Pastor Greg, your spiritual insight and wisdom is truly Holy Spirit led! I have been a believer for over 46 years, but never made a solemn, personal commitment to Jesus. This reply is coming from a guy that was studying to be a church pastor! In last two years, God, thru His Holy Spirit has illuminated my direction to walk strictly with Jesus! I am not stating that I do not have valleys, but Psalm 23, along with ALL of the other promises in the Word, give me blessed assurance every day of my life! There you go following preachers that tickle the ears and say what you wanna hear. The commandments are plain as day “THOU SHALL NOT KILL” there are no exceptions! Never in scripture does it make a difference between killing and murder. There are laws today that make breaking ALL the Ten Commandments legal, just goes to show you who’s running this world. Pastors can take a obscure text and make a sermon to say whatever they want and you’ll believe it! Unless you know the scriptures yourself. Killing is not sanctioned by God and defined as murder. I'm a baby Christian, and I am following Gods laws, the Sunday sabbath worship was made by a man, not God, Constantine a Roman, one of those who crucified Christ, he made the sunday sabbath, a lie, Sunday, so named by pagans, the day of sun worship... I'm a baby Christian learning about my saviour during the pandemic when I was given time to look search and question, the bible says sabbath Saturday the 7th day of the week I pray and worship every day but sabbath, Saturday is when I rest in the presence of God, I pray for people to turn back to the lord, and to follow the law of God not men who act like gods, they wont be sitting on that throne, they wont be there when we meet on the day of the Lords return... @@apostolicevangelist8722 ah, thankyou and bless you too, it's hard to know what to do, Covid has me trapped in and worship anywhere isnt easy, especially when my local church, only opens on Sunday and even then because of covid, there is no service, no music, no Gods words, I was excited to attend, being new and enthusiastic, but the pastor sat to the side doing some paper work, i was the only one there and i sat alone and read my bible.... i decided to move closer to the pastor maybe he would give me words of encouragement and enter into prayer, but, .. it was very strange,... we ended up in a conversation about other religions, I'm not well read on this one yet but he said something that stopped my breath for a moment, he said that we must be mindful about other gods and get along with them without upsetting them, I've no intention of upsetting anyone, but I said are we not supposed to teach them about "The God, the living God, the only God that promises life eternal? He replied no we should be tolerant and encourage them to integrate!!! " I dont know what happened, but the next moment I was stood at his side, with my hand on his shoulder and I prayed out loud for him, I asked for Gods holy spirit to come down and help him, he sat there in silence, I went and sat back down, i trusted God and flipped that bible open and read the first thing i saw, a story about a farmer and seeds being planted some on good ground some on stony, ... i wished him well, and said "the seed is planted" and left, i havent been back, i cant find a church thats open on a Saturday round here, so i decided that because i pray and study and think everyday and i make Saturday sabbath special, i rest read and maybe watch a Christian film, or a service online, then I treat Sunday as a bonus and this week I went to another church for fellowship and to be inspired... it was my first time as a baby Christian to sit in a room with other Christian's, the reading he did could have been written just for me..I sat at the rear on my own and tears of joy ran down my cheeks, I think I'm going to be ok with this arrangement with God at least I hope I am,.. xxx God bless and thankyou for your kind words x one day hopefully we'll meet in that mansion, I hope I'm good enough to get there.... xxxxx

To see people rejecting the 7th day sabbath 2000 years after Christ came and told us if we love him, keep his commandments, is very disturbing. Sunday worship is man made and not authorized by God nor scripture. Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

