Kyle Soderman is the most well-studied evader in WCT. It's like he's declined, he's just become the Ryu. He's elevated the game, and the game showed up.

    • @theonlymegumegu

For sure! It would be really easy but preemptive to claim that he's fallen back, but I really do think that if you take a hard look, you really see that the competition around him has just AMPED UP incredibly. No team wants to be the ones that just let him run the quad all by himself anymore XD

Agree. Kyle's as good as ever, but less dominant as others improve. I think he may still have the best stamina.

That was a crazy match between 2 incredible teams! Injuries will happen at any time, Luciano with a serious knee injury, I mean that had to hurt and Surge had a dislocated finger and manage to pop it back in and still get an evasion on the 14th chase, I mean that was amazing! But once again Hollywood Freerunners with the win, no surprise there, they’re going against the reigning champions Apex Moon, and I they have a great shot of beating them this time with Amos on the team as well as Omar and Kyle!

The fact that we don't see more severe injuries than we do is testament to every athlete who plays this sport both in their skill, and their luck. We came inches from seeing a man get curb stomped only to see a knee blown out by what should have been a pretty routine jump.

The game should be stopped immediately for such injuries; it'll come the day when the injury would be so grave that they'll ask 'why you let the games go on and not rescued the person immediately'.
And with head blow the player should be sent to the hospital for checking. In football(soccer) they're just learning that after years, you cannot go back like you're in "60.
Also, as another user said, all hanging earrings and necklaces should be removed for the competitions like in all Federal campionship.
This sport has grown up so much from the beginning where you were still unsure of all the rules, athletes got a lot betters, techno as well, etc. But to made it at a higher level, to maybe one day be recognized as a sport to world level, you should value the safety of the athletes first.

Frankly, that is quite possible. Ain't sure whether it should be banned by the rules (I'm usually a loud advocate of people being responsible for themselves and their own choices, as opposed to someone else trying to babysit us "for our own good") but I do agree that it's silly (to say the least) to increase the chance of a nasty injury just for the sake of being "fashionable" while doing sports.

As to football (American one, presumably?) And f1 - I think you may have missed a crucial step there: why don't you try suggesting mandatory helmets for all WCT athletes first, cuz safety, right?) @strixcz ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@leth5540 The thing with helmets / mandatory safety gear in WTC is that it would restrict the athletes and hinder their performance (which is why I hope to never see this implemented). Competing without a long dangling earring, on the other hand, won't have any other effect than removing one completely unnecessary risk of injury (and in a very unlikely yet not completely impossible situation, not only for the athlete who wears it). Like I said in my other comment, I'm not sure whether this should still be left up to each athlete's personal choice or not but you can't really compare the two things as one comes with a tradeoffs, while the latter doesn't have any...
