Whistle Blow".