I love the ten commandments, matter of fact I have them tattoed on my right arm. And I wear sleveless shirts so everyone can see them. And it's a pretty big tattoo. Then when people ask me about it. I explain them and then I witness to them ( you can actually read them -its not a small tattoo) it's the tablets it's sandstone color and you can see some cracks in the stone
And do you keep all 10? That would be wrong to have a tattoo and yet dont keep ALL 10. Even the 7th day Sabbath which never was changed and never will be says the Lord. Is this commandment, "Do not stab a knife through anyone's heart", a traffic law or a prison bar? A traffic law can be broken, and remain in innocence. But if one jot or tittle the Law of GOD be removed or bent or broken, death is imminent. They are not just guidelines, but they are barriers and limits - not prison bars, but opposite of prison bars; because outside of the prison bars there is freedom, and outside of the boundaries of GOD's Law there is prison of death. Six days you shall labor, and the seventh day (Saturday - from sunset to sunset) is the LORD's Day, in which you shall not work, but rest from all mundane works in the perfect works of your Father in heaven - and it shall be as a sign to you that you worship Him Who created the heaven and earth in six days and rested on the seventh day and blessed it and hallowed it - as He hallowed the marriage between the man and the woman And what GOD has blessed, let no man unbless. That which GOD unites, let no man separate. Remember the first Commandment: Do not have other gods before Me. That is, if you worship the trinity, you are putting false gods before GOD and His Son, because the trinity denies that Jesus Christ is the literal begotten Son of GOD who proceeded from the Father's Own Boson in the eternity past, before the foundations of the world, before the heavens and earth was created. Worship GOD and His Divine Son alone in truth and in Spirit, because Jesus Christ is the only true begotten will of the Father in Heaven, and worshiping Him, you pay homage to Him according to Whose will Jesus is. Here is the patience of the saints, here are those who keep the Commandments of GOD and the faith of Jesus. His be the glory at all time, for He is the only true, fully expressed glory of the Father in heaven. Amen.
The #1 offense is breaking the Sabbath. Most believers aren’t keeping this commandment and this means they are out of covenant with God. God said the Sabbath would be holy to His set apart people in Expdus 31. It is a sign we are in covenant with Him forever in Exodus 31 and Ezekiel 20. It is a perpetual covenant. He made it for us and He set it apart as holy and He sanctified it. John tells us in 1 John 5:3 “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments and they are not burdensome.” So if a person sees the Sabbath as a burden, they don’t love God and if they disobey His commandments, they don’t love Him. His people love Him and obey. He said He wanted obedience rather than sacrifice and we can’t bring Him an unacceptable sacrifice. Cain did this and it didn’t go well for him. “There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is the way of death.” God said disobeying His commanments would result in curses and death. The wages of sin is death, and breaking the Sabbath commandment is sin.
Left the Calvary Chapels 10 yrs ago. As a new believer in 1985 attending Calvary's I grew under the expository teaching, but little did I know that it was a lot of commentary intermixed. Greg you will have a greater judgment as a teacher and you know this. The Sabbath isn't on Sunday. The mother church to christendom is Roman Catholic that removed the 2nd commandment of Idolatry, them split the 10th into 2. Most Calvary pastors teach that the commandments and the LORDS feasts found in Lev 23 have been done away with, along with the commands not to eat unclean foods. I am no longer deceived but read and believe the entire Scriptures ( TORAH ) Btw Noah already knew what animals were clean and UNCLEAN, he wasn't a Yudah. In fact, a percentage would like nothing more than to forget it. The three stooges is obviously an easy thing to recall, I've never even watched the show and know their names. Now, as for the ten commandments. It's simply my opinion but I feel that a couple of the reasons that have contributed to the fact it's not something many people can recite include; the way church/religion is introduced (well, in the majority of the U.S.), how it's conducted and especially when you take in to account the age at which it's introduced. Individually, each of these factors on their own can and have created a determination in a child's mind that they don't like the experience and therfore don't pay attention. The other possibility it's not something people consider crucial to memorize is that the majority of civilization has morals and the ten commandments are examples of things that our morals have established as inappropriate.
When Jesus talks of us telling the mtn to be cast into the sea, He's not necessarily speaking of what we've been taught. What He's referring to is Mt. Sinai. The law of Moses. The big 10. The law that brings only sin and death. The law He came to fulfill. The law of anything but grace. The relentless war inside trying to lie to us that we're not worthy. That we're sinners. That we need to work harder, longer, dig deeper to earn favor w/God. This is mans greatest obstacle. This is the unclimbable mtn that we need removed. Jesus's blood no less protects us from the law then it does profect us. AMEN
You said: “The 10 Commandments form the foundation of our legal system.” But besides stealing and murder, which of the Commandments actually have a correlation to any law in our legal system?
What about the 4th commandment? Does the BIBLE say Sabbath or Sunday? If the BIBLE is our only source of truth then we should be accurate and be very careful of how the message is related. And as listeners we need also to read the BIBLE as well. Some argued that the Sabbath was for the Jewish. If so then the whole BIBLE is only for the Jews so what about the Gentiles?
The Children of the Light know the way to the Father and his Kingdom. For the children of God know that the Sabbath is SATURDAY. Paul called the ministry of the 10 Commandments the ministry of death and condemnation. 2 Corinthians 3:6-11 The law is the KNOWLEDGE OF SIN (Romans 3:20) kind of like the fruit of the knowledge of Good and Evil, which God said, "do not eat of it lest you die." Romans 7:6 but now (in Christ) we are delivered from the law (10 commandments). Sin shall not have power over you because you are not under the law but under Grace. The strength of sin is the law 1 Corinthians 15:56 Anyone trying to be justified by the law is fallen from Grace. Galatians 5:4 I dont think this guy gives us EVERYTHING about the 10 commandments. The law is a completely different covenant from Grace, and once the faith in Christ has come, we are NO LONGER under the law. Mixing the law and Grace covenants is like mixing old wineskins with new wine or mixing cold and hot getting lukewarm. Jesus said don't do it. You'll end up with nothing.
Jesus teaches that we are under the Law/Commandments but are to repent of the laws we break. We are able to repent because He died on the cross for us. Psalm 119:150 - They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law. Matthew 5:17 - Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Rev. 14:12 - Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Matthew 4:17 - From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

