Nymphing & Dry Dropper BOTH with EURO Rod - Fall in Colorado

- Fly Fishing Colorado in November. Once again going with the hopper dropper rig but this time doing a hybrid Euro Nymphing approach called High Sticking. Had a great time catching wild rainbows and browns.
Gear:
Rod - Orvis Recon 10ft 3wt
Reel - Orvis Clearwater 5wt
Line - Elite RIO Gold 5wt floating line
Leader - 9ft nylon leader
Leader/Tippet Connection - triple surgeons knot
Tippet - 3ft 5X mono to first fly
Tippet - 24 inches 6x fluorocarbon to dropper
Net - Fishpond Nomad Carbon Fiber
Flies:
Dry - Chubby (size 16)
Dropper - Rainbow Warrior Variation (size 18)
Black Beauty Baetis (size 20)

Yep. Worked pretty well especially with a tight line kind of method.
What’s flys were you using?
Humpy dry fly in tan. Dropper was a baetis and a variation of a rainbow warrior I tied.