@@PoseMotion Jesus didn't preach that Christians are under the law. He came first and foremost for the Jews. They are under the law. The Tribulation is for the Jews (Daniel 9:24), and a remnant of them will be saved during the Tribulation. They are the ones that keep the commandments and have a testimony of Christ. I'm not saying it's okay to sin. I'm saying by being under the law covenant is what makes it so difficult to overcome sin. Grace is what teaches us to live more godly lives. The law just shows us we can not live more godly lives. Titus 2:11-12

Be careful that you are worshiping the true God. When you break the Second Commandment, you will break the First, and Third, and Fourth Commandment (which tells us Who God is and how we are to worship Him). The Second Commandment isn't about physical images, but is about the god we create for ourselves in our minds... "That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man." (Mark 7:20-23) The god of our own creation - no matter how much it resembles the True God - CANNOT save us. "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 7:21-23) God has Commanded, we must obey. And thank our TRUE God that He gives us help to obey Him (Jeremiah 31:33, Hebrews 8:10, Ezekiel 36:26-27, 2 Corinthians 3:3)!
I have question about dragons and why/what/who are they and how do they fit in the Bible. I ask this because satan was thrown down to earth with *a dragon* or something along those lines I asked “so were dragons in heaven? Are dragons bad? If dragons are bad why was that one in heaven? I love the ten commandments, matter of fact I have them tattoed on my right arm. And I wear sleveless shirts so everyone can see them. And it's a pretty big tattoo. Then when people ask me about it. I explain them and then I witness to them ( you can actually read them -its not a small tattoo) it's the tablets it's sandstone color and you can see some cracks in the stone
And do you keep all 10? That would be wrong to have a tattoo and yet dont keep ALL 10. Even the 7th day Sabbath which never was changed and never will be says the Lord. Sabbath is found in Genesis after Creation God Blessed and Hallowed the seventh day. There where no Jews then.

Is this commandment, "Do not stab a knife through anyone's heart", a traffic law or a prison bar? A traffic law can be broken, and remain in innocence. But if one jot or tittle the Law of GOD be removed or bent or broken, death is imminent. They are not just guidelines, but they are barriers and limits - not prison bars, but opposite of prison bars; because outside of the prison bars there is freedom, and outside of the boundaries of GOD's Law there is prison of death. And true freedom is found within GOD's Holy Law - that is within the love and character and will of the infinite Creator.
Remember the Seventh Day - the LORD's Sabbath - to keep it Holy. Six days you shall labor, and the seventh day (Saturday - from sunset to sunset) is the LORD's Day, in which you shall not work, but rest from all mundane works in the perfect works of your Father in heaven - and it shall be as a sign to you that you worship Him Who created the heaven and earth in six days and rested on the seventh day and blessed it and hallowed it - as He hallowed the marriage between the man and the woman And what GOD has blessed, let no man unbless. That which GOD unites, let no man separate.
Remember the first Commandment: Do not have other gods before Me. That is, if you worship the trinity, you are putting false gods before GOD and His Son, because the trinity denies that Jesus Christ is the literal begotten Son of GOD who proceeded from the Father's Own Boson in the eternity past, before the foundations of the world, before the heavens and earth was created. Worship GOD and His Divine Son alone in truth and in Spirit, because Jesus Christ is the only true begotten will of the Father in Heaven, and worshiping Him, you pay homage to Him according to Whose will Jesus is.
Here is the patience of the saints, here are those who keep the Commandments of GOD and the faith of Jesus.
His be the glory at all time, for He is the only true, fully expressed glory of the Father in heaven. Amen.
The #1 offense is breaking the Sabbath. Most believers aren’t keeping this commandment and this means they are out of covenant with God. God said the Sabbath would be holy to His set apart people in Expdus 31. It is a sign we are in covenant with Him forever in Exodus 31 and Ezekiel 20. It is a perpetual covenant. He made it for us and He set it apart as holy and He sanctified it.
John tells us in 1 John 5:3 “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments and they are not burdensome.” So if a person sees the Sabbath as a burden, they don’t love God and if they disobey His commandments, they don’t love Him. His people love Him and obey. He said He wanted obedience rather than sacrifice and we can’t bring Him an unacceptable sacrifice. Cain did this and it didn’t go well for him. “There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is the way of death.” God said disobeying His commanments would result in curses and death. The wages of sin is death, and breaking the Sabbath commandment is sin.

Left the Calvary Chapels 10 yrs ago. As a new believer in 1985 attending Calvary's I grew under the expository teaching, but little did I know that it was a lot of commentary intermixed. Greg you will have a greater judgment as a teacher and you know this. The Sabbath isn't on Sunday. The mother church to christendom is Roman Catholic that removed the 2nd commandment of Idolatry, them split the 10th into 2. Most Calvary pastors teach that the commandments and the LORDS feasts found in Lev 23 have been done away with, along with the commands not to eat unclean foods. I am no longer deceived but read and believe the entire Scriptures ( TORAH ) Btw Noah already knew what animals were clean and UNCLEAN, he wasn't a Yudah. Yahweh told him to take so many of the clean and so many of the unclean animals. Shalom to the ones who have ears to hear and eyes to see.

In fact, a percentage would like nothing more than to forget it. The three stooges is obviously an easy thing to recall, I've never even watched the show and know their names. Now, as for the ten commandments. It's simply my opinion but I feel that a couple of the reasons that have contributed to the fact it's not something many people can recite include; the way church/religion is introduced (well, in the majority of the U.S.), how it's conducted and especially when you take in to account the age at which it's introduced. Individually, each of these factors on their own can and have created a determination in a child's mind that they don't like the experience and therfore don't pay attention. The other possibility it's not something people consider crucial to memorize is that the majority of civilization has morals and the ten commandments are examples of things that our morals have established as inappropriate.
I think Satan knew Jesus would die, but I don't believe he knew that He would rise, otherwise he would not have engineered Hid death.
When Jesus talks of us telling the mtn to be cast into the sea, He's not necessarily speaking of what we've been taught. What He's referring to is Mt. Sinai. The law of Moses. The big 10. The law that brings only sin and death. The law He came to fulfill. The law of anything but grace. The relentless war inside trying to lie to us that we're not worthy. That we're sinners. That we need to work harder, longer, dig deeper to earn favor w/God. This is mans greatest obstacle. This is the unclimbable mtn that we need removed. Jesus's blood no less protects us from the law then it does profect us. AMEN

What about the 4th commandment? Does the BIBLE say Sabbath or Sunday? If the BIBLE is our only source of truth then we should be accurate and be very careful of how the message is related. And as listeners we need also to read the BIBLE as well. Some argued that the Sabbath was for the Jewish. If so then the whole BIBLE is only for the Jews so what about the Gentiles?

Paul called the ministry of the 10 Commandments the ministry of death and condemnation. 2 Corinthians 3:6-11
The law is the KNOWLEDGE OF SIN (Romans 3:20) kind of like the fruit of the knowledge of Good and Evil, which God said, "do not eat of it lest you die."
Romans 7:6 but now (in Christ) we are delivered from the law (10 commandments).
Sin shall not have power over you because you are not under the law but under Grace.
The strength of sin is the law 1 Corinthians 15:56

The law is a completely different covenant from Grace, and once the faith in Christ has come, we are NO LONGER under the law.
Mixing the law and Grace covenants is like mixing old wineskins with new wine or mixing cold and hot getting lukewarm. Jesus said don't do it. You'll end up with nothing.
Christ said I didn't come to change the law but fulfilled it.

Jesus teaches that we are under the Law/Commandments but are to repent of the laws we break. We are able to repent because He died on the cross for us.

@@patriciadault8983 Yes, the law is still a very valid covenant. And He did fulfill them. But you are supposed to choose one covenant or the other. Mixing them, trying to be under both covenants Paul calls it adultry (Romans 7:1-4) so by mixing them you are found guilty of adultry in the old, and you can not go into the New unless you die to the old.

@@PoseMotion Jesus didn't preach that Christians are under the law. He came first and foremost for the Jews. They are under the law. The Tribulation is for the Jews (Daniel 9:24), and a remnant of them will be saved during the Tribulation. They are the ones that keep the commandments and have a testimony of Christ.
I'm not saying it's okay to sin. I'm saying by being under the law covenant is what makes it so difficult to overcome sin. Grace is what teaches us to live more godly lives. The law just shows us we can not live more godly lives. Titus 2:11-12

Be careful that you are worshiping the true God. When you break the Second Commandment, you will break the First, and Third, and Fourth Commandment (which tells us Who God is and how we are to worship Him). The Second Commandment isn't about physical images, but is about the god we create for ourselves in our minds... "That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man." (Mark 7:20-23) The god of our own creation - no matter how much it resembles the True God - CANNOT save us.

@@batteryacids5319 Yeah, it’s called attempting to reconstruct Biblical morality and the more consequentialistic your moral understanding the closer you become to simply reproducing what’s already written, as I explain further in Section 2.3 of my 2019 book, _Fairytale?: Why Christianity Isn’t One._ No surprise because an omniscient being who’s also omnibenevolent would have to be omniutilitarian in order to reconcile the two.
